JAPAN HAS CHANGED | 10 New Things to Know Before Traveling to Japan 2024 | Travel Update August 2024

Japan is experiencing a surge in popularity among foreign tourists. In June 2024, the number of visitors reached 3.13 million, an 8.9% increase from the previous year, marking the fourth consecutive month with over 3 million visitors—a record high. This influx of tourists has brought various changes to Japan that you need to know about, both positive and negative, before you travel.
On the positive side, there are new discount services exclusively for foreign tourists and the widespread availability of real-time translation services, making your trip more affordable and convenient. However, there are also some downsides to be aware of, such as the potential end of the yen’s depreciation, the introduction of accommodation taxes around Mount Fuji, and the expansion of no-drinking zones on public streets.
In this video, I’ve compiled the top 10 updates you need to know. By watching, you’ll ensure your trip to Japan is smoother, more comfortable, and even more enjoyable. So stay tuned till the end!

  3. Hi Toshi, I heard about the news on Japan earthquake and possibility of a "megaquake" happening. Is it still safe to visit Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo region?

  4. Saya dari Indonesia.
Juli 2024 saya liburan ke jepang. Shibuya sangat tidak nyaman. Sangat penuh. Pusing.

  5. Much appreciated for the regular updates for visitors planning to come to Japan. Warm greetings from Singapore.

  6. Still got 55000円 from my last Trip to Kansai left. Went with 100.000円. No need to get that much with the exchange rate now (visiting in November 2024). Visited everything, ate good and bought a lot of souvenirs. Just avoid tourist traps and you are good to go.

  7. hello, i have plan go to japan at september mid to end, is it silver week? or is it good for travel? or better at early oct? thankyou

  8. Thank you for this kind of update. I did not get a Suica card when I visited in November. It's good to know it's now available.

  10. Thanks for clear concise instructions to enjoy Japan I can see you are passionate about your country and that is amazing!

  11. Thank you for this update. I have a Suica card from my past visit in 2017. I'm planning to visit japan in october 2024. Can i still use the card?

  17. Im glad that Japan is taking care of their land and don’t let tourists misbehave. It’s sad for those who act right but it’s necessary.
