If you're near the Myanmar border there's a few different Tai minorities there. The Shan also live in Shan state and Thais call them Tai Yai. Then there's the Khün people who have settles in three countries. I only ate Tai Lü food once when I was in Yunnan because everywhere has way more Han Chinese than Dai people but one time I hitchhiked into Xishuangbanna with a Dai local. I remember lots of seafood. I never saw the crispy mantou before! In Mongolia they have pretty much unrecognizable forms of Baozi and some other Chinese foods but I've only ever seen steamed mantou before. This makes me really want to go to this region which I always avoided because Chiang Mai is full of farang and everywhere else in Thailand is great to visit too.

You have to pound the garlic with chilli and if you have some Phuk Shee roots its a better Phad Kra Pao Kung; and even better with eggs. Lol Theres mini fish souce and soy souce also. 🎉🎉
