One of the most popular weekend activities of Thai people is visiting floating markets which is why today we will be exploring a huge riverside market called Don Wai Floating Market – a place which is loved by locals and which is completely unknown to foreign tourists. It is located in less than 1 hour drive from Bangkok (in Nakhon Pathom province) and might be a perfect choise for those who want to spend a day away from busy Bangkok city, because here you can enjoy delicious Thai food and street food, scenic boat tour and peaceful views of the river, huge variety of desserts, fresh fruits and vegetables, and many more!

Kanom kuichay, ขนมกุยช่าย is influenced by Teochiu, แต้จิ๋ว or Chaozhou （潮州）immigrants. Hundreds years ago, Chaozhou suffered from poverty, locals lacked of rice supplies. Yam is created to be Yam flour in that times. Yam dough which stuff with chives became food and snack. Usually, Kanom kuichay, ขนมกุยชาย is in circle shape twisting on the center of thin circle dough.
