🇫🇷ParisのHermès本店でこの旅2度目のレザー予約+ショッピング🛍️オリンピック前のParisを満喫

Hello everyone. In the previous video, we stayed in the Yvelines region where the Palace of Versailles is located and then we went to the Palace of Versailles. This video is a continuation of that. We have arrived at the hotel in Paris where we will be staying for the last three days of this trip. I think David just gave us a room tour and I am very happy! The best part is, take a look! The Louvre Museum is right there! The Louvre Museum is right there! Our favorite Jardin des Tuileries is just around the corner, and metro line 1 is just around the corner. The location is great, and this balcony is so great that I don’t even want to leave the hotel. I’m so satisfied. Tomorrow we’re going to the Louvre for the second time, and the Louvre is just around the corner. David! What a wonderful room and view! And it’s in the heart of Paris! Before coming to Paris this time, I learned a little about Hausmann architecture, which is used in buildings like this that are often seen in Paris. At the behest of Napoleon III, Baron Georges Hausmann, governor of the Seine at the time, undertook a large-scale urban remodeling of Paris. In this large-scale urban remodeling, Hausmann architecture was adopted to make the city of Paris sanitary and beautiful. I am very impressed that I am able to stay in a building designed by Hausmann. It’s a really nice design and we can see everything around us here. From our balcony we can see the Louvre and the Montparnasse Tower. You can see it from here. The best. Honestly, this is my most favorite hotel I’ve stayed at in Paris so far. I’m glad we are staying at this hotel for the longest time on this trip. Oh yeah. I was really looking forward to coming to this hotel. Let’s continue the room tour here! Here we go. The other thing that impressed me was the Hermès scarfs! I got excited when I saw the scarves displayed on the walls. This was my first time staying at a hotel where so many Hermès scarves were displayed on the walls, and I was very impressed! This view is from this balcony. What you can see… the whole street, and our other balcony as well. We have the great experience of seeing the scenery of Paris from above. It’s truly luxurious. The shopping street is right there, so you can leave your baggage at the hotel right after shopping. The location is really great. What is the name of that street? Rue Saint-Honoré Rue Saint-Honoré is right next door, so you can do a lot of shopping! If I flip the camera around… you will see Rue de Rivoli, one of the most famous streets in Paris. We are very satisfied with this hotel. It’s wonderful to end this trip at this hotel. I highly recommend it. I forgot to mention that most European hotels have a bath and toilet in the same room. This room has separate bath and toilet. Is it to ensure individual privacy and maintain a happy married life? Yes, it’s really important. I think it makes sense that Japanese toilets and baths are built separately. When I go to Europe or America, I don’t like that they are built together. What do you think David? If I were to design a house, I’d like to have separate toilet rooms. Thank you. I’ve been coming to Paris for the past two years, and it’s quite convenient to stay in this area, so I recommend this hotel. I would like to show you the hotel breakfast tomorrow. And having a steamer in your room is very helpful. Now, we’re heading to the showroom of a leather brand from Paris. We are now in front of the showroom of a leather jacket brand from Paris called, Nour Hammour. I saw this leather jacket brand on social media and was curious about it. It’s a reservation system, and if you make an appointment in advance, you can come see it. We’re going in now! We are now inside the Nour Harmon showroom. I’m going to try on some jackets that caught my eye now. Before that, the showroom here is really nice. We just came back from the Palace of Versailles, and wow! This looks like the Palace of Versailles to me! Isn’t it amazing? It’s light. It’s very light, isn’t it? I like the length. This brand ships all over the world, and once ordered, it will arrive within 10 days. Shipping is included and returns are possible. We arrived in time for the champagne flash at the Eiffel Tower at 9am. We’re doing some night photos here. I brought a light! Where is the Eiffel Tower? There she is. We’re here to watch the champagne flash after dinner. It’s really beautiful and exciting no matter how many times I see it. Ah, it’s finished! It was over! Before I knew it, it was over. Good morning. I’m looking at the view of Paris from the terrace of our hotel room. I can see the Louvre Museum right there, and today we’re going to go to the Louvre Museum for the first time in two years. Last time, we spent about two hours looking at artworks such as Niké of Samothrace, Mona Lisa, Napoleon’s Coronation, and Venus de Milo. Today we would like to focus on the parts that we couldn’t see last time. It’s already been two years since we visited the Louvre. I am really looking forward to visiting the Louvre again. The building, previously used as a palace, is beautiful. Being able to see world-famous works up close is very valuable. Is there anything you would like to see again? Or do you mainly want to see works that you haven’t seen yet today? Yes, Egyptian and Greek sculptures. OK! It’s already past the reservation time. This terrace is too nice. It looks like we’ll be late again. I hope it will be ok. We better go now. Let’s go! Here we go. Normally, when you go to the Louvre Museum, you might enter through the main entrance where the Pyramid is located, but there are a lot of people lining up at that entrance first thing in the morning, so today I decided to try to enter from the Passage Richelieu entrance on Rue de Rivoli. The weather is nice in Paris today. The first half of this trip was cold, cloudy, and rainy a lot of the time, but in the second half, the sun is out and the weather in Paris has become more comfortable. Someone left his cell phone at the hotel, so I’m waiting downstairs. Ah, here he comes! I found it! You found it? No. You left it there, didn’t you? It’s not a lost item. Well, let’s go! The entrance to Passage Richelieu of the Louvre Museum is located all the way down Rue de Rivoli, right next to the exit of Palais-Royal-Muse des Louves Metro station line 1. This one is just as crowded as the main entrance. This place is also quite crowded. Rue Saint-Honoré is one block away from our hotel, so I’m thinking of doing some shopping now! What happened? I bought it! Since the store wasn’t that crowded today, We asked, “Are there any leather appointment cancellations?” He said to come back after lunch. I waited for a while near the leather desk until it was empty, then I went to ask. Finally, a hello from the people at Leather Desk. Even though I was talking to the SA, a female customer suddenly stepped in front of me. The person at the leather desk instead only wanted to talk to me. I said, “We only have one day left in Paris, do you have any availability for leather reservations?” He told me to come back after lunch. I then told him that I would come back to the store after his lunch. We had an interesting encounter. GUCCI’s SA was friendly and he was great. He seemed like a friendly guy. He seemed interested in us. He asked us some tips for having fun in LA, which we’re still trying to figure out. LOL So we’re back at the hotel now, I did quite a bit of shopping this morning. I noticed the Hermès flagship store wasn’t very crowded today. But there were a lot of people waiting. I think everyone had some form of appointment in advance. After doing some shopping, we went downstairs and the leather desk wasn’t too crowded, so we asked if there were any availability for leather appointments. They asked us to come back after lunch. Then they asked what I was looking for, and I said I’m interested in a Kelly. I thought he was going to say, “No Kelly.” but he said, “Okay.” Granted, I wasn’t immediately locked out there. When you dropped the “K-bomb”, he didn’t seem to object, he just said he understood. They asked us to come back again after lunch, after lunch everyone is full and happy. There are times when you can get a walk-in appointment. That’s difficult though. Either you be immediately rejected or you will be asked to come back later. But this time it’s rare. In most cases (99% of the time), you will be asked to keep trying the lottery. I was a little surprised. Cheers! What is the current update? We’re waiting now. When we arrived at the store, it was very crowded, but it seems to have calmed down a little now. There was a wave of people, but now there is less. We keep seeing some familiar SA faces. We come here a lot too. They just put her name in the leather appointment queue. We’ve been waiting for about 30 minutes now. It’s ok, it’s comfortable. LOL This is the bag I was offered this time. We just entered the Louvre Museum. The Louvre has three gates, and the works are divided into three routes: the Denon wing, the Sully wing, and the Richelieu wing. Last time we mainly looked at the Denon wing, so today we will start from the Richelieu wing. Well then, let’s go! We just entered the Louvre Museum and first came to the Marly courtyard. The last few trips I’ve peeked into the Marly courtyard from above, but now let’s take a look inside. The Marly Courtyard displays the sculptures that adorned the gardens of the Palace of Marly, which was built as a residence for King Louis XIV of France. Unfortunately, the Marly Palace no longer exists. So this is a very valuable collection of sculptures that were once there. This is the "Horse of the Palace of Marly" created by the sculptor Guillaume Cousteau. After being displayed in the garden, it was placed in the Place de la Concorde, but it was damaged during the military parade on Bastille Day. Since then, it is now housed in the Louvre Museum. Hello. I’ve got all my cameras ready! It’s not that crowded today. We will start with the marble sculptures and later move on to ancient Egypt. Let’s go! Beautiful. The large courtyard is covered with a glass roof, creating a space that feels as if you are outdoors even though it is indoors. Across the hallway from Marly’s courtyard is Puget’s courtyard, which has a different atmosphere. Since we’re currently in the Richelieu Wing, I thought we’d go and see Napoleon III’s apartment, but I was told that it was currently being renovated and is closed. This has been happening to us often recently. I guess it can’t be helped because the Olympics are coming up? Since we went to the Palace of Versailles recently, I would like to continue on to the Gallery of Apollo. You are now directly opposite Apollo’s gallery. But it’s okay. Apollo’s gallery is directly opposite the Denon wing, so Apollo’s gallery is here. We are here now. Go up and keep going straight. You go up the escalator, go to the left, and go straight forever, right? When you see this room, go to the right. This is Apollo’s Gallery, located in the exhibition room on the second floor of the Denon wing, and was built by order of Louis XIV. It was built by Charles Le Brun, the man who designed the interior of the Palace of Versailles, so when you think about it, it has an atmosphere similar to the Palace of Versailles. This is the crown that Louis XV used during his coronation ceremony, and this diamond in the crown is said to be 140 carats. These are the earrings that Empress Josephine wore at Napoleon’s coronation. The painting in the center is Apollo by Delacroix. It’s very impressive. The Louvre opened as an art museum in 1793 and was a palace for the French royal family before it became an art museum. Before it was used as a palace for the French royal family, it was a fortress to protect Paris. The castle walls from that time remain in the basement of the Sully wing of the Louvre. At that time, brick makers were paid on a commission system, and they were paid by putting their own signatures on the bricks that indicated that they had done the work. There are a lot of hearts around here! We also saw some numbers and squares. We are now walking through the moat where the Louvre was once a fortress. I wonder if they kept a guard alligator here? It feels kind of spooky here too. lol . Yes it does. This Sphinx is 4,600 years old and was discovered in the Egyptian city of Tanis. It is said to be the largest Sphinx in Europe. If you watched our Egypt video 5, you probably know that when we visited the Archaeological Museum in Cairo, we stopped by the "Tanis" exhibition room. This Sphinx was discovered in Tanis. Same as in “Indiana Jones, The Lost Ark” and this is the largest granite Sphinx in Europe. Having previously visited Egypt, we decided to visit the Ancient Egyptian section of the Louvre this time. Ah, that couple! Let’s go this way! We see our neighbors from the hotel. There it is! It’s very popular. This is the Code of Hammurabi that I really wanted to see from the ancient Orient area. The Code of Hammurabi was established by King Hammurabi, who ruled Babylonia before 1700 BC, and is said to be the oldest recorded code in human history. They established laws and incorporated them in people’s lives at a time when there was no custom of living under laws. It consists of 282 articles and covers a wide range of law and order, including criminal law, which is famous for “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,” family law, property law, and commercial law. Now we are at the Code of Hammurabi. Speaking of the Code of Hammurabi, you may have heard the phrase “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”, but the original meaning is not an inciting statement that tells you to get back at someone who hurt you, but rather to say that if you feel bad, it’s just as bad for them. It is said that it was written as a deterrent to take revenge. I studied it in junior high in a textbook. It is nostalgic. This is the famous painting “The Coronation of Napoleon” was also exhibited at the Palace of Versailles, but since we went to Versailles on this trip, we wanted to see the original work here at the Louvre before leaving the museum. We went to the Louvre Museum for the first time in two years. This time, we saw everything we wanted to see, but it was very crowded. There were a lot of school trips and student tours. So it was crowded. Besides that, there were a lot of people on guided tours. We visited the Louvre two years ago, if you haven’t seen the video yet, please check it out in the description below. We tried to come on a Wednesday, the day after the Louvre is closed, but there were too many people here. We gave up and came back the next day. I think it’s best to avoid Wednesdays, the day after the Louvre is closed if you can. It might not be a good idea to come here in the afternoon too. The number of people suddenly increased around 11 am. The Louvre Museum has a huge collection, so you will walk a lot around the museum. That was the furthest we’ve walked here. Last time we mainly looked at famous paintings, but this time we looked at historically famous sculptures. However, we did stop by for the Coronation of Napoleon and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. We really wanted to see the original again. Thank you for watching this video so far. If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet, please do so. We would be very happy if you could support us a “Like” and comments. Much appreciated! Thank you for watching. I hope everyone has a nice day. Bye bye!

I loved that you had a plan ( with a different entrance) to the Louvre, unfortunately like us we found everything is soooo busy with tourists. That didn't stop us from enjoying all Paris had to offer. Loved the places you went and the camera angles as always are spectacular. Great video yet again guys!
