“Awaiting sunset when the #AuroraBorealis is due can be the longest part of the day. I had driven all around the area that I was at in #Iceland, looking for foregrounds in the 4 major directions of North, East, South and West depending upon where the Aurora would reveal herself. This image was taken due North as the Aurora danced above and around me. I took out a small flashlight to illuminate the little island in the center of the composition in order to make it stand out on this moonless night.” – @sklooty
