เที่ยวคามิโกจิหน้าหนาว เดิน Trekking พร้อมเล่นสกีที่ Hakuba
On this trip to Japan, I’ve gotta say that we’ve been running our legs off. We were using our legs so much. We skied in Hakuba for 2 days and then trekked in Kamikōchi during the winter. It was such a spectacular place. Let’s go on an adventure with me, Same, and this is Go Out Now or Never, featuring the gang! We’re currently at the airport, guys. We’re getting ourselves ready to go on a trip to Japan once again. We’re joined by a big group of friends this time. This is a self-guided trip, and there are 8 of us on this trip. Right from the get-go, one of my shoes turned into a sock puppet, guys. I need to buy superglue at 7-Eleven to fix this. I don’t know if it’ll work, though. I already had a problem before the trip even started. – Ugh. – Why is your left shoe talking? It’s hungry. There were 8 of us on this trip. Let me introduce these 4 pairs to you. The first pair is Noon and Kong. They were the ones behind the plan for this trip. Noon got us plane tickets less than 12,000 Baht. [11,500 Baht, flying with Hong Kong Airlines] The next pair is Ploy and Yok. Ploy was the pro skier of the group. As for Yok, she was the rescuer. She had all the medicines and ointments you’d ever need. If any of us got sick, we’d go to her. Au and Tom are also on this trip. But they went to Japan ahead of us. We’re gonna meet them there. My job here is to shoot photos and videos. Aside from that, I’m worth nothing. As for Mint, she’s useless. She’s a pain, too, sometimes. We’re using Airxparks service once again since we’ll be traveling for 8 days and parking our cars for a long while. The provided parking lot is close to Suvarnabhumi Airport. We simply park there, and a shuttle service will take us here. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the Airport. [No need to find parking spots yourselves] Their service is top-notch. The parking fee is also cheaper than at the airport. For the route that we took, we had to transfer flights in Hong Kong first. Still, it was under 12,000 Baht. We were also flying in January, so it was worth it. Monks were boarding a plane with us as well. Sometimes I wonder, when monks are on a plane, do they have a late-night supper? Will serving food to monks at night go against the practices? After a long and tiring flight, the goofy gang landed at Narita Airport. [What are they doing?] The weather here feels like we’re getting scolded. – Why? – It’s chilled to the bone. You wanna make jokes, I can tell. [They’re here!] [Au and Tom] What is this? You went to the wrong gate. What was the point of me waiting there? – The girls are here. – Why? She’s holding a sign, too! Tom said get ready to take a video. These guys are in the North Wing. We were in the South Wing. Why?! We used a van service from Thailand Journeys. They offered a van service and a driver. How convenient. The driver took care of the luggage, providing info about Japan, and more importantly, he was Thai. His name is Hiro. There were 4-5 cameras in the van, talking about road safety! We’ve met him once, back in the episode where we were in Hokkaido. We were going to be here for 8 days, and there would be 2 episodes of this trip. For the first EP, we’d be skiing at Hakuba and winter trekking in Kamikōchi. For the second EP, we’d return to Tokyo and travel around the city. We’d be staying there for 3 days and 2 nights. [Stopping by for a meal] Whoa! Are you gonna be alright, Same? We’re at a rest stop, guys. We’re here to have a meal. It’s super windy outside. I don’t know if the plan to ski tomorrow will come to fruition since it’s aggressively windy. The van was shaking from the wind as well. We met Hiro on the last trip. We’ve met him again using the service from Thailand Journeys. The service is great, and he’s good at driving. We learn a lot about Japan from him. He’s a Thai who has been living in Japan for over 20 years. He’s very knowledgeable about Japan. If you’re looking for a van service, feel free to contact Thailand Journeys. Aside from offering tour services, they also offer van service for those who are in need of a van and a driver. We were on the road for about 4 and a half hours before arriving in Hakuba, a small village in Nagano. This village is known for its trekking routes and ski courses. Arriving this late at night, we should grab something for dinner. Everyone was looking for things they wanted, and so was I… It seemed like we didn’t get a lot of the food, though. They bought cosmetics and stuff. [They were cheap] As for my shoes, the other one was getting worn as well. I was gonna have another sock puppet soon. It was just in time for me to buy superglue for my shoes here in Japan. These are genuine! They’re only 100 Yen. – That’s 24 Baht. – Yeah. This one is 100 Yen. That’s 24 Baht. [Daiso in Japan] It’s of high quality as well. Yeah, these are Japanese products The branches in Thailand also have these. I see. Even Dyson products are of high quality. No, not Dyson. We all agreed that the frozen fruits here looked amazing. So we decided to give a cup or two a try. They became our favorites very quickly. [Roughly 80 Baht] Whenever we stopped at 7-Eleven, we each had to get one. It’s so refreshing! It’s like they got the flavor just right. Wanna try the berry one? So that we know exactly what we should get. – They also have strawberries, too. – This cup must be great. After taking it out of the freezer, plop it into the machine. The machine will finely blend the fruits so that we can enjoy them fresh. It was refreshing and fragrant. Then we headed to our shelter, which was right next to the Tsugaike Mountain Resort, a place where we’d be skiing tomorrow. It was a single degree cold. We were there in January. And it was decently cold, guys. How are you doing, Mint? It’s currently about 10.30 P.M. No, I’m asking you if you’re cold, – not what time it is. – It’s warm here. Yeah, it’s about -8°C. It’s cold. Look at that deer wearing a mask and glasses! A local deer, guys. Thank you! What if you do it downward? Now, knock the head. Our room is on the second floor. Now, look at our stuff and the staircase. This place is called Lodge Tsubaki, Otari. It’s a 2-story hotel. It’s nothing fancy, really. It’s good enough for a stay after skiing. The place was pretty good, actually. It was close to the resort and could house multiple people in a room. It has a shared bathroom, though, with men and women separated. If you want to drink a cold one night, you have to chill a bottle like this. It’s so satisfying. As for Day 2, the weather was nice and clear. It was snowing heavily, so the snow was fluffy and fun for skiing. After having breakfast, we visited the Tsugaike Mountain Resort. Mint’s outerwear and mine were from VECTOR. We looked so cool and professional in these. The look was just for show, though. – Keep walking. – Wearing a diaper? – A diaper? – Keep walking. As a protective gear? She told me to wear it? – It helps, though. – Au, you might break your butt. Tsugaike Mountain Resort sports an enormous ski course. They also have all of the skiing equipment for rent. Whether you’re here to ski, snowboard, or if you’re a newbie and want to play in the snow, you can come here. Look at how newbie she is, wearing the outfit on the wrong side. We were doomed from the start. We fill in our information, such as name, shoe sizes, height, and stuff. They’d then do the fitting and get it right. You have to spare some time, guys. It takes quite a while. We have to wear the ski wear, goggles, [It takes an hour] gloves, a shirt, a jacket, boots, and pants. It takes a lot of time. More importantly, poop before going skiing. Or else you have to wear the gear again if you wanna poop. Yok has been wearing the boots for about an hour now. She’s having problems with her boots. I’m done, but now I wanna pee. What do I do? It took an hour to wear them, too. It’s okay. – She can take them off up there. – It’ll take another hour wearing the jacket. I loved the fact that we could see every boot being test-fitted with the skis. They’d measure everything. It’s a very important step because if the boots are fitted poorly, we’ll have a bad time skiing. The one with the most experience in skiing here was Master Ploy. [The teacher of the group] I’ll show you her moves later. Guys! We’re wearing VECTOR skiing outerwear today. It looks so great. It has a hip-hop vibe and looks cool. Yeah. It looks professional. [Design mixed with function] – Despite being… – Just… beginners. There’s a pocket for your phone, too. See? – The pockets and zippers – It’s got a lot of them. – …are all removable. – Yes. You can turn one into… – a shoulder bag, – A strap is included. – like a crossbody bag. – Yeah. There are a lot of zipper pockets – for storage – Yes. – It’s got a lot of compartments. – all over the jacket. It’s got zipper pockets on the inside, too. And… I like this part here, Mint. [For ventilation] – It’s got like… – For peeing. No! It’s got a zipper here for ventilation. If the inside feels too hot since it’s got the mesh, it gets cold here when it’s open. – It cools off this part instantly. – Yes, because of the wind. – The wind gets through there. – Wind blows during the ski. Yeah, there are mesh all over these spots. [Even the underarm area has vent holes] They allow winds to blow through and keep us cool. – Yeah. – It doesn’t get hot and toasty. It’s also water-repellent and windproof. We’re gonna try skiing while wearing this outerwear. Let’s go! Let me tell you this first. At 1 P.M., see you at the Burger King up there, okay? – Burger King? – Burger King. – Are you ready for a race? – Yes. Our friend is competing in the Olympics. – What about us? – It’s the Paralympics. Let’s go. [Master Ploy is in the lead] [Look at her moves] Master Ploy! Master! Let me tell you that she’s been in a competition before. [Our beacon of light] I slipped only for a bit. What happened, Master? What went wrong? I didn’t warm up my legs. I see! [Her legs were a bit stiff] Your legs are a bit stiff, I see. Okay, that’s fine. It happens to the best of us. [Here comes Mint] Whoa, I think the outerwear makes you good at this! There are many levels to their courses, starting from the green area for beginners, and going up to the red area. They even have the black area, which is a challenging one. The scenery was stunning. Since the mountains were massive and the one we were skiing on was quite steep, the vibes were quite varied. Even Hiro, our van driver, wanted to join in the fun too since the weather was nice and the course was pretty inviting. His moves were so cool. This area is perfect for beginners since it’s pretty flat and long. The course is also not that steep. The view is beautiful as well. [Skiing along the mountainside] We’re exercising our legs, guys. We’re warming ourselves up. As for this beginner route, you can come and ski here. [Hiro is also here] It’s nice and easy. It’s zigzagging along the mountainside. The view is gorgeous, guys. Mint is teaching us how to correctly fall over. She says it’s to land on our sides. I can feel that my legs are tired if my boots aren’t fitting properly. – Yeah. – Right? [We have to keep them tight] We have to keep them tight or else our legs feel tired. Once you’ve reached the bottom, you have to use the lift to get back up. You’ll get to see the top view from up here, which is part of the charm when it comes to skiing. – Constant dropping wears… – It’s dropping. It doesn’t wear, because our pockets are water-repellent! They’re perfectly fine! – See? That was a tie-in. – Did you touch my breasts? Did I touch yours? Really? I didn’t even touch the bra pads. This course is enormous, guys! It took about 20 minutes to reach the top using the lift. Imagine how long it’d take to ski downward. Just from the lift, I can see like… There are about 6-7 lifts running on each side. You can just choose which area you want to ski. It’s nice because when you go skiing at other courses, the green area is at the very bottom. The view won’t be as beautiful there. But here, it’s at the top and is doable since it’s a very gentle slope. It’s also got a lot of trees in it. This allows beginners to enjoy the view as well. That’s amazing. Gently. [The view is breathtaking] [I can’t catch up] Keep your legs nice and straight. Zoom! Not zooming in, though. I’m talking about speeding up. Beautiful. See? You can do it. [I shouldn’t have said anything] It’s been only a few seconds! – You said you got it, but here we are! – Got it! Your legs should be on that side. Whoa, that’s a naughty angle. I have to censor that. For me, the joy of skiing is seeing the beautiful views and feeling the wind that hits my face. It’s even more fun when I’m skiing with my friends. The best part is catching them falling over on camera. That’s such a delight. There were also other activities for us to do there, from kid’s activities to this fearsome snow buggy cruising! Whoa, is it snowing? [Cruise to your heart’s content] Fasten the seat belts. That was fun. We shouldn’t have been skiing. But we’ve been doing it for 3 hours. Sekizawa… Sakizawa? – Sekizawa-san. – Ah… – Sekizawa. – Come here! After skiing for a while, it turns out that I’ve lost my phone! I don’t know where I dropped it. [I’m doomed] I put it in the pocket. It’s got zippers, too. But I didn’t zip it. I looked it up on Find My iPhone app. It says it’s about 2 km away. So I’m heading to the location to see if it’s still there or if it’s already gone. Will I find it? There are a lot of foreigners here as well. Let’s see if it’s there. I lost my phone. iPhone? What’s the color? – It’s white. – White? A white color. I’ve found my phone! They kept it there. I think someone found it, so it was kept there. How lovely. I’m so happy, guys! Thank you so much! The people here are so lovely. They might’ve found it and brought it here. I don’t know who did it. I can’t speak Japanese as well. They also couldn’t tell how or who brought it here. Still, thank you so much, Japan, for keeping my phone safe. A lot of important data and files are in it. I even have rare videos in it. Thank you so much. While I was looking for my phone, my friends were doing other activities. And they all looked pretty fun. Kids or the elderly can also give them a try. If you don’t want to ski or snowboard, I think this resort is a decent option. There are a lot of activities to do here. It’s 4 P.M., and the sun is setting. The gondola lift is now closed. We’ll go up the mountain to ski one last time before heading back. I’m so happy traveling to Japan. It’s a developed country, and the quality of life is good. [I’m still impressed by it] Whenever something gets lost, not just mine, nobody has actually taken it when I’m here traveling with my friends. People here are honest and don’t take advantage of the situation. It’s been embedded into the minds of the Japanese. That’s one of the charms and reasons why Thais often visit here, apart from travel-related reasons. My legs are so tired! Are you spent? But I feel like I’ve done so much better. Yeah! You can do it. Do a turn. – Do the S-shape. – I can’t! You can only go straight? After recovering my phone, I didn’t just find the phone… I also found someone’s rental car key. It was dropped in the middle of the course. I’m becoming a millionaire without realizing it. I’ll give this to the information clerks. I got my iPhone back, right? So we have to spread kindness around. But if I didn’t get mine back, the car would’ve been mine. After we’re done skiing, about 15 steps away from the resort, eateries and stuff can be found here. How come they’re so prepared? People are drinking beers and stuff. There’s a small BBQ shop here, too. How convenient! You can just grab some food after skiing, and vice versa. Restaurants can be found behind the rental facilities. There were also onsen foot baths. If you’re tired from skiing, you can come here and bathe your legs in the baths. Bathing while sipping a can of beer would be such an amazing moment. After the bath, we ate some grilled pork and beef skewers. It was such a delightful meal. After having the appetizer, we had to have a hearty dinner. She loves playing with the snow. Snow! Snow! What is this place called? It’s the I-don’t-know restaurant. Gosh, you’re useless, aren’t you? Usually, when we have dinner, Hiro, the van driver, won’t be joining us. But he was so lovely on this trip. It was like we were friends and part of this trip. So we invited him to eat with us at every meal. Was it because I’m a kindhearted person? No, we wanted him to share the bill with us. We topped the meal off with desserts. We each got the frozen fruit smoothie once again. Okay, after having the BBQ last night, we immediately showered and hit the hay. It was a shared onsen bath. There were others and us there. Men were butt-naked bathing. I was thinking that I’d shame them if theirs were smaller than mine. I was dead silent while taking a shower, though… We had breakfast this morning, right? There was only a single trash bin when we had a meal yesterday. So we discarded food waste in it. Japan sorts their waste, right? But I discarded mine in the wrong bin. And someone was there and messing with me… It was… – Why did you… – I didn’t do anything. Oh, okay. [Cautious] Was that your reaction? After discarding it in the wrong bin, the staff informed me to discard leftovers in this spot. They’d place a tray of cup noodles on a table, indicating where they should be discarded. That was so lovely of them. We were about to check out and head out, guys. Hiro took care of the luggage for us. The visibility on that day was quite bad. It was cloudy. It was also partly raining and snowing. We were going to ski at another location called Iwatake Mountain Resort. It was not that far from where we stayed. It was like another ski course. What’s good about this place is it’s got a beautiful cafe up the mountain. There’s a photo spot called Yoo-Hoo! SWING as well. But as for skiing, I don’t think this place isn’t that suited for beginners. I felt like each course was quite steep. We’re now at Iwatake Mountain Resort. It’s another ski course. It’s very cloudy today. The sky is completely gray. Look. At least there aren’t storms or anything. It only snows here and there. It’s a different vibe from yesterday. This place has a viewpoint up the mountain and the swing that is quite well-known. If you’re here you have to give it a try. If we’ve already rented our gear and put it on, going up to the cafe and taking pictures would be quite a hassle. So we decided to go up there and take pictures first, and head down to ski. We’re the twinsies! Despite being cloudy, it’s so beautiful up here! We’re gonna try the Yoo-Hoo! SWING. It’s a swing where you can go and swing. It’s not dangerous. There are 4 guards taking care of the attraction. Ploy, any last words? D*mn you! What do you want for your last meal? You’re this kind of person, right? To infinity and beyond. [What a gorgeous view] It’s now raining quite heavily. It’s completely white back there. Ever since we planned out the trip, the weather has been changing sporadically. Saying ‘we’ is an overstatement. I have to say that, ever since Au landed here… – natural disasters have occurred sporadically, – No! Listen. – We landed here only 2 days before you. – …from fire, to earthquake, – and even tsunami. – When you landed, a storm hit the city. – It was all because of her. – No. It started pouring. So we had to get changed in the van. Upon closer inspection of VECTOR’s outerwear, it’s jam-packed with details. It’s got elastic straps to keep the jacket tight. It’s also got the sleeve gloves. There are hidden zipper pockets all over the jacket. It’s also got rubber straps to keep snow from getting inside. I think this is such well-thought-out outerwear for skiers. It’s got all the things that skiers ever needed. [It can be washed over 15,000 times] VECTOR’s outerwear also has this. See? – You can just zip it up. – Yes. All people can see are your eyes. – Yeah, so cool. – I see. That’s cool. Despite the poor visibility, we had to give it a go now that we were here. When it freshly rains, the ground is extra slippery. I think at this point, the green area felt like the red one. [We didn’t even start…] [Master Ploy] [She’s so fast] Sh*t. ♫What am I doing here?♫ I’m just checking the temperature so that everyone can see how cold it is. From what I can tell, it’s -2°C. We’re doing a thorough review, guys. We even talk about the temperature of the course. The review’s done. Let’s keep going. Are you sure you’re going the right way? [I fell over again] The temperature in each spot is different, guys. So I have to check it again. People want to know what the temperature is like before coming here! It’s different, you see. This one is about -4°C. If you’re looking for a place for lunch after skiing, coming here around 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. is just the right hour. Once it’s past 1 or 2 P.M., like yesterday, you can barely find anything to eat. since most restaurants are closing. Also, it’s way more challenging skiing in the rain because it’s extremely slippery. Sponsors… Ski instructors, please sponsor us! If you know how to ski, please DM me! This is too exhausting! Gosh! That was it for a skiing trip. I’m in rough shape. Next, we’ll move to another city. Let’s pack things up first. My legs right now… Oh, dear! I dropped it. My hands are so weak. I was spent, guys. That was it for our skiing trip. Everyone was spent and exhausted. We traveled from Hakuba, a village of skiing and trekking, to Matsumoto, heading to Kamikōchi. You might get blisters and bumps there… The town is called Mosquito. It’s Mastumoto! Not Mosquito! It got dark by the time we got there. So we had to get some snacks. This place is like AEON MALL. It’s massive. The goodies at the place were also cheap. I recommended this place, and if you come across yellow labels like these… A box of 10 pieces of sushi costs only 397 Yen! [94 Baht] What? Is this true? For real? Kong! Gosh! You’re so good! [First try] Was that your first attempt? What a pro! We’d arrived in Matsumoto and got inside our shelter. It’s an Airbnb, which is 3-story tall. There are tons of bedrooms. It can accommodate dozens of guests, guys. There’s a living room and a kitchen. All the accommodations can be found here. We can stay here for days. It’s got laundry detergent, a bathroom, a bathtub, and even a traditional Japanese bath. Bedrooms are on the second floor. They’re in the style of traditional Japanese bedrooms. They’re gorgeous and clean. [A Ryokan-style bedroom] More importantly, on the third floor, there’s a rooftop where you can chill out at night. This is the rooftop of this place. We can see a full 360-degree view up here. If you don’t know what to get for a meal, just head to Yoshinoya. It offers a wide variety of dishes. Simply order them from the tablet. There are sukiyaki, tonkatsu, fish, and all sorts of rice bowls. They are also delicious. What are you guys doing? Hanging my clothes. I’m washing your underwear. You’ve been wearing this one for 3 days. Better get it washed. Okay, we’re washing our underwear, guys. This place has washing machines, hair dryers, dryers, and even dishwashers. They also have cotton swabs, toothbrushes, and all sorts of knickknacks. [This place is like a hotel] It’s so convenient. The 2-day skiing trip was a blast, skiing at Tsugaike Mountain Resort and Iwatake Mountain Resort. I skied so hard that I got a bruise on my leg. Everyone was going all out. It was very fun. Thais don’t go there that much. The route that we took was planned by Kong himself. He’s the one planning the trip. His routes were out of the ordinary, though. They were a bit obscure. [Exploring new routes] Not many people took them. VECTOR’s outerwear got it under control, guys. We were out in the rain and snow a lot today. But when Mint took out hers… She was also wearing a wool sweater, right? It was completely dry. She could simply go and enjoy her day right after. It’s got a lot of zipper pockets on it. The jacket has been well thought out for skiers. It was tailored for skiers. Even beginners and professionals can wear it. [Looking cool first…] Okay, as for tomorrow, we’ll head to Fukuoka. Fukuoka… We’ll explore the city during the winter, [It’s Kamikōchi!] when it’s covered in snow. It won’t be in lush green or orange, like what we’ve seen. It’s just white. Traveling there this time around, it’s where some roads are closed. It’s been snowing very heavily, so we have to go to some places on foot. The group’s private tour guide, an authorized personnel, must lead us the way there. And… Sure! Noon! At this rate, just come in. It’s okay. I’m not sure if we’ll make it tomorrow. Let’s see what it’s like. Let’s hit the sack! That was freaking horrifying… "And…" [A 1-hour drive] We geared up and prepared ourselves before trekking in Kamikōchi. This was the place to hire a tour guide for the winter trek. You can freely enter here in other seasons. But during the winter, the place is closed for renovations and only accepts a number of visitors. So hiring a tour guide is required. [Outerwear must be wind and water-repellent] I was wearing the same outwear [Outerwear must be wind and water-repellent] because it’s windproof and water-repellent. Since they’re very serious about the gear, such as boots, you have to rent a pair if they don’t meet the specifications. After gearing up, we hopped into the provided van, which took us to the entrance tunnel to start this journey. We look like mountain climbers. – Ploy looks exactly like one. – Yeah. – Ploy, why are you looking like a pro? – She… She’s also tall. It’s like she’s trekking for a living. Yeah. Okay, guys. We’re now in… Whoa! I slipped in front of the tunnel. It’s the tunnel leading to Kamikōchi. You can’t just randomly go inside. You have to have the routes planned and a guide to lead you inside. They have the gear, trekking poles, and snowshoes for trekking here for rent. We each have a pair of these. We’re gonna head inside now. We’ll be trekking all day, guys. I don’t even know if any of these match the looks. I just wear whatever keeps me warm. Be careful, it’s slippery! [Surviving is the priority] It was about 8 km before reaching the destination. So it was about 16 km for a round trip. First, there are 2 tunnels we have to pass through before seeing the beauty of Kamikōchi. I think the hardest and most challenging part was passing the first tunnel Not only was it hard to breath in the tunnel, road repairing trucks were also passing through. Why didn’t they just take us to the end of the tunnel? This tunnel is 1.2 km long. As for our legs, after having been skiing for 2 whole days… I don’t think we’ll make it. We’re walking uphill, guys. It’s about 11 degrees steep. Don’t bother yourself to do this. We finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I must say that we’d made it through the toughest part. We breathed in the fresh cold air, freshening ourselves up. But look at those Japanese, it was nothing for them. They’d completely dusted us. Taking photos was our priority, though. After passing this tunnel, we’d be able to witness the beauty of Kamikōchi. We just had to hang in there. Our guide was a bit confused, wondering if this was our first time trekking. Most people coming here are trekkers and mountain climbers who are quite experienced. Also, this is not just an ordinary path. It’s a bit steep, walking up the hill. The second tunnel is about 550 m long. We’re exiting the tunnel, guys. We’ll be able to sightsee nature soon. There won’t be any tunnels after this. The way we dress feels like we’re in a different group. Look at them. Are you a local here? From here you can see snowy mountains in the background. They’re gorgeous, guys. 2-3 groups of Japanese trekkers walked past us. They snapped a pic and then left. But for us… We spent an hour and a half taking pictures. After trekking a while, we wanted to catch a break. We had the supplies that we bought yesterday to fill ourselves up. I was still over the moon with the cheap boxes of sushi. After that, we’d be trekking on a snow-covered trail. So we had to wear these snowshoes. – They’re way lighter than skis. – Really? We have to walk with our legs a bit spread apart – Yes, we have to. – because of the width of the snowshoes. [What’s that sound?] No! It’s this! – Are you sure? – That wasn’t a fart sound. – Are you sure? – I thought it was a fart. I didn’t think so, Mint. Are they better than normal shoes? No. The way we walk, it’s… They’re harder than walking with normal shoes. Yes. It’s like I’m wearing something big. – I can’t walk with my legs this close. – Right. Other groups spend 5 minutes at a photo spot. Then they keep walking for another hour. But we spend an hour at a photo spot. After 5 minutes of walking, we’d stop for photos again. I don’t think we’ll make it. They say you won’t get used to the snowshoes at first. The same goes for wearing them for hours… What? [It’s hard to move around] – I’m still not used to them. – Neither am I. Same, take off the hat! Your bald spots! Mint, you made me wear it for too long! No, that’s not the case. You have gray hair and bald spots! Your scalp is also flaking! – You made me wear these kinds of hat. – Same… – Do you wanna wear this? – It looks good, I mean. I love this hat so much. Done! Kamikōchi is so beautiful. I’ve only heard my friends say – it was beautiful. – Yes. But coming here during the winter, it’s… The weather matches the place. – When it snowed, the color would be like… – Yeah, it’s beautiful. – It’s so natural. – It’s in the same tone. You must come here if this place is on your list. The place is nice. So is the weather. The view is also breathtaking. You might have to walk a lot, though. If you want to come here during the winter, exercise beforehand if possible. Try walking on a treadmill or doing walking exercises. Or else you might not make it. Honestly, we could simply trek and reach the end. But we wanted to take photos along the way. So we won’t make it to the end. Reaching the end isn’t as important as seeing things along the road. That’s the joy of traveling. It’s nothing if we reach the end without taking any photos. Yes. That’s why we always stop to take photos. – So it’s a bit slow. – We should take photos for a bit. On this trip, we’re wearing jackets from GOODY WINTER once again! What I’m wearing is a reversible down jacket. There are 4 colors to choose from. We’re in Kamikōchi, right? Yes, it’s about -2°C when we were walking. But this keeps us warm so well. – Yes. – It’s also light. – Yes. – It doesn’t get in the way – when we’re walking. – Mmm. – Ploy, spin around. – Yours is like a cropped jacket. – You can mix and match the look with it. – It’s also reversible. – Yeah. – True. – Is it actually reversible? – Yeah. – I see! – It looks so cute. – It’s worth it, right? – It’s a 2 in 1. – Yeah, get 2 different colors in 1. – Exactly. Despite bringing one, – you can swap the colors around. – Your looks will be different for the photos. I’m wearing this color for a shot. Yes. It’s also fashionable. We can be on the same theme – by swapping it to gray. – Yes. Honestly, the look of the jacket feels fashionable. Yes, it looks cool. – True. – You won’t look stubby. – Yeah! – Yes! The puffer isn’t that puffy, right? – But it still keeps us warm. – It’s warm. Additionally, I’m wearing their tights. They’re for the freezing temperature. – I’m wearing a single layer. – She’s showing them. And they keep me warm. I can guarantee that they are enough to keep me warm. – I don’t need to wear extra layers. – Yeah, they’re warm. They’re so cool. If you’re interested, the link to the products is right here. Three of you are so fit! Of course! Look at her! She looked so dull at first, but now she looks super fresh. Why? It’s because she wants to head back! Kobori!! Angsumalin! The lines on the road here make me wanna sing. What song? ♫There’s a fine line that I can never cross♫ Despite only making it half way, we were extremely impressed by it. We weren’t winners, we were just participants. We wrote the channel name down. We also got this lovely picture. It’s a testament to our visit there. How about that bridge? Hurry up. I’m waiting for you to take a nap. – Do you wanna know how you sleep? – Tell me. Mint, what does he do when he is sleep-talking? He’d make noises. Maybe he was dreaming of his wife’s breasts. Having a private van means that we can stop and take photos anywhere we want. The water here was turquoise green. It was gorgeous. The water flowing from the snowy mountains tends to be that color. It was beautiful. But it was also freezing cold. I can’t believe that Suriya Funeral is here. No! [‘T’SURIYA Funeral] It’s TSURUYA! It’s a supermarket! I thought they have a branch here in Japan. Feeling extremely tired, we decided to have all-you-can-eat BBQ at SHABU-YO. It offers all-you-can-eat pork, beef, sushi, and even beer. Simply choose whatever you want. The price is also affordable. The food also tastes great. Hiro recommended this place. Nobody was disappointed by this place. Okay! The food was amazing, guys. The price is also cheap. This is my second time visiting this. You can eat anything as much as you want. The time limit is about an hour. I went with all-you-can-eat pork, which cost about 2,000 Yen. That’s 500 Baht, and you can have as much as you want. As for the beef, I think it was 800 Baht. It was about 1,000 Baht, with drinks included. Everyone said that the beef was great. This is SHABU-YO. The place offers desserts and sushi, too. Give it a try, guys. You won’t be disappointed. Japanese people are very honest. For example, when sitting at the same dining table, one customer might drink beer while another might not. Additionally, one might get the all-you-can-eat beer, all sitting at the same table. They trust customers to not cheat on the drink. People here are extremely honest. Noon, where are we? It’s Suriya. [We’re not over this joke!] They offer both normal and premium caskets. It’d be the premium ones for us. We decompose extremely fast. We decided to shop for tomorrow’s breakfast. We would like to recommend you snacks at an affordable price to try! These are crispy palmiers. A box sold in Bangkok is extremely expensive. But here, I love them. Every time I’m here, I’ll buy one to eat back home. I actually buy loads of them. It’s cheap and delicious. It’s got this big bag, right? There are also smaller bags inside. – We can share them around. – There are about 24 pieces. – I see. – There are 24 palmiers in a bag. It costs 299 Yen. So it’s only about 80 Baht. – It’s only 80 Baht. – It’s perfect for a souvenir, too. Yes. I told Hiro that I got my phone back at the ski resort. How fortunate I was. He said that the chances of getting your phones back are very high. People here, aside from having good public mind, they also don’t know what to do with the lost phones. But if this is Thailand, and someone finds a lost iPhone 15, they would sell it. People don’t do that here. When someone buys an iPhone or any phone here, it’s like buying a contract phone. For example, if you wanna buy an iPhone, you need to purchase it along with a service plan. You might have to pay 3,000-4,000 Baht monthly. So you have to pay 2-3-year installments. You’ll get the phone. Once the plan expires, the phone is entirely yours. Also, Hiro says that when someone finds a wallet with lots of money in it, it’s like a Japanese tradition where they’d give something in return when someone returns their stuff, so they’ll hand lost items to the police. Maybe it’s because of their public mind, [Developing good social value] and they’d get small gifts in return. So, that’s why, when something gets lost in Japan, there’s a high chance of getting it back. Okay, today was such an exhausting day. Still, we had a blast. We’ve been walking so much that my legs are in a lot of pain. We were skiing for 2 days. Today, we walked a round trip of 8 km. The entire trail is about 16 km. That’s super long. I’m happy that we got a lot of beautiful shots. The surroundings were extremely gorgeous. It was refreshing being in a place like that. The only problem was the tunnels. They were a bit of a hassle. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just drive us to the end of the tunnel. There was little to no air to breathe. There were also road repairing trucks passing by. There were fumes and everything. That gave me a headache. But it’s cakewalk after passing the tunnels. If exhaust fumes could be released at the end of the tunnel, and if we could start walking from there, it would be perfect. We might be able to trek a lot further, too. As for the gear, such as drones, DJI Osmo, or all sorts of action cameras, they are available at ZoomCamera, guys. They’ve been supporting me for a long time now. If you want to support my channel, you can do it by supporting them. There are 8 branches nationwide. They also have an online store. You can easily do online shopping on there. They have discount codes available. Before you checkout, use the code that offers the most discount. Don’t forget to use them. If you can, tell them that you know them from Go Out Now or Never. They’d give you some free gifts or offer you free shipping. We’re gonna spend one more night here. Tomorrow, we’ll check out and head to Tokyo. We’d check out of the house this morning. Before leaving, we needed to clean the house and separate the waste into the right bins. We then headed to Matsumoto Castle. – Noon, give me that. – Aren’t your legs cold? – No. – Take this. I wore this the last time, too. – Take this. – You’re unbelievable. Should I wear this or Mint’s? – This one. – A**shole, I know what you’re thinking. It seems like you’re afraid of getting wet. You can take one. I want to get wet. What castle are we heading to, Mint? Matsumoto Castle! How many years has it been around? Hundreds of years. – Is it old? – It is. What is it made of? Wood. Whoa, she’s so knowledgeable. We’re the best hosts for this show. [Know by just looking] – You can get in there. – I won’t! – That’s nonsense. – Same! I won’t be able to get out. I’ll become a dryad. You’ll be like Sun Wukong, who’s stuck in… – the rocks. – Got stuck. "Tell your mom I want to eat noodles." Matsumoto Castle is the oldest wooden castle in Japan. Because it’s not far away, it’s easy for tourists to come. When Japanese people build a castle, they’ll pave the path with gravel. You’ll hear this sound when there’s a burglar. The castle is in black and shaped like a wing. Some people call this castle the Crow Castle. It’s considered a Japanese national treasure. Since we were here and it rained, we entered the castle. Inside, it maintains a large collection of guns and weapons. Everyone of them looked stunning and magical. They’re so old. If I were to die, I’d like to be shot by these guns. I think you’ll die at the hands of your woman. I actually have a gun. You mean that thing? Darts? It’s unbelievable that this gun has something to do with bubble tea. Here, it’s a brown-sugar! Sorry, it’s a bazooka. Upstairs, there are windows on every side, allowing you to see enemies coming from afar. It’s different for Thai people. Tall buildings were not common in Thailand, but tall castles are everywhere in Japan. Exploring this kind of historic building makes you learn something. We then stopped by Soba Yamato near the parking space. It was my first time trying raw horse meat. Making jokes here would be like beating a dead horse. Chew first, and follow it up with… – It’s tough. – Is it? I guess it’s because – it has strong muscles. – Right. That’s why the meat’s tough. It’s like fowl’s flesh. It’s slightly sweet. If you eat it with rice, you’ll have so much rice because you’ll have to keep chewing it. And it’s sweet. Yes, it is. There’s fat that you can’t chew. Just swallow it. Should I spit it out – or swallow it? – Swallow it. This one doesn’t have fat. [There’s no fat] If it has fat, it would be like bubble gum, I think. If you want to try exotic food, give it a try. For me, regular dishes are enough. Exotic food may give you diarrhea. According to Hiro, Japan’s elderly population has grown a lot. Japanese people cease financial support for their children at age 18. 18 is when you’re in grade 12. After that, you may find jobs to do. Earn yourself a living. Live your life. That’s most of them. Rich people are not in this. Parents also have to earn money to be prepared for retirement. That’s what they need to be disciplined to do. Now, Japan’s birth rate is lower and the population is aging. Elderly don’t get lots of money. They get around 200K Yen per month. That’s not much in their country. That’s around 50K Baht per month when they retired. That amount of money is not enough for a life in Japan. So, most of them’ll go abroad. In Thailand… If they know how, they’ll come to Thailand. 50K Baht a month in Thailand would give you an easy life. That’s a serious problem in Japan right now. This is so good! [Recommending a Japanese snack!] It’s grape-shaped ice cream. You have to try it. "Cream Puff Ice Cream." The cream smells good. There’s a lot of cream in here. The outside is crunchy while the inside is soft. It’s a bit cold for my teeth. There you go! How is it? It’s too cold for your teeth. You’re too old. – It’s cold. – You gum’s also pulling away. How did you know? It’s true. – It’s freaking cold. – Your gum’s pulling away. – It’s cold… – It’s good. – Lemon milk… – Melon!! It’s silky and milky. It’s good for those who like gentle tastes. You like it because it’s got lots of MSG. – Look at this. – Your hair fell out again. You only had 2 of them, but you already lost 3 hairs. – Hey, we’re now in Narai-juku. – Narai-juku. The view is stunning. – On both sides, there are ancient houses. – Old houses. – Right. – They’re wooden houses. You’ll get stunning photos here. [A town established in the Edo period] Everyone’s taking photos here. – Look. – And it’s not very busy here. – It’s now widely known. – It looks peaceful. – Yes. – Until we’re here… And the car’s running toward us. Let’s go. You’ll see that there are lots of abandoned houses. According to Hiro and Au, there are lots of elderly people in Japan. Before they die, they’ll give the houses to their children and grandchildren. However, some of them live in towns. So, they don’t know what to do with the houses. They can’t sell them, and they can’t live in them. To keep them, they’ll have to pay a land tax, [The computation is 1.4%] which is pretty expensive. [The computation is 1.4%] So, they’ll just abandon them. They’ll let the government take possession of it. On the outskirts of cities in Japan, the number of abandoned houses is increasing. That’s another problem in Japan. When you see these houses on your trip, you might think they’re pretty. However, after some time, they may look weird. You know, it might look like a haunted village. It wouldn’t look really good. After that, we headed to Tokyo, for a 3-day trip. Stick around to check out the next EP! That’s it for this EP. It was a fun trip that I enjoyed and really liked because I got to ski in Hakuba. The ski area was good and cheaper than others. Trekking in Kamikochi also felt like I was in another world. It was a lot more fun when my friends were there, too. In the next EP, we’re going to Tokyo for 3 days and 2 nights. Let’s update new tourist attractions in case you don’t want to travel far to the attractions in Tokyo. I lost a lot on this trip. I didn’t lose anything, but money on shopping. Thank you for following us. See you in the next video. [Pretending to trek] It’s very rare to see the crew here, as they’ll come once in a crew moon. Here are the parking spaces at Airxparks. Look. Noon, we’re in the forest. Leaf me alone. I said "leaf" me alone. Leave her alone. [She knew] Give me that stick. – I’ll just work. – Give me that. It’s behind you. You’re pranking me. I know. [She always knows] Jeez! You ruined it. Fine. I’ll pretend I don’t know. I was going to say, here’s the pork belly. Jeez, you ruined it. Same… Same… Wait. [Doesn’t have any makeup] You had too many of them. It’s not fluffy. You know what? [The snow’s not fluffy] Agh! She needs to… Same told her to act like she fell and bled. This butterfly pie snack is so good. It’s affordable, too. Let’s do it again. One more time. Here! I love this butterfly pie snack. And… Again. One more time. Here! Okay, we’re going to take photos with the castle. Here, the castle of my eye. I lied. [Not the castle of my eye] Why did you do that to me? Lean more to your right. [To your right!] Right! Position your legs in an A position! [Right!!] The skis are stuck!
