For your Information, HSBC is almost the central bank of hk during the British rules here.
Welcome to Hong Kong !
Welcome to Hong Kong and enjoy your stay !
In most countries of the world, the issue of banknotes is handled exclusively by a single central bank or government. The arrangements in Hong Kong are unusual but not unique, as a comparable system is used in the United Kingdom where seven commercial banks other than the Bank of England (the central bank of the UK) issue banknotes (three in Scotland and four in Northern Ireland) and Macau where two banks issue banknotes.
Year of first issuance of currency notes:
1862: Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China (now Standard Chartered Bank)
1865: HSBC
1994: Bank of China
Brilliant, welcome to Hong Kong, stay long enjoy food and drinks here…😂🎉

Welcome to Hong Kong. There are many hiking trails in HK, even near the Peak.😊
HSBC, SCB & BOC are notes issuing banks in Hong Kong
Very in-depth

多謝你嚟香港 香港有好多美食 祝你旅途愉快
🙂
Great video🎉 The Central Market was a fresh market many years ago but it has been renovated and modernised to match with the business buildings surrounding it.
Enjoy HK🎉

Enjoying ur videos 😀
Oh, it is happy to see my working place on Youtube. Sadly HSBC building doesn't allow upper area for tourists.
The St John s Cathedral is the only freehold land in hong kong.
Welcome to HK! If you have time, go visit the countryside or some of the outlying islands. We have a lot of beautiful and well-maintained hiking trails out there. Hope you enjoy your stay here … Safe travels and thank you for visiting our beautiful city. ❤
Central market was indeed originally a "wet market" where fresh produce was sold. As the area around it commercialized it was turned into a shopping arcade and eventually it was slated to be rebuilt. Years of delay coincided with a culture of historical preservation growing in Hong Kong, and eventually the decision was made to "revitalize" the building instead, leading to its preservation and refurbishment into the trendy market you see today.
Welcome to Hong Kong! Hope you're enjoying the city 😀
I'm Hong Konger and didn't know about the meanings of open and closed mouths of Stephen and Stitt of the Lion cuz there's urban legend ever since learnt from child, thank you for telling the truth. For fresh food market, there just one step over from Western Market that you may get into see the operating market instead of shopping mall of heritages~~
17:17 The most expensive villas are about 180+ million pounds, many celebrities live there, like Jackie Chan.
I would recommend to go to the peak at night time and trust me the night view is absolutely unbelievable
i would recommend you to go visit the avenue of stars/west kowloon cultural district in kowloon!! great video btw!!
the currency that you mentioned is HK$ ,not US$, 1 US = HK$ 7.78 , just like $3 for Hong Kong island tram, which is US$0.38 ; HK has no central bank so it is used the issuing banks (which are HSBC, Standard Chartered and Bank of China) as the signature of HK bank notes.
Hiking trails are the best route when you go hiking. Beautiful landscape and safe hiking trails throughout the whole HK.
8:55 Hong Kong taxi's are red and green. The Uber's are white.

the british was here for nearly 150years specially the place you standing was the very first place where we developed in HK. It is one of the 4 districts in Victory city.
the 2 markets were actual markets back in centuries ago. Western market was located on the seashore back in the time but the shoreline has been extended
Central market is the oldest wet market in HK side. HK GOV kept the building and renovated as a mall
