Magoji Temple, the second temple of the Hokuriku Sanjusankasho Kannon Sacred Site, is said to have been built by Prince Shotoku, and its principal image, a seated wooden statue of the Horse-headed Kannon, is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. The main statue of the seated wooden Horse-headed Kannon is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. There are many sights to see at the temple, such as the fan stone in front of the temple office after passing through the gate, which is said to bring good luck if stepped on, and several hundred stone Buddhas on the right side of the main hall.
北陸三十三ヶ所観音霊場第2番の馬居寺は、聖徳太子が建立したと伝えられており、本尊の木造馬頭観音坐像は国指定重要文化財に指定されています。山門をくぐった寺務所の前に、踏むと縁起が良いといわれる扇石や、本堂右手の数百体の石仏など見どころも多く、また桜・紅葉、風情ある参道の景観も人気の寺です。
