146- Baie-Saint-Paul Canada | Visite de la ville de Charlevoix

[Canada – Quebec – Baie-Saint-Paul] [you can go to a specific sequence using the links in the description] [Vlog 146] [I’m on the Charlevoix train A tourist train that runs along the Saint-River Laurent for 125 km between Quebec and La Malbaie] [(mountain side)] [(river side)] [After a 2h20 journey we arrive at Baie-Saint-Paul]

I arrived at Baie-Saint-Paul There it is train that brought me It’s the Charlevois train, it was really great So now we’re going to find the hotel So here we go! That’s it, I’m leaving the hotel So we’re going to go to the city center and we’re going to see what happens

So there I arrive at rue Saint Jean Baptiste It’s the main street of the city [end of the street here ] It’s great So I think these are posts Finally mailboxes You see, they are all grouped here for the whole neighborhood And so it saves the postman from going from house to house

So, suddenly, he put the mail here It’s funny Look, it’s really beautiful! Great Oh there look there’s a house there Great Wait let’s get closer It’s the Halloween decorations It’s great It’s excellent! Look it’s great It’s beautiful

So here we are in a slightly more residential area, we move away a little bit from the city and at the end apparently there would be a beach So we’re going to go and see Look there, it There are still Halloween decorations It’s great! [I arrive at the edge of the river]

Look how magnificent it is It’s superb We’re reaching the end With the beach in the distance over there It’s great I don’t know how far it goes but we’re going to go see Oh my It’s beautiful It’s fantastic, I don’t know what else to say Honestly It’s breathtaking

There you go, there’s a natural barrier There’s a tree trunk So we’re going to stop here for this evening It’s already really great We had a nice walk So what’s next: tomorrow [the next morning, early] So I suggest we go back to the beach

Because I saw a grove yesterday and so it there are quite a few trails to do So we’re going to go for a little walk And then you may be surprised why I’m on rails In fact my owner told me that it wasn’t very far

You just had to walk along rails and we had direct access to the bay So look, there you go, I’m on the rails And so it’s early in the morning and look, there’s a superb fog It’s great So we walk along the rails and we’re going to see

Here we arrive at the grove there on the left and on the right it is the river and the beach [(its name: Le Parc Boisé du Quai)] Everything is white, so listen we will see Maybe it will be pretty with the fog Here I wanted to let you listen, it’s super nice

It’s like an animal documentary I find the noise there nice, it’s super relaxing Well, there you go, we’re at the beach With the fog it doesn’t make anything more since the fog is all the way back there So we’re going to try to find these paths there We’re going to go and see

[I saw a squirrel passing by, I’m looking for it] It’s there look, can you see it? Wait, I’m going to zoom in on you. Is he handsome? So cute And there we go back to the beach It’s beautiful with the fog We’re going to try to walk a little along there, we’ll see

It’s great I’m all alone too I came back here on the pontoon with the fog is superb! With a seagull there on the lamppost, I don’t know if you see? I think we’re going to go to a park that I saw in the city We’re going to see what that’s like

So I’m on my way back there and I said to myself that I was going to do a little information point on the city So we are here in the Charlevoix region and this small town of 7000 inhabitants is its capital

So originally it is a small village which developed from the middle of the 17th century at the bottom of a bay . first named Saint-Pierre then Saint-Paul and then La Baie de Saint-Paul in 1845 and finally in 1964 we simplified everything and simply named it Baie-Saint-Paul

Then it was also named capital cultural heritage of Canada in 2007 and the rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste there that we saw yesterday which is its main street was the subject of a restoration program for these historic buildings in 1980 then another in 2000 Here you go know everything!

I always find it interesting to have little information about where we are Oh look at these red leaves on the ground It’s super pretty! [I finally arrive at the Park It’s the Parc du Gouffre] There are the paths there So we’re going to go and see

You see there’s the river there It’s super beautiful So I saw on the map that ‘there was a lake So we’re going to try to find it So the lake is on the right but we can’t see it, we only see it between the foliage

I’m going to try to find a place where we can land I’m going back to back because… because in fact we can’t access the lake So I’m going to try to find a way It’s still crazy! There is a sublime lake and you can’t see it! [the lake is here]

[I found a small path] This is a path that leads to the field I’m going to try to go around I’m going to walk in the field Oh my! Forget it You see, look, it’s magnificent But we can’t get close to it so it’s great! Ah there there is an opening Look Superb

We are at the very end of the lake there It’s magnificent! Finally Phew! It was hard to find So I don’t know if I advise you to come here because it’s inaccessible but if you get there it’s great I got there so you can get there

So I’m going to take advantage of it to give you my little conclusion and give you my opinion on Baie-Saint-Paul So if you can come with the train from Charlevoix, like me, it’s great because it’s really breathtaking landscapes

So the city is really great , it’s really very relaxing, it’s a super nice little town. The small downside is that there are still a lot of cars on the main street and especially in the town center. I find that it’s is really too much

So I know I hate cars but this is really a lot, it should be pedestrian, it’s a shame You can take all the walks we did, there along the beach, the little woods and even the trails of Parc du Gouffre, it’s really great

So tomorrow I’m taking my bus to go to La Malbaie So I’ll see you very soon and the rest in the next episode [I saw something move.. .] There’s a groundhog there! Look, look, there’s a marmot. Do you see it or not? Oh dear ! Crazy stuff!

Well, she comes in every time I come forward So too bad In any case it’s a great meeting [to be continued…] Oh look! It feels like Disney It’s great! At Chantal’s I love it Ah yes, look, it’s great I’m laughing because there’s no water but it’s still very beautiful

Oh my! Look how beautiful it is there [In the following vlog, discover La Malbaie with me] [to be continued…] [If you liked it, don’t hesitate to subscribe to encourage me, by clicking here Or do a small donation to support me (link in description)]
