【English subtitles】ウブドの王道+超穴場観光地5選(Good out-of-the-way places in Ubud, Bali.)

In this video, I introduce classic tourist spots and places a little-known but good in Ubud, Bali. First of all, The Swing that we don’t need wait in line. The second, The world Heritage that we can enter for only 1.6US dollars. The third, The Big Farms that we can see civet and can also do tee and cofee tasting for free. The forth, The Restaurant taht we can eat local cuisine in rural. The final, The Water Falls that we can take some pics without worrying adout other people’s eyes. The first visited place is "UMA CEKING". It takes about 20 minutes from downtown of Ubud to here by car. We can enjoy some activities such as swing and zip lines in this rice terrace. Admission fee is 200,000 Rupiah including the price of the swing. Chartered taxi driver come with us to this rice terrace, but we don’t need to pay admission fee of the driver. We had plan to go to most popular swing -Bali Swing in this morning , but the driver taught us that Bali Swing is very crowded and you have to wait for long time to get on swing… so, you should go to Uma Ceking instead of Bali Swing. You can rent dress for swings here. and we can get numbered ticket for swings here. There are so many photo spots in this rice terrace. We can see the swing in front of us. If you pass your smartphone to staff, the staff take some pics on your smartphone. If your smartphone is Android, please tell the staff how to take pics on your device. We waited for 15 minutes. Swing price of Uma Ceking is about as same as swing price of other’s place. The next is The Word Heritage that we can visit for only 1.6 US dollars–Tegallalang Rice Terrace. It takes about 3 minutes from Uma Ceking to the next spot by walk. There are so many coffe shops and restaurants , souvenir shop along this street. 3 minutes later. We just arrived in Tegallalang Rice Terrace. Admission fee of Tegallalang Rice Terrace is 25,000 Rupiah. Tegallalang Rice Terrace known as Stairway of God is the most popular Bali sightseeing spots for foreigers. The Rice Terrace in Bali is quite steep. It’s hard walking up. The fine day is so hot, so please don’t forget to bring cap and suncreen. Next place I visited is Uma Pakel. You can taste a lot of varieties of coffee and tea for free in this farm. And also you can see civets here. It takes about 5 minutes from Tegallalang Rice Terrace to here by car. You don’t need to pay the entrance fee. The purpose of coming here is to drink kopi luwak. Kopi luwak is high grade coffee. The production process of Kopi Luwak begins with a small animal known as a luwak (also referred to as a civet) eating coffee cherries. The civet selectively eats the ripe coffee cherries. After the civet consumes the coffee cherries, the fleshy part is digested, but the coffee beans (seeds) are excreted undigested. During this process, the coffee beans undergo fermentation due to the action of the civet’s stomach acids and enzymes. This fermentation process is believed to create the unique flavor profile of Kopi Luwak. The coffee beans excreted by the civet are then collected by farmers. This task is performed manually, picking the beans directly from the ground or, in some cases, from the civets feces. The collected coffee beans are thoroughly washed. At this stage, the beans are cleaned of impurities by washing them with water. After being washed, the coffee beans are either left to dry naturally or are machine-dried. Once the beans are sufficiently dried, the outer skin becomes easier to remove. After drying, the coffee beans undergo further processing to remove the outer skin. This step reveals the final green coffee beans. The green coffee beans are roasted before use. The degree of roasting (light, medium, dark) significantly affects the flavor of the coffee. We can drink kopi luwak at a low price in this farm Before drinking kopi luwak, the staff guide us around this farm. This farm is very spacious. And a variety of plants and tea leaves are being cultivated. We can drink a variety of sample teas grown on this farm for free. Lemongrass and pineapple are also cultivated on this farm. This is the red ginger. This is what the tasting looks like. We can taste coffee and tea while looking at the outdoor scenery. The ten types on the right are the tea and coffee tasting set. These are free. The left side is kopi luwaku. At this farm , you can drink kopi luwak for 65,000 Rupiah. You can purchase kopi luwak , other coffees and teas at the shop. I purchased spiced tea made with ginger and avocado coffee here. The next place we visited is Bebek Joni Restaurant. It takes 20 minutes by car from the Uma Pakel. I am getting hungry. The driver recommended this restaurant to us. This restaurant is so spacious that you might think it’s some kind of theme park, And in front of you, a pastoral landscape is so beautiful. You can feel comfortable breeze. "Bebek" in the name of this restaurant means "duck". It’s a restaurant that specializes in duck dishes. This restaurant also has such private booths. It seems that so many tourists in groups are in this restaurant. The staff guided us to a seat with a nice view. Here are the dishes I ordered at this reataurant. Chicken Cordon Bleu — 105,000 Rupiah. Roast Chicken — 125,000 Rupiah. Fried Banana — 74.000 Rupiah. The last place I visited was Abangan Waterfall. It takes 20 minutes from Bebek Joni Reataurant to here by car. Ubud has many waterfalls, this waterfall is the unexplored spot recommemded by driver. To get to the waterfall, we first enter througt a rice field path next to a private house. There is a waterfall reception at the entrance of that private house。 The admission fee is 20,000 Rupiah. Probably, the people living in this house manage the waterfall. The waterfall is a little far from here, so we have to walk for a few minutes. Originally, we planed to go to The Kanto Lampo Waterfall — the most famous waterfall in Ubud, but we couldn’t go to there because there was no water in the waterfall due to water being diverted to the rice fields. So, we quickly changed our plan and came to this waterfall instead. We can enjoy our walk with suprise like encountering cows and finding carps in the artificial pond along the way to the waterfall. Since the Google reviews are in the 2 digits, I think the waterfall is not very well-known. I didn’t know how much longer it would take to arrive at the waterfall, but that concerns excited us. 2 minutes later. The surrounding scenery changed from pastoral landscapes to steep downhill. 3 minutes later. As we go down, the path becames narrower and turns into a muddy trail. 3 minutes later. We arrived at The Abangan Waterfall in about 10 minutes. This is The Abangan Waterfall. The Abangan Waterfall wasn’t very large, but there were no other tourists except for these two people, so we could take pictures without worrying about waiting for others. We fully enjoyed the wonderful nature. We arrived at the hotel we will be staying tonight at 5 p.m. Finally, here’s a summary of this video. The Ubud in Bali is a place where you can enjoy the lush natural environment to the fullest. The mystical temples, beautiful rice terraces, and artistic street will surely soothe you. Additionally, affordable and testy local food can make you feel very happy. If you are planning a trip to Bali, why don’t you consider visiting Ubud to enjoy great nature here.
