中山市，通稱中山（官方音譯：Zhongshan；傳統外文：Chungshan），舊稱香山（傳統外文：Heungshan, Heungsan），是中國唯一一座以近現代領導人命名的地級市，位於廣東省中南部，是粵港澳大灣區的涵蓋城市之一。市境北界廣州市、佛山市，西毗江門市，南鄰珠海市，東隔珠江口與深圳市相望。位於珠江三角洲西部，珠江出海口西岸，南部是以五桂山為主的低山丘陵區，北部是平原河網區。西江主流磨刀門水道流經西緣，北江主流洪奇瀝水道斜貫東北邊界。市民政府駐東區街道松苑路1號。
中山前稱「香山」因境內五桂山多奇花異麻而得名（亦盛產「異花神仙茶」）。北宋《太平寰宇記》記載：「地多神仙花卉，故曰香山」。近代以來，湧現了中華民國臨時大總統、譽稱中華民國國父的孫中山、首任國務總理唐紹儀等名人。 1925年（民國14年4月15日），為紀念剛過世的孫中山，香山易名為中山。 中山是國家歷史文化名城，發祥於中山的香山文化是中國近代文化的重要源頭；中山亦是廣府文化的代表城市之一、廣府菜的發祥地之一，享有廣東省曲藝之鄉（粵劇） 、華僑之鄉的美譽。有旅居世界五大洲87個國家地區的海外僑胞、港澳台同胞80多萬人。
中山市是珠三角經濟圈的9個地級市之一，是一個以外向型經濟為主，工業與農業為主結合的城市。

三角鎮是中國廣東省中山市下轄的一個鎮，位於中山市北部偏東，總面積72.32平方公里，地處珠三角中心地帶，京珠高速公路貫通鎮域南北，設有大型高速公路出入口；省道南三公路橫越鎮境東西，與番中公路、105國道相連，往廣州、深圳、珠海、佛山、東莞等周邊城市均在１小時車程內。轄1個社區居委會及7個村民委員會，截至2011年底，該鎮有戶籍人口63132人，非戶籍人口（外來常住人口）60862人。

Zhongshan City, commonly known as Zhongshan (official transliteration: Zhongshan; traditional foreign language: Chungshan), formerly known as Xiangshan (traditional foreign language: Heungshan, Heungsan), is the only prefecture-level city in China named after a modern leader. It is located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province and is one of the cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The city borders Guangzhou and Foshan in the north, Jiangmen in the west, Zhuhai in the south, and Shenzhen across the Pearl River Estuary in the east. It is located in the western part of the Pearl River Delta, on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary. The southern part is a low mountain and hilly area dominated by Wugui Mountain, and the northern part is a plain river network area. The main stream of the West River, the Modaomen Waterway, flows through the western edge, and the main stream of the North River, the Hongqili Waterway, runs diagonally across the northeastern border. The Municipal People’s Government is located at No. 1, Songyuan Road, Dongqu Street.
Zhongshan was formerly known as “Xiangshan” because of the many exotic flowers and plants in Wugui Mountain (it is also rich in “exotic flower fairy tea”). The “Taiping Huanyu Ji” of the Northern Song Dynasty recorded: “The land is full of fairy flowers, so it is called Xiangshan” [5]. Since modern times, celebrities such as Sun Yat-sen, the provisional president of the Republic of China and the father of the Republic of China, and Tang Shaoyi, the first prime minister, have emerged. In 1925 (April 15, the 14th year of the Republic of China), Xiangshan was renamed Zhongshan in memory of Sun Yat-sen who had just passed away. Zhongshan is a national historical and cultural city. The Xiangshan culture originated in Zhongshan is an important source of modern Chinese culture; Zhongshan is also one of the representative cities of Cantonese culture and one of the birthplaces of Cantonese cuisine. It enjoys the reputation of Guangdong Province’s hometown of folk art (Cantonese opera) and hometown of overseas Chinese. There are more than 800,000 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan living in 87 countries and regions on five continents in the world.
Zhongshan City is one of the nine prefecture-level cities in the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone. It is a city with an export-oriented economy and a combination of industry and agriculture.

Sanjiao Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China. It is located in the north-east of Zhongshan City, with a total area of 72.32 square kilometers. It is located in the center of the Pearl River Delta. The Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway runs through the town from north to south, with a large expressway entrance and exit; the provincial highway Nansan Highway crosses the town from east to west, connecting with the Fanzhong Highway and National Highway 105.
