This is a longer version combining several videos that have already been posted: a day in Tokyo in July 2024, walking from Ueno Park to Kinshicho Station via Iriya Station, Asakusa, and Tokyo Sky Tree. Ueno Park, the starting point, is a cultural center with art galleries and museums. The lush green environment will make you forget the summer heat. In the area around Iriya Station, the next stop, you can enjoy the Iriya Morning Glory Festival in early July. This traditional event, which has been held since the Edo period, decorates the town with colorful morning glories. On your way to Asakusa, you may encounter the Shitamachi Tanabata Festival. This elegant festival is a place where you can feel the warmth of the local people. At Sensoji Temple, you can enjoy the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) and Nakamise-dori (Nakamise Street), which still retain the atmosphere of Edo period (1603-1868). This is a popular spot where you can experience traditional Japanese culture firsthand. On your way to Tokyo Sky Tree, stop by Tokyo Mizumachi, which opened in 2020. This new commercial facility along the Sumida River allows visitors to enjoy the open atmosphere of the riverside. Finally, head to Kinshicho Station via the Oyokogawa River Water Park. This park is a waterfront promenade that has been restored from a former canal and has become an urban oasis.
