    I am from Thailand and I would like to recommend Cambodia, a beautiful country with friendly people. But I go far and I don't know why Cambodians often say that Thais are badmouthing them, saying that their country has thieves, pickpockets, scammers, when this news is not even in Thailand and we even recommend tourists to visit Cambodia. I really mean it. And there are many Cambodians on social media who criticize Thailand badly many times, such as in your comment.

    Totally wrong in your information, Siam applied the cultural from Khom not Khmer, Khom Thai is originated in Sri thep kingdom and UNESCO has approved it already. In addition, Siam has accupied and ruled Khmer (Campuchia) for 432 years, and transmited Siam culture to Campuchia, because there are some Royal Campuchia has adopted by the King of Thailand. They are begged Siam to teach Siam dancing, art, food, and etc. until now. We have a lot of evidence and news that Cambodia visited to Thailand and beg to teach all of the cultural and food that Thai have. So, why did the Cambodian do that? and try to hide the fact that you are received culture from Siam or Thailand for a long time, and ungrateful to Thailand, we help you the times that Pol pot killed your people, and finally you betrayed us….Finally, you are just copy version of Thailand forever.

    and a lot of news that Thailand helps Cambodia in many aspects especially in culture, why do you put Thai in comparison, and said that Cambodia is better, and you live in Thailand? It is so difficult to understand your thoughts, or else you have been hired by Cambodian, I’ve just wondered.

    I think it's better to introduce Cambodia alone. To compare ambodia with any other country will only lessen Cambodia's attractiveness

    My wife and i went to Cambodia for 10 days in November 2024. We went to ton Le sap lake and saw the floating villages, which was a cool experience. We also saw the Apopo centre in Siem Reap (which i would recommend people support). Then bus to phnom Phen and saw the S21 prison, and the killing fields and the royal palace etc. we loved Cambodia and it has a special place in our hearts. But one thing i will say is that it is in my opinion very expensive, especially if you aren’t American and just taking USD straight from your bank account. Coming from Aus we spent far more than expected in Cambodia for 10 days. Probably 1200AUD just spending money (excl flights and accom), just activities, tuk tuks, food, massages etc for 2 people. We found Malaysia was quite affordable and cheaper than Cambodia. Definitely recommend Cambodia to visit, but i wouldn’t go back myself due to the USD being used. If i could go back i would have withdrawn and made all my payments in Riel. Unfortunetely i listened to people on forums about withdrawing USD. Use USD for Visa and thats it. We could have even paid our accom in Riel, but that was direct debited from our accounts. I would recommend to people to use RIEL for spending in Cambodia, far better rates. Generally 1 USD = 4000 Riel.
