Thank you for being here 🙂 In this video, I visited Uwajima-city in ehime prefecture, the 5th prefecture out of my travel through all the 47 prefectures in Japan 🇯🇵

Upon entering Uwajima, I faced recurring rickshaw troubles and had to revisit Soga-san in Sukumo City for repairs. After borrowing a replacement vehicle, I finally explored Uwajima, staying at the welcoming Dear U Uwajima run by Mr. and Mrs. Nishida. My first stop was Uwajima Castle, the city’s symbol. This Date family castle, within walking distance from the station, offered a pleasant climb through various trees. The small but beautiful castle, built by master constructor Todo Takatora, was a sight to behold. I also savored local specialties like tai-meshi and jako-ten at a restaurant near the castle, enjoyed dishes at an izakaya recommended by Mr. Nishida, and refreshed at a local public bath. It was a fulfilling day in Uwajima.
