I went exploring from the east exit of Yokohama Station in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, along the estuary of the Tamashigawa River to the sea. On this trip, you will experience the unique landscape of Yokohama’s city and nature. Please enjoy it as a virtual walk.
The Kagami River is a second-class river with a total length of approximately 17 km that flows through Yokohama City and flows into Yokohama Port. Its origin is located in Wakabadai, Asahi Ward, Yokohama City, and although it is near a residential area, there is a promenade rich in nature. Water parks such as Portside Park, with its characteristic grassy hills and wooden decks, and Takashima Waterside Park, are dotted along the river, providing places for visitors to relax.
In addition, the sea bus “Seabus” operates from the east exit of Yokohama Station, and you can travel around Yokohama Port from the mouth of the Tamashigawa River. Through these spots, you will be able to experience the diverse charms of Yokohama.
