The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway is invested and constructed by the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway Company under the Guangdong Railway Investment Group, and is the general contractor of the project, China Railway Design Group. The total length of the main line is about 401 kilometers. The line starts from Guangzhou Station and ends at Zhanjiang North Station. It is an important part of the country’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed railway network and the coastal railway passenger corridor with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It has now entered the sprint stage of construction.

Recently, the project department of Section 18 of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway Station that more than 1,000 construction workers are taking advantage of the fine weather to speed up the construction progress of Section 18 of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway Station Project.

At the site of the 18th section of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway Station, tower cranes are erected, transport vehicles are shuttling back and forth, and the roar of machinery is heard one after another. More than 1,000 front-line builders in work clothes and helmets are busy in different areas, each doing their own job. The construction process is in full swing, and the scene is in full swing.

It is understood that the 18th section of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway Station Project is located in Gaoming District, Foshan City and Xinxing County, Yunfu City, with a total length of 20.95 km. The line starts from Lutian Village, Genghe Town, Gaoming District, Foshan City in the east, passes through Rencun Town and Dongcheng Town in Xinxing County in the west, and ends near Taiping Town in Xinxing County, involving a total of 4 towns. The line passes through the Huilong River and Gongcheng River water resource protection areas in turn, and passes through Dongcheng Town to cross the Jiangluo Expressway and National Highway 359 respectively. The total cost is 1.237 billion yuan and is expected to be completed on November 30, 2025.

The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang high-speed railway runs from Guangzhou to Zhanjiang North Station via Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming and Zhanjiang. After the completion and opening of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang high-speed railway, it will be of great significance for the accelerated integration of emerging cities into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the promotion of high-quality development of the regional economy.

在广湛铁路站前十八标项目现场，塔吊高耸，运输车辆往来穿梭，机械轰鸣声此起彼伏。1000多名身着工装、头戴安全帽的一线建设者各司其职，在不同区域有条不紊地忙碌着，各项建设进程紧锣密鼓，一派热火朝天的景象。

施工方表示，目前，整个建设团队在保证工程质量的基础上，正全力以赴争分夺秒地推进各项工作，以确保广湛高铁站前十八标项目按照预定时间节点顺利完成建设。“标段的桥梁工程下部结构基本完成，正进行架梁阶段，隧道工程基本完成贯通，整体工程已完成70%。”中铁二局集团有限公司广湛铁路十八标有关负责人说。
