This alley is home to many exquisite little shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Yanaka Cemetery. I’ve heard it’s the largest cemetery in the city. It’s also famous for its cherry blossoms and serves as the resting place for numerous Japanese dignitaries, including the Tokugawa family. Transforming a cemetery into a park within the city might seem unusual to many tourists from other countries. But I believe it perfectly reflects the unique worldview of the Japanese people. Despite being a cemetery, it’s not eerie at all; instead, it evokes a sense of tranquility. A fascinating interaction of "life" and "death" within the same space.
