  2. Your husky voice adds a little extra! You and your team make great videos.

  3. Happy New Year, Shizuka! Though I'll assume this video was shot before January 1. Interesting colorful shellfish! Looks like scallops to me! Well, hope you're already better though I kind of like the voice.

  4. Happy New Year, I hope Shizzy had an amazing and I also hope her throat feels better soon

  5. I'm so pumped on artisans from all over using all parts of food sources!

This might have been addressed as by the husky voice preface, which was fine in my opinion.

Hopefully constructive criticism, but the audio levels seem to be peaking at some inflections for all mics compared to other Japan by Food videos

  6. #JapanByFood really brings their audience to unique and diverse experiences.
Shizuka's smoky voice ! But, hope she makes a full recovery !!

@10:51 That spinning bowl makes me want one even though I would be hard pressed to make use of it.

  7. As always a great Shizuka vlog
Someone keeps losing her voice though 🤔 Hope you find it soon

  8. Your voice. Are you OK? Despite your condition (that may be not so okay), you've made great contents. My bow of honor for such spirit and passion, Shizuka Sama 👍👍

  9. So I wonder if these were the inspiration for the Farscape episode where people switched bodies

  10. Loved the video! Thank you for doing it even though you were losing your voice. Goes to show what a great showman you are. Amazing video, great information, super educational and last but not least FUN! Take care!

  11. HI shizukasan

I have a store I would like to introduce to Shizuka.
It is a store that I would like foreigners living in Japan to know about.
It is a fish shop located in a place called Kyodo in Setagaya Ward. On weekends, nearly 30 people form a line even before it opens.
This is the new building of Uoshin.
    2-16-16 Miyasaka, Setagaya-ku
    1
Open from 14:00 to 16:00 on weekdays.
Closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, and national holidays.
Anyway, everything is fresh and delicious. We want foreigners to know about it, so please do interview us.

  12. Great vid/post as always; btw the stone architecture was not for typhoons…(IYKYK). A longtime viewer (now subscriber) to this channel; well done on this post.

  13. Happy New Year!

Wow, I would love to collect a few of those shells, put them in a frame to display. So many amazing colors!

  14. I like the low toned presentation in this video — calmer yet still with your natural enthusiasm — but I know that it must’ve been a strain for you to speak with a hoarse voice. Hope you get better soon.

  15. You got to Ainan but didn't do the pilgrimage! Some of the best meals I've had in my (long, long) life have been at pilgrim's inns. If you make it down to Shikoku again, let me show you around.
