Wondershare Filmoraで作成。2024/05/04撮影、GWの最中出向いて参りました。美ヶ原 日本百名山の王ヶ頭へは東側からのアプローチ、ビーナスラインから山本小屋付近の長和町営駐車場に車を置き美しの塔経由、3kmの道程で幾度か訪問しておりました。頂上より周囲を見渡すと、北側の尾根伝いで、直接王ヶ頭にアプローチするする道路が見えます。これが今回収録した美ヶ原高原道路、県道62号です。山に詳しい方以外は馴染みのない道路だと思いますが、遠目に眺めても周囲のパノラマを楽しめそうな道路でした。着工当時は、ビーナスラインと結ばれる予定でもあったようですが頂上付近、美ヶ原牧場周辺の環境破壊につながるとして未通となっています。
この道路へのアクセスは、松本市内の美ヶ原温泉、浅間温泉、国道254号 三才山から他、幾つかのルートが有ります。県道62号上田市武石からのルートは現在土砂崩れで当面通行止めとなっており、全て美鈴湖を経由してそこからは美ヶ原スカイラインの一択となります。美鈴湖からは通しで約45分の道程ですが、はじめの美ヶ原スカイラインはひたすら山を急勾配で登る区間です。武石峠からの県道62号でようやく周囲の風景を楽しむ事が出来るのですが、実際来てみると以前TVコマーシャルで幾度も目にした素敵なロケーションでした。開通当初は有料道路で、距離の割にかなり高額な通行料だったと記憶しております。美ヶ原はビーナスラインが表ルートですが、王ヶ頭まではこちらからアクセスすると（美しの塔経由では有りませんが）2km足らずで到達できます。途中に有る思い出の丘は、北アルプスを一望出来る絶景ポイントです。拙い動画撮りですが、早春の美ヶ原高原の爽快感を共有出来れば幸いです。
