My ULTIMATE 3 day tour in rural Japan! (Hikone, Omihachiman, Sekigahara, and more!) In 2024
We visited rural Japan for 2.5 days. The towns we explored: Hikone, Omihachiman, Sekigahara, Nagahama, Otsu, and two mountains: Mount Ibuki, and Mount Hiei. Best time to visit will be in November and April. Where the temperature is just right. Not too hot, and not too cold. Here is our hotel we stayed in: KAMENOI HOTEL HIKONE. If you would like to spend more time at lake Biwa, sure why not extend your trip to 3 – 6 days. There are lots of things to do around there! The shrine we visited: Mangetsu-ji Ukimido (Floating Hall).
