Great Wall of China – FULL Hike & Hotel Tour | China Walk | 4K Cinematic

Join me on an incredible uninterrupted walking tour of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, the Badaling Great Wall (八达岭长城), located 80 km north of Beijing. We’ll kick things off with a tour of our beautiful accommodation at the well-known Great Wall Courtyard Hostel (长城老院子). After an overnight stay, we’ll set off early in the morning to the base of the Wall.

For the main event, I’ll share uninterrupted footage of the climb up to the 7th Tower, where most tourists finish, before descending via the Cable Car back to the Badaling Great Wall car park. (There’s also a fun Toboggan option next to the 4th North Tower!)

The Badaling section of the Great Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty in 1505 to secure a commanding position for protecting the Juyongguan Pass to the south, further safeguarding the city of Beijing. Notably, on February 24, 1972, President Richard Nixon and his wife, accompanied by Vice Premier Li Xiannian, visited Badaling during his historic journey to China. Many other world leaders, including Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, and Mikhail Gorbachev, have also made the trip here.
To wrap up the tour, I’ll take you on an uninterrupted walk back to the hostel, followed by an exploration of a nearby cluster of hostels and restaurants located in the Badaling “Ancient Town.”
