Can Poverty Excuse Lying and Scamming ? 🇳🇦 vA 153

I ride from Rehoboth to Kalkrand and to Mariental, in Namibia, in Africa.
On the endless emptiness of Southern Namibia, in the very remote town of Kalkrand, I find a very surprising fancy lodge serving delicious food.
Kalkrand is very poor and some local kids behave in a very strange way with me, as they pretend that the only cheap hotel is full, but I easily find out that it was a big lie… what were they up to with this lie?
Finally, the next day I ride to Mariental, where I stay in a lodge with friendly hosts, and as I tour Mariental on my trike, I meet a lot of very cheerful and friendly local folks.

    Those kids did not look like scammers at all. If you see a child with that reflector, it means they are there to help. Those kids were so so kind & respectful. I’m sure that manager said to the kids it’s full because of their appearance..

You don't feel anoyed to tell every day couple times the same story? "Where you come from, where you go and what are you riding?" 😅

    I don't think the kids lied,they just gave you the information the manager gave them, maybe he thought they were intruders. They were just trying to help.

    In Namibia 🇳🇦 they call Soda a cool drink 😂😂😅 but for me,for my Travel Experience plus my good understanding of the World COOL DRINK it's mean any drink that cool! Let teach you my Namibian people,,,Coca-Cola, Fanta,Sprite,and all other soft drinks are not cool drinks but SODA plz! @am Enos Martin Orlale from Henties Bay Town, Namibia
