From Ueno to Nippori, Tokyo, Japan 4K Walking Tour, – Captions & Immersive Sound [4K Ultra HD]
Ueno Park. The very popular Central Park. When I first arrived in Japan, I walked this path almost every day. It shaped my initial impression of Tokyo. Compared to the imperial gardens like Meiji Shrine, Ueno Park has more of a daily life atmosphere. Strolling through it feels relaxing. Ueno Park is renowned for its blooming cherry blossoms. Every year during cherry blossom season, many people gather here to enjoy the flowers. There are also many top-notch museums and art galleries here. This alley is home to many exquisite little shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Yanaka Cemetery. I’ve heard it’s the largest cemetery in the city. It’s also famous for its cherry blossoms and serves as the resting place for numerous Japanese dignitaries, including the Tokugawa family. Transforming a cemetery into a park within the city might seem unusual to many tourists from other countries. But I believe it perfectly reflects the unique worldview of the Japanese people. Despite being a cemetery, it’s not eerie at all; instead, it evokes a sense of tranquility. A fascinating interaction of "life" and "death" within the same space.
