A trip to Kochi |Spring in Kochi|Cherry blossom |Kochi Castle |Japanese festival |JAPAN TRAVEL VLOG
Hello from Itami Airport! I’m going to get on a plane now and go to ”Kochi” This trip is scheduled for 1 night and 2 days. You can get to Kochi from Itami Airport in about 45 minutes by plane. I wasn’t bored at all as I was looking at the beautiful Shikoku Mountains from the airplane window. I arrived in the sky above Kochi. What a beautiful sea! Kochi Ryoma Airport I’m going to rent a car and head to "Sakawa" now. You can go from Kochi Airport to "Sakawa" in about 50 minutes by car. You can enjoy the scenic Japanese countryside from the car window. I wonder why I feel nostalgic somehow 🙂 I will have lunch at “Udon Warashi” “Warashi” is an udon restaurant located in an old folk house. The tasteful interior of the restaurant is wonderful because you can feel the Japanese atmosphere! I ordered tempura udon(750 yen) The udon noodles are delicious and have a good dashi soup! Yum! Since I’m full, I’m going to take a walk through the streets of Sakawa. You can see the beautiful traditional Japanese townscape here KIRINKAN This shop has stylish pottery and lamps. When you go up the stairs inside the store, you will find a nice Japanese-style room. There aren’t many tourists in ”Sakawa”, so you can take your time taking photos and enjoying a walk. I think this is a little-known spot where you can relax and feel the essence of Japan! What do you think this is? This is said to be a talisman! This is the ”Hamaguchi family residence” This is a cafe, where you can enjoy sweets in a tasteful Japanese house. I was a little hot so I drank a yuzu juice float! The scenic Japanese garden is calming : ) When I was driving after leaving Sagawa, I found a place with beautiful cherry blossoms! How beautiful! When I see cherry blossoms, I can feel that spring has come. Good evening~! I’m going to Kochi Castle I have arrived Kochi Castle is holding a flower festival today! The flower arrangement is lit up, making it look even more beautiful 🙂 There was also a powerful Japanese drum performance! I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms at night and was very satisfied. I go up the stairs and aim for the castle How mysterious! The gentle light of the lanterns soothes my fatigue. I arrived at the castle Unfortunately, the tour of the castle tower had ended, so I will enjoy the cherry blossoms at nigh Kochi Castle is a very beautiful place filled with the charm of Japan! good morning Today is the last day of my trip 🙁 I’m going to wander around the center of Kochi until it’s time for my flight. I found the shrine Let’s go This location is ”Yamauchi Shrine” It is said that the successive feudal lords of Kochi are enshrined here. This is a very historic shrine. This shrine is surrounded by nature and is very quiet, so it gives you a solemn feeling. I walked to “Obiyamachi” ”Obiyamachi ”is a shopping district lined with a variety of shops selling clothes, food, souvenirs, etc. It’s also a shopping street where locals go on a daily basis, so it’s also a place where you can feel the real Japan ”Hirome market” You can enjoy Kochi cuisine and local sake here. Inside this market, there are desks where you can eat, and you can buy food at your favorite shop and eat it at an empty desk. It’s a place where many locals and tourists gather to enjoy a lively meal, so if you want to enjoy socializing with others, please give it a try:) I went in the morning, so many shops were closed:( It gets very lively at night, so we recommend going at night! I was able to buy some souvenirs, so I will go to the airport. I fell in love with Kochi because of its beautiful nature and historical charm 🙂 Next time, I would like to come to Kochi for a longer time!
Hi everyone!
One spring day, I traveled to Kochi for two days and one night.
Kochi Prefecture is located in the southern part of Shikoku on the Pacific Ocean side of Japan.
You can get to Kochi by plane in 45 minutes from Osaka and 1 hour 20 minutes from Tokyo!
I went to Sakawa, which has a traditional Japanese townscape, and Kochi Castle, which has a long history.
”Sakawa” is not yet well known by tourists and there are not many people, so I think it is a little-known spot where you can take a leisurely stroll and take photos!
The day I visited Kochi Castle, there was a flower festival, so I was able to enjoy the beautiful Japanese culture and the cherry blossoms at night :)
Thank you for watching!
