For the very first time, Iโ€™m in New Zealand, and what better place to start than Queenstownโ€”the adventure capital of the world. Nestled between towering mountains and the stunning waters of Lake Wakatipu, this town has it all. I based myself at the peaceful Ora Retreat, the perfect spot to recharge before diving into an epic mix of adventure and natural beauty.

From breathtaking hikes through Queenstownโ€™s scenic trails to an unforgettable cruise aboard the historic TSS Earnslaw, every moment here was something special. I took on the Hydro Attack Shark Experience, an insane semi-submersible ride that feels like being inside a real-life torpedo, and soaked in the unmatched beauty of New Zealandโ€™s landscapes from both land and water.

Queenstown truly has something for everyone, whether youโ€™re into adrenaline-pumping thrills or simply taking in the incredible surroundings. This is just the beginning of my New Zealand adventure, and I canโ€™t wait to share more! Let me know in the comments what youโ€™d love to see next. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ

  2. Hey Paddy thrilled you love our contry and are having a blast. I'm from the north island but spend eight weeks every year caravaning around the south island and you're right it is the most beautiful place in the world. The scenery is outstanding. Welcome to NZ โคโค

  3. Awesome video mate! Im a Kiwi thru & thru who spends a lot of time in Thailand (An older inverted version of yourself lol). So glad you had an amazing experience and we turned on some good weather during your stay. I had to laugh as I was actually in the region the same 2 weeks as you and did a lot of walks including the Routeburn. What a mind blowing experience it was…….cant wait to see your vid of Milford & Routeburn & Mt Cook!!!
As a kiwi, we think of this special place as our back yard but every time we venture into it we have to stop and take it in as its splendour is truly breath taking! Thank you for capturing the joy you felt playing in our very special back yard! ๐Ÿ™‚…….P.S You definately need to come back for again for that Ferg Burger!

  4. Unfortunately, much of the cold-country vegetation was introduced and is now difficult to control: heather, thistle, gorse, daisies, even pine trees. The palm-looking trees are native cabbage trees or tฤซ kลuka. They are not uncommon in UK gardens as they seem to do ok in the UK climate! The leaves are not good for your lawn mower, and they shed them like they're going out of fashion, but they are probably my fav NZ plant.

  5. New Zealand is home to the worldโ€™s steepest residential street!
Baldwin Street in Dunedin holds the Guinness World Record for the steepest street in the world, with a gradient of 34.8%! It's so steep that during a local charity event, people used to roll Jaffas (round red candies) down the hill for fun.

    I love New Zealand โค

  6. I first went to Queenstown on Holiday in 1970 , at the age of six years old, with my mum and dad , older brother and his fiancee (we lived in Dunedin). I still remember a lot about it , I was very impressed, and have very fond memories of it. It was a much smaller place then , much quieter, but still had a tourist town feel , and also a popular place for skiers .We had several more holiday's there over the years , and in other parts of Central Otago. I'ts a very special region.
