【4K】Early Evening Walk in Japanese City – Uwajima, Ehime

I took this video on Monday, November 27, 2023.

This city, Uwajima, is in the southwestern part of Ehime Prefecture, Japan.
From the road on the mountain that leads into the city center, we can see beautiful scenery of aquaculture rafts neatly lined up on the sea.
Uwajima Castle stands on the hill in the center of the town, retaining the appearance it had about 350 years ago.
And this castle is the symbol of Uwajima.
In addition, the Japanese garden “Tensha-en”, which was created by the feudal lord, also remains.
This garden is characterized by many kinds of bamboo and wisteria planted, and the white and purple wisteria flowers add color to the calm atmosphere created by the bamboo.

  1. Thank you so much for your sharing such a beautiful video. I felt your warmth and love for Uwajima-city. Although it is far from Matsuyama City, it is an independent city and ever had the population of over 100,000. That is why it’s been one of the city which fascinated me beofore I visited for the first time. Actually I visited Uwajima several times by driving my car from Kansai district and sometimes stopping by train of Yodo line on the way from Kochi-pref. Of course, Uwajima Castle is wonderful, but the mountains are so close to the sea bay, and you can feel the breath of the citizens living in a small area. I can see that you love the Japanese countryside through your other Shikoku videos. Thanks again for your uploading. I enjoyed watching them so much.

  2. Lived in Uwajima thru 1944-1956, now living in Tokyo. I'm almost crying seeing your video. Uwajima is my capital.

  3. glad to see, this is my hometown, where's really countryside lol, thank you so much.
