Cleaning up Honshu
Today is a BIG day! I will be taking on 3 prefectures across the western side of Honshu, Japan’s main island. It is such a big day, in fact, that I had to break up all the fun into two parts, the morning and the afternoon. Join me for the morning part of this adventure beginning at sunrise in the city of Yonago on the west edge of Tottori prefecture. I will be taking you on a walk through the city and up to the ruins of Yonago castle before crossing into Shimane prefecture to tour the city of Yasugi. Here we will find all of the geocaches in town, tour the Wakou Museum, and attend a CITO (Cache in Trash Out) event at an ancient shrine. To finish off the morning’s adventure we will tour Matsue Castle, one of only 12 original surviving castles across Japan.
It is a day filled with finds, history, and scenic sites. Come join me on this tour geocaching through a couple of the prefectures on the western side of Honshu!
