Here is a Vlog of a mountain climb from Iyo Inari Shrine to Mt. Gongen in Iyo City, Ehime Prefecture. For me, visiting shrines and strolling in Satoyama are important times that give me peace of mind and the joy of discovery.
Filmed in early November 2024. Iyo Inari Shrine is the guardian deity of my parents’ family home, and I have often visited it since I was a child.
It is a comfortable season when the leaves start to change color and you can feel the signs of autumn. While walking along the Satoyama path, I listened to the rustling of the trees and the chirping of the birds, and felt a sense of unity with nature.
The shrine at the top of Mt. Gongen is a sacred place that enshrines Ishizuchi Daigongen. From here, you can see the cityscape of Iyo City and the coastline of the Seto Inland Sea, and you can encounter a special view that will make you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I had come this far on my Super-Cub about 15 years ago, so I roughly remembered the route from the shrine.
A luxurious time to refresh both body and mind by experiencing the history of the shrine and the rich nature of the Satoyama. I plan to continue visiting regularly, feeling the changing of the seasons and cherishing my own healing time.

【愛媛県 伊予市】神社巡り・里山散策 ～伊豫稲荷神社と権現山の秋～
愛媛県伊予市にある伊豫稲荷神社から権現山まで山登りしたVlogを紹介します。私にとって、神社巡りと里山散策は、心の安らぎと発見の喜びを与えてくれる大切な時間です。
2024年11月上旬の撮影。ここ伊豫稲荷神社は両親の実家の氏神様で、子供の頃からよくお参りしています。
紅葉も始まり秋の気配を感じられる心地よい季節。里山の小径を歩きながら、木々のざわめきや鳥のさえずりに耳を傾け、自然との一体感を味わえました。
権現山の頂上にある祠は石鎚大権現を祀る神聖な場所。ここからは伊予市の街並みや瀬戸内海の海岸線が一望でき、日々の喧騒を忘れさせてくれる特別な景色に出会えます。
15年程前、愛車のカブでここまで訪れたことがあったので、神社からの道のりはおおよそ覚えていました。
神社の持つ歴史と里山の豊かな自然に触れることで、心身ともにリフレッシュできる贅沢な時間。これからも定期的に訪れ、四季の移ろいを感じながら、自分だけの癒しの時間を大切にしていきたいと思います。
