Mabashi, Matsudo, Chiba, Japan 4K Walking Tour, – Captions & Immersive Sound [4K Ultra HD]

This is a recommended route from the locals. Machibashi is a quintessential Japanese community, lacking large commercial centers and with a sparse population. It stands in stark contrast to the bustling vibrancy of Tokyo. Despite it being the weekend, the streets remain somewhat deserted, making it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll. Manman-ji (万満寺)is a Buddhist temple belonging to the Rinzai school of Japanese Zen, located in the city of Matsudo. The temple was built by Chiba Yoritane in 1256. Wooden plaques with prayers are called EMA(絵馬) in Japan. Manman-ji preserved a pair of Kamakura period statues of the Nio guardians, which are designated an Important Cultural Property (Japan) On either side of the road, there are some very old houses, some of which are already vacant. I particularly enjoy the streets surrounded by greenery; they exude a comforting atmosphere. This little shop is quite charming, with the owner displaying an array of cute dolls outside. Ryūzanshi Temple is quite different from typical temples. To reach it, you must walk along a long forest path and climb a hill, making the journey to the temple itself very pleasant. The temple, a Jōdo Shinshū independent temple, was relocated from Niigata Prefecture in Showa 11 (1936). The Jizō deity in the temple grounds, facing the Mito Kaidō, is dedicated to Sato Kyutaro, a Mito domain samurai who was beheaded in 1864 by the expulsionist faction of the domain. The locals hold it in high regard.

A walk in an ordinary Japanese neighborhood. Feel the peaceful life of the locals.
