Hi! I’m Ran, living in Tokyo from Taiwan. This year, during Japan’s Golden Week, I returned to K’s family home in Osaka. Today’s video is the second part of our family trip. We are heading to Wakayama, located in the southernmost part of Kansai. We’ll be spending two days and one night at the famous hot spring resort Shirahama. If you’re interested in Kansai travel, please watch until the end! This time, we’re taking K’s father’s 30-year-old car. And it’s a manual transmission! Gotta be careful not to stall. Kagerou by Fukurin, a famous confectionery from Kishu. It’s one of Wakayama’s well-known souvenirs. This shop is directly operated by Fukurin Kagerou, and it opens early in the morning as a café. First, let’s order breakfast. This meat is so thick! Looks delicious. A big bite!? Like a dinosaur. After breakfast, it’s time for the must-try dessert here. Which one should I choose? I’ll have this one! So fluffy. It’s similar to the traditional pastries at Taiwanese bakeries. The texture is identical. Oh, really!? Give me some more! Getting addicted. I want more! Feels like we’re in a different world. Feels like there could be dinosaurs around. Like you might find dinosaur fossils. This place has been eroded by the sea waves over many years. Creating this unique rock step landscape. The majestic view is truly breathtaking. Even though it’s also a coastal erosion landscape, it’s completely different from the Izu we visited before. It’s amazing. Japan may be small, but it has very diverse landscapes. The scenery has changed again. The colors are different too! Very artistic. Besides the tatami-like shapes, there are also marble patterns. These mysterious patterns formed by weathering are beautiful. A two-year-old’s first encounter with rocks. Made it! Piece of cake! Give me five. Spider!! Whoa, really! That scared me. Let’s end with a group photo. Sandanbeki is famous for its 2km length and 60m high cliffs. There is a sea cave 36m below Sandanbeki. There is a sea cave 36 meters below Sandanbeki. Now there’s an elevator that takes you into the cave for a tour. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk around, or as quick as 5 minutes. It’s hot water! Feels like a scene from Indiana Jones. Lovers’ Sanctuary. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, let’s go for lunch. This is a café that offers specialty curry. The interior has a nostalgic atmosphere, very charming. Delicious! They even serve hot lemon soda here. It’s full of lemon pulp. So unique and tasty. Yeah, it’s really special. So much ingredients. Looks delicious. This is a seafood market run by the local fishing cooperative. They sell fresh seafood and Wakayama specialties. I want to put this directly on my rice. Aquarium. Why is the skinny fish always following the big fish? kobun. What does kobun mean? Yakuza underling. Its eyes are huge. Yeah, just like yours, Ran. Hey, I’m a luxury item! Oh, I got it wrong. Why are they all flipped over? Alien. Fatty. This one’s nice. Looks tasty. Shall we buy it for dinner? Sounds good. Awesome. Tonight we’re staying at this Airbnb. It’s great! You can even see the pool! Amazing. It’s so nice, like a resort. Shower room? It’s really exciting. Looks like everyone can fit in. Not all of us! The toilet is cute. I love the kitchen island. It’s great! Fully equipped with various tableware and cooking utensils. It’s so spacious. Let’s check out the second floor. We can BBQ here. There are two bedrooms on the second floor. We can see that guy! ↓ That guy Since there’s a terrace, we should BBQ for dinner. We got all the ingredients from the nearby supermarket. The accommodation includes a free electric BBQ grill. Beef tongue! Smells good. Is this electric? Yeah, it’s really convenient. Seems like it’s hard to clean. There’s not much smoke. Freshly grilled beef tongue is ready! In Japan, you can’t have BBQ without white rice. Everyone is surprised to hear that in Taiwan, we put the meat in bread! Next, let’s grill the diaphragm. Let’s eat the sushi we bought at the seafood market! Unfortunately, it’s cloudy today, so we can’t see the sunset. Good morning. It’s cloudy today too. It’s rare to have such a beautiful terrace view. We can’t miss it, let’s do a quick sketch! We’ll have breakfast at the Airbnb today. Mix it up. Cook it in the pan. That’s right!
