こんにちは、Life in Shikoku です。約１年ぶりに、高知県 安芸郡北川村の「モネの庭」を訪れました。モネが夢見た「青い睡蓮」が見たくて、7月にしました。モネの庭は、３つの庭に分かれていて、まず「水の庭」へ。が、ここの池には、今日は青い睡蓮は咲いてないとのこと… 美しい風景は堪能しましたが、ちょっと残念。

でも、「ボルディゲラの庭」に咲いていると聞いて、そちらへ移動。咲いていました、青い睡蓮！熱帯性のため、気温の低いジヴェルニーでは咲かなかったそうです。納得して、最後の「花の庭」へ。途中、展望デッキの水の鉢にも、きれいな青い睡蓮が！間近で見れてよかった。花の庭で、夏の花と美しい風景を楽しみました。この景色を、一緒に楽しんで頂けたら嬉しいです。

Hello, this is Life in Shikoku. For the first time in about a year, we visited “Monet’s Garden” in Kitagawa Village, Aki-gun, Kochi Prefecture. Wanted to see the “Blue” Water Lily that Monet dreamed of, so we chose July. Monet’s Garden is divided into three gardens, and we went to the “Water Garden” first. But the staff said that there were no blue water lilies blooming in the pond here today… We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, but was a little disappointed.

When hearing that they were blooming in the “Garden of Brdighera”, we moved there. There they were, blue water lilies! Blue Water Lilies are tropical, so they did not bloom in Giverny where the temperature is cooler. Satisfied, moved to the last “Flower Garden”. On the way to the Flower Garden, we saw beautiful blue water lilies in water pots on the observation deck! It was nice to see them up close. At the Flower Garden, we enjoyed summer flowers and beautiful scenery. We would be happy if you could enjoy this scenery with us.
