The Most Beautiful Waterfall in Japan -Takachiho George ( 高千穂峡)

If you’re heading to the Takachiho Gorge, whether by bus or car, you’ll likely start from the Takachiho Bus Center just outside the town center. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the town center to the gorge.We took a nice stroll down the winding road to the gorge, passing through quiet streets.Once in the gorge, you’ll be amazed by the stunning surroundings. The gorge was formed around 90,000 years ago during the eruption of Mount Aso. The cooled pyroclastic flow created incredible columnar rock formations that look like organ pipes.

The calm blue-green Gokase River flows through the canyon, providing a striking contrast. Waterfalls cascade from the cliff’s edge, making it one of the most breathtaking views and memorable natural experiences in Japan.
