Why Coast Guard Named Ship After Me? Van Life in Severe Weather, Heavy Rain Storm Camping. #vanlife
Van Life secrets. Vanlife in severe weather, storms with heavy rain and some massive cloud formations. Join me on my Arctic full time van living travels. I camp in massive rain on the arctic ocean in my cozy luxury vanlife van. I start my drive through the arctic frontiers and show you some secret camp & other spots overlooking the border oceans. I am stoked to meet the massive Coast Guard ship that has been named after me. But why was it named after me? This is the strongest ship in the fleet. I am not really storm chasing, but the storms find me anyway #vanlife #vanliving #heavyrain #raincamping
My van is a Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in the USA and Canada but with a diesel engine and manual transmission.

Surviving my 2nd Winter of Extreme Van Life, Blizzard, Snow Storm Camping & Freezing Cold which includes:
This is my complete second winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in November I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from November to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learn as I go from my second winter in the van.
About me: I am a Norwegian adventurer and wilderness explorer. My youtube channel focus on outdoor wilderness adventures and exploration, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Nights spent in a tent, alone or with friends. From the snow covered mountains and misty fjords of Norway and Scandinavia to the remote plateaus of Yellowstone and the debts of the red canyons of Utah to the summit of Mt Whitney and the heart of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. I love the Wilderness! Email is under “For business inquiries”, for general questions please comment on a video, I try to answer everyone.

The arctic so so stark, so unpopulated, so stunning, so beautiful. It's like another world. Thank you for showing it to us. I am looking forward to your next videos.

Congratulations on having a Coast Guard ship named after you – what an amazing honor! Your van life adventures are always thrilling, and this one is no exception. You're a true explorer at heart, and your ability to navigate severe weather conditions is impressive. Love how you share your experiences and tips with us. Keep pushing boundaries and inspiring us to live life to the fullest!

I love your long videos! The scenery is so very beautiful! I watch and then I fall asleep! Thank you for sharing such wonderful videos!
I was feeling rather gloomy and despondent yesterday and then I received notification of your latest video. That certainly was a bright bright spot in my day. I do believe your videos are getting more amazing every time you post a new one. This one was so beautiful and so unusual.I mean who sees a reindeer on a beach in the Arctic every day? And I agree, you should have a Coast Guard ship named after you. Thanks for bringing some light to my life yesterday.
The content you put out there for all of us just gets better with each video, a tip of the hat to you sir .absolutely superb
Amazing waves, views and colours – thanks so much for showing us beautiful Norway – cheers from NZ
Hi, long time ago. I see all new video's, I was wondering if you ever was thinking about small fishing, you could done it on a lot of places, just some simple fishing, will be interesting, anyway regards and wish you nice trip😊
I enjoy all your videos, in the snow and the Van, nice to see you wearing an Australian brand shirt, Rip Curl.
Beautiful images again Jarl! Love those reindeer, they have funny big feet. Of course there is a coast guard ship named after you: always brave the storms and rain and discover new places! Exciting to see Russia in the distance. And the bunkers and guns from the Second World War will be part of the Atlantic Wall I think. Surreal atmosphere with those reindeer right on top! Stay safe
Beautiful video 😊
1:10; Really great closeup of Reindeer. I always like to see wildlife footage.
35:21; There it is, the Coast Guard ship named after you. Yes, I'm still wondering HOW/WHY that happened?
You are a RASCAL! Never did find out WHY?
Warm Regards from far away Reno, Nevada, U.S.A.
Another amazing video of an awesome place. Thanks and stay safe!
Every time you make your morning coffee, I screw my face up because I can't bear to see you pouring the boiling water into your coffee maker. I'm afraid that you're going to get distracted and end up pouring the boiling water over the hand that you hold your coffee maker to keep it steady. 🫣😁
Whoa – have I ever seen a full moon with the sun in the background (NO) that was an amazing shot as the fog rolled in over the ocean @ 37:45. 🌞🌝 Awesome !!
I agree with most comments here: amazing, spectacular video … Again.
Now that I know that Jarl also composes the music that supports the video, I find it even more expressive.
Truly one of my top YouTube channels (and I'm only subscribed to a few).
Such memorizing beauty! Love the tunes also. Calm and soothing to the soul. Thank you! 🌺
Wonderful music! Thanks for heads up where to find it.

Much love Jarl and stay safe out there!!!!! xoxox
Шикарное видео. Респект автору.
I just finished enjoying the 3-hr video and then this one. Your videos really relax my mind and are a therapeutic escape. When I think about the Arctic, I am amazed at the various hues of blue that the ocean water is all in one place. It is just gorgeous. I have learned so much from watching your videos. If you have time, I have a couple of questions. What is your language? Believe it or not, I am 77 yrs old and never knew there was such a thing as "the land of the midnight sun." It seems like all of the buildings look the same except for size. Are the large buildings multi-family or are those businesses? Thank you if you have time. If not, I understand. Thanks again for your videos. I was looking at your USA map of plans, and I found it interesting that it looks like a lot of your stops are around the Native American reservations, unless I'm not reading them right. Take care. I passed one of your delicious burrito recipes on to my sister who was delighted. She ran right out to the store to get the ingredients. She loves to cook.
❤❤❤
the colours, the surf, the reindeer, the hills….I look at the picture, with very appropriate background music, and I think dear heaven what is wrong with the rest of the world !! Such a shame such a beautiful place is surrounded by such turmoil. Thank you for a magic video.
