“Delicate Arch has been on my mind since I started photography. I’ve always found Arches, Yosemite, the Redwoods and #Yellowstone as bucket list items for myself. When my buddy invited me on their annual Moab trip I knew I had to go. After a few days of biking, I made it to #Arches during the evening for sunset. Unfortunately, it was blocked out by clouds and lightning so I knew I’d have to come back for the shot I wanted, Delicate Arch under the stars. The next night we woke up at 3 AM and made the journey to Arches. During the hike, we made a few wrong turns and ended up on the wrong side of the valley. After figuring out where to go we made it into the bowl. Having never been before I kept hiking up the bowl as my friend stopped to shoot. I was curious about where it was having not been able to find it. Next thing I knew I was standing at the base of the arch. What a sight to see. I made my way around the bowl taking a few test shots finding the #MilkyWay and lining the shot up that I wanted. Sunrise was beginning in the distance and timed the slow rising light with my shot to put a nice glow on the arch and background as the Milky Way shined through. A shot I will always be stoked I captured!” #MyCanonStory
