I was so surpised to find a new supermarket had opened in my town. You all know eventually I had to make a video there. I have almost made a video of every brand if supermarket in my town now. Only a couple of places left. What do you think of this Hard Discount format from this video? Do you shop in places like this? Let me know.
The Magnit branded store i pointed out, I did a video on one of there stores recently, also newly opened: https://youtu.be/gy08tpV6cCE
The main opposition brand to this store today is called Chizhik, you can watch this video also: https://youtu.be/kKBTS1K367s

Here in the states we have plastic carts now.. also we have a mix of men and woman workers.. this looks quite a bit like an Aldi that’s popular here
In Southern California come in 6, 12, 18. 18 we’re $13.50 at a normal supermarket, $10.50 at a grocery outlet. Some go for $15. There is an egg shortage and prices have doubled or almost tripled. Just was surprised to see that Sprouts which is premium has 12 for $4 and a limit of 4. I guess one has to check a few grocery store websites for eggs as the prices vary and there are eggs, pasture raised eggs, cage free eggs, organic eggs. There a large and extra large sizes.
The set up of shelves vs pallet display of goods doesn't bother me. I do prefer to shop in a store that is clean and has good ability to navigate the aisles. Here in the US, I tend to grocery shop only once or twice a week so I usually require a "trolley" cart rather than the hand baskets. Sometimes it's beneficial to have more options, but that can lead to information overload & make the shopping excursion longer & more tedious. We have an Aldi in our town, as well as, plenty of larger big box supermarkets. Thank you for sharing this video with us
It's setting looks like Costco in the States and Canada, although the prices are chocking!
Thank you for sharing, I enjoy your videos !! Do you see Canadian products in Russian grocery stores ?
Hello Russel
Goodnight.
In relation to the prices of the same products that are sold here in Portugal, in Russia they are much cheaper, it would be useful for my retirement equivalent to 65,250 Rubles.
What amazes me about Russia, whether in small supermarkets or large supermarkets, is that they always have a wide variety of sweets and chocolates, here there is not so much variety.
This package of Fairy, here costs around 3 Euros, around 310 rubles.
Hugs.
It sure looks cheap 😅
How it's displayed I'm not really worried about, But I love the prices. My pension would go far in Moscow.
Interesting difference in supermarket. Americans would love that store, they love discount stores. Your camera seems less clear and vivid.
Nice place, prices are really cheap
It's a bit like kwik save in wales, farmfoods across the uk & maybe shoprite on isle of man… we have aldi but they're not great, food round the outside walls & household hardware + novelty stuff & toys in the middle… Lidl are great for food in the UK… but we have Morrisn's with the more card saving & tesco with club card discounts (2 main ones I use with occasional Lidl visits)… compared with Russia the range of food stuff is limited in all supermarkets, prices are more than 50% higher… price of diesel for delivery trucks and electricity costs are making our supermarkets cut this & that to reduce the amount of trucks to cut diesel costs so we suffer…
Watching your supermarket tours… maybe a move to Russia is worth seriously considering.
The prices are cheap but then the store manager is making less than 1000USD a month.
We have egg prices soaring here in the US. Minimum price is $3.50/12. In New York it is $9.00 for 12!
19:56 the shop you are in is very utility or basic. In america the more basic the shop (Aldi) the less you will pay for groceries. On the other end of the stick, you have Walmart and Giant Eagle where beautiful presentation is everything. The walmart shop looks nice but you will pay more for groceries there
Are you thinking what I'm thinking B1?😁
Did you film this when the store was open ?
And russia is the enemy, my a$$ it's the Globalists. 😊
Is it cold inside the store? Eggs are usually inside a cooler where I live.
I'm 68 years old. I have never heard anything positive about Russia. Ever. Your channel has provided great insight at the level of propaganda in our news reporting and even in school History classes. My mind has imploded over those LOW LOW prices. I am an Aldi and mom/pop farm store shopper so the store set-up is something I am very used to. Everything I would need for meals and baking seems available at B1. I'm not a gourmet foddie, simple and nutritious is what I do. At my age, I will never be able to travel to Russia and I so enjoy seeing Russia everyday life. Thank you, Russell, for creating such great content.
We don't have shops like that in the USA, but I wish we did. It seems like a very smart concept — very little overhead and better pricing. I'm surprised that the eggs are not refrigerated for freshness — it must be a cultural thing to keep them in the open.
I like how everything is well organized and clean. Greetings from the United States. 👍🇺🇸
look i understand a few things but tell me the Russian government doesn't set prices on domestic food production by russian held companies without telling me. I say this due to your repeated pointing out of prices. Yet the barilla pasta is only 4 cents cheaper then here in the US. Show the store I understand you can't speak to the realities of economy.
I love how bright and clean all of the stores are there. The prices are awesome too.
Dozen eggs in Las Vegas today 7.69 😮
Wow very good prices in Russia that is good for peoples
Price
The store looks beautiful my friend
The manager want to be near the alcohol because he like to drink the vodka
