Everything I Ate At Chinatown Food Centre in Singapore ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

Today we’re going to be eating at the Chinatown complex just behind me we hear there is plenty of traditional food there really delicious traditional food here in Singapore first up guys we are going to be eating at this place it’s

Called Hawker Chan and I think it’s very popular for its pork and chicken rice and noodles you can see you’ve got the chickens just over here you got Fork just there looks really really good now the interesting thing is there is a

Queue so there’s a system there’s a queue going around here and then they go to the queue just over here so we’ll go around you can see the queue we go all the way to the back and Karolina is just here right at

The back of the queue let’s calculate the waiting time yeah it’s 10:41 so we’ll let you know when we get there can we get one roasted pork rice and one uh charu noodle okay any spicy for your noodle uh yeah a little bit spicy

All right guys so we have made it to the front it took about around like 20 minutes 20 minutes not bad from all the way there the queue is literally like this the entire time I can see some f dripping oh look at that wow uh how much

Is $8 8 $8 okay eight Singapore dollars change yeah we need to break some change so we need to get some sauces I think you can see now guys look at the look at the meat looks so good this is the pork chopping it back she’s chopping it up

Just in the back oh my God my mouth is watering okay we take the sauces all right so we got tray here ooh look at this WOW Char Siew noodles all right let’s get some sauage car so there’s actually sure you can uh help me out here got some kind of chili

Chili sauce and the pork has arrived I think maybe get some of this jell it’s like a jalapeno sauce and the black sauce 100% and let’s get some Chopsticks do you want Chopsticks or do you want a Cutlery I want Chopsticks Chopsticks okay I think we can eat everything with

Chopsticks and maybe some black sauce I need sace like different ones maybe this is soy sauce and this is sweet black sauce sweet black sauce this is soy sauce yeah feel like an exer they’re working such a small space inside of

There and it’s very hot I can feel the heat coming off so they must have to drink a lot of water because otherwise they going be really dehydrated in that small space being like kind of in a sauna go all right let’s go we need to

Find some seating it is very busy let’s go around this way and show everyone uh how busy it is so we’ve come uh appropriate time around 11:00 in the morning and again more cues everywhere cues and trying to find table

As you can see there we’re going to have this later sha long bow we finally found a spot here in this complex it is absolutely chaotic there’s so many people here super crowded super hot but we have got our food over here we’re

Just opposite this place and so this is the Char and what I really love you can see the kind of caramelized fatty part of the uh meat on the end there it’s like kind of caramelized you got the kind of like wanton noodle uh some I

Think it’s like P Cho CH maybe yeah and then we’ve got the beautiful crispy pork my favorite type of pork because it’s juicy and fatty oh wow it’s like very thick very I think very fatty I would say okay It Go Somey w

Wow oh that is good this is so good this is the best Char Siew I’ve had in my life white succulent moist a little bit FY but it’s like melting in your mouth I’m not even choking like in between

There’s a party layer and I love the crispy skin I just love it it’s really good it’s a bit messy sometimes when you want to try the same time ah we have some audience so he just showed that you need to flip it ah you need to mix it mix mix mix

Mix you you mix like this first so Uncle told us to mix it up because actually there’s some sauce over here so you got to kind of mix up the noodles together otherwise you’re just getting noodle that’s like I don’t know

Why I didn’t think of that but uh let’s go and try this noodle out that’s why I’m a little bit embarrassed because the noodles now has all the sauce infused into it except we have my favorite type of pork the roasted crispy pork so got these beautiful pieces of pork there

You got a nice kind of layer of fat inside of there and what I love is the kind of roasted side just over there but then also on the other side it’s kind of like charcoal so do we mix this together what do you think I don’t know I think

That actually I think we should probably mix it together have a full mouthful of everything but I think we’re going to try the pork first so let’s give this a go the crunchiness from the kind of crispy skin it’s very crispy yeah like Kina said it melts in your mouth

Oh kind of sweet it’s sweet yeah sweet and this is I think Mung beans I don’t think they’re peanuts I think it’s m beans it’s not peanuts I I really is peanuts y but it’s kind of sweet the sauce and you got a kind of salty fattiness of the pork here

I actually really like the dish but I think it’s your type of meat more because it’s more fatty than chery I love my fatty pork the fat kind of gives it so much flavor you have the crispiness of the

Skin and it’s just like I can get addicted to this food to be honest going have this every day here in Singapore and how much did it cost for these it did cost only8 Singapore dollars like I was sh like for each eight Singapore

Dollars next up guys sha long bow so this place looks very popular and you can see again we have to queue up just around here this one is not so much of AQ this time around hello hello this is a good sha long bow yeah I don’t know

You know it’s your first time yeah but I saw you on the video oh on YouTube okay whereabouts are you from I’m here we’re from Singapore Singapore but this is your first time trying this place yeah okay I mean there’s a que so it must be

Good so you seen our videos uh so did you see our Singapore videos yes okay did you did you like them yeah okay awesome what was your name t tan tan okay shout out to tan oh God we love the locals here in

Singapore they’re so friendly literally since we landed we we’ve had such good interactions people have helped us people have bought us like food and uh they’re just I know very welcoming here in Singapore but right now we’re at the Shang Hai Fried Xiao Long Bao wow it’s very nice

Town enjoy yeah enjoy so I think uh with our sha long bowels we also need to have some sauces you got chili sauce I think this is ginger and I’ve seen people take this uh Plum vinegar and mix it in with the

Ginger I think that’s what we’re going to do but for the fried bowels you have to wait 40 to 60 minutes so it’s very very popular hello uh one shower long bow okay thank you that’s $5 for six

Pieces thank you thank you is okay if I uh show him cooking it uh making it yeah thank you I just put the money down oh is already ready there but you can see he’s making the are these are the fried bowels fried B for the fried bowels

These ones original original ones yeah and so these are fried like the so that’s the finished product over there uh this yeah okay and you have to wait a long time 40 60 Minutes uh 40 minutes 40 minutes okay awesome thank you so much with the sauces so we uh take

This we ready now uh sure let’s uh let’s go for it yeah let’s try it are these very popular uh five yeah we’ll try it yeah okay um how much $450 thank you okay thank you oh we got a trck yeah y That’s what she was saying thank you all right guys

We got even more food oh let’s go sit here perfect it looks free you got to take your seat when uh when you get the chance uh come this side I would say someone’s left a massive coconut it is very very uh hot

In this um in this complex it’s like a ha it’s pretty much a Haw Center but you have like fans just up there and that’s pretty much the only form of air conditioning so Karolina was feeling like she was going to faint because it’s

So hot very hot and also uh I think you can get groceries and like um fish and meats like in a wet Market here so you can sometimes smell like a kind of stench of fish this is the fried bow and this is the shower long bow yeah maybe I

Can get the chili sauce as well okay yeah you grab some of the sauces and I will set this up so I think these shower long boughs are soupy so I’m going to use we’re going to use the spoons and the Chopsticks lots of people around so

If we’re getting distracted it’s very humid in here as well my hair’s like falling apart bear with us yeah bear with us like there’s just so much craziness going on around us all right let’s go for it wow actually is very soupy so I’m going to maybe put it on

There and then maybe a bite I think yeah you you got it mhm there’s a nice I don’t know if you will see but there’s a nice Gro inside so I think that you need to drink it first and then actually maybe dip in the sauces mine didn’t have that much soup

In it that’s interesting you you also have quite a bit yeah yeah Oh that’s oh wait I’ve got some here at the bot maybe you lost it away yeah I actually didn’t have any inside of this one but there’s uh pork I think the nice thing is is you

Can this is a plum uh vinegar something like a plum vinegar with ginger I think get some of that pork oh wow it’s like a soy sauce I think but I can taste the plum you got mhm it’s way different for me peria loves plums and the ginger inside is very refreshing

So see mine kind of fell apart so Carolina’s had soup in mine didn’t it’s quite good it’s it’s like steamed so it’s very light but it’s um rich in flavor like because of the BR so the pork is very light very I don’t know

Very just delicious I don’t know how else to say it but it’s really tasty and I like that we have different sauces we’ve got like a a chili sauce just here and then we’ve got two of the plum sauces with ginger and how did the soup

Taste when it when you kind of went down like it’s a rich broth with um I don’t know like does it taste like a like a broth like a meaty broth like a meaty broth yes yes yes so usually uh that you have to wait 40 to 60 Minutes for these

Uh fried bowels or fried buns and I think because of the camera they had them ready for us uh pretty much instantaneously cuz they want to obviously Market their place but the chaang bows are really really tasty but

Do we have this with the sauce or I think I would have it with the maybe chili sauce the chili sauce yeah but it’s so nice how they look like like we need to just show it yeah like there’s it’s visible that they were fried so

There’s two layers as you can see so this one is more steamed this one is like fried because it was in a walk and then there’s the spring onions they had it in like this big pan that was kind of like almost I felt like it could rotate

Yeah and you can see oh oh oh there soupy in there as well okay let’s get this again I’ll try it with the chili oh wow wow M wow wow wow so there’s lots of sauce inside of there it’s very kind of it’s actually

More soupy than the one I had before yeah I I was expecting it just to be dry M but the taste is very stronger like it’s very seasoned inside I would say and it’s kind of like I don’t know more meaty

Oh this so good I love the texture because it’s it’s soft on this side on the bottom side crispy it’s like Crispy Crunchy I’m going to try it with a chili sauce it’s very good yeah I love it which one do you like more I thought

That I would like the steamed and long B more but this one is also very good like it’s they completely taste different spicy wow I like it it’s nice I think it compliments Each Other Well I like the fried one more I would say it’s kind of

Hard cuz I didn’t get the soup on the first one but they’re very different I think you can have both of them and you’ll be equally as happy satisfied yes now and it came up to 9 Singapore dollar 50

9.50 so 10 Singapore all this the other one was nine the other one was eight for both both of the dishes so it seems like a dish is around four or five Singapore dollars Chili’s gone down the back of my throat but yeah like or centers in

Singapore need to be protected at all costs because you can get the best food at the cheapest rates in hogus centers actually the food in ha centers I find better than the expensive stuff that you find out in the restaurants in Singapore

There is a reason for it why people are queing there’s so many people here next up we need to get some drinks cuz it’s super hot and I’m feeling very kind of laded probably dehydrated well we’ve come to this place enjoy the goodness of

Freshly made soy products hello hello uh one soy milk you want cold uh cold cold please so I’m assuming this is the soy milk this is a setup in the back there you go thank you thank you it’s coming out there we go thank you okay thank you uh we need a STW

Perfect this so it’s so there is no other option like me getting a coffee when in Singapore so as you can see we are at this place 1950s coffee and we are making it a very Tradition Way so I look forward to it

But we need to actually c a little bit is just right there so now we’re just in the queue waiting for the coffee our friend you said the coffee was very good right yeah good and you said that you from Singapore yes so you say that when

There’s cues you know there’s going to be good food espe the local queuing for the F the local queuing for the food okay thank you hello uh one copy o one t here uh here yes see guys this is

The area where they’re making the C that looks like I wanted copy o what said Kopi-O uh black one black one yes Kopi-O uh and do you want any no sugar no sugar Coffee o and tea yeah all right so he’s adding some condensed

Milk oh this is the tea look at that wow so he’s got it all in there and this is the coffee beautiful he’s topping up with some I guess it’s is that hot water yeah okay $27 all right thank you thank you before we get into these drinks I just want to

Say a big thank you to Mike and Lori who bought us five drinks on buy me a coffee and said it was so nice to meet you on the boat in halong Bay enjoy your Travis so we had such a great time with you guys and thank you so much for donating

Because it means a lot for us the American Entourage if you watch a how long bay video you’ll see them in that they feature quite a few times in the video which is which is quite funny uh but we met them right at the beginning

Um as we were we actually met them in Hanoi taking a bus to halong and then uh we went onto the boat and they were very nice and it was just it was just really nice cuz they donated some drinks and we just didn’t expect

So when we got the message we like oh that’s very very thoughtful but thank you so much Mike & Lori for these drinks let’s try them out all right ooh ooh that is a very good tea very very good is it strong mhm my coffee is very

Strong it’s like black Coffee it’s like um it tastes like English tea but with a bit of sweetness to it and it’s got a strong um spices I would say but not it’s not spicy it’s just got a strong sorry strong tea flavor yeah I

Think you need to mix it you had the spoon is that is that what it’s so funny I think it is yeah to mix maybe the condensed milk at the bottom yeah he added condensed milk and as well like a little bit of evaporated milk which is

Making it thicker I think whatever it is is really good tea was your coffee good yeah it’s it’s quite strong but I like it I love also the cup like it’s just yeah I like the cup everywhere like this served in

Singapore like I really really like it it’s like traditional if they serve it in like kind of paper cups kind of loses its like Essence that funny so we had a little break from eating food because we can’t just constantly be eating food so

You might see my hair is wet because it keeps raining every single evening here so we’ve come now to a hese chicken rice Place could I get the large chicken rice yes uh just one okay yeah Okay g is getting the sauces out we got the

Chickens ready to cut up right here and uh you can see there’s a lot of chickens in like a little pot there got the rice is over there so this is a chili sauce CH I put there the garlic and garlic this one

Just looks like pure no this is ging Ginger garli Ginger Ginger gar I think it’s ginger and garlic more Ginger 4 a 4 a there you go my friend it’s for YouTube H this is for YouTube YouTube no problem what is this sauce here uh o you

Got oce chicken oil chicken oil nice sauce and the soy sauce all right thank you thank you we have the hese chicken rice it looks very simple it’s got the kind of chicken stock sauce over there you got some vegetables we got a black

Sauce Chell sauce Ginger and maybe some garlic all right let’s set this up hello the uh Singaporean people are very friendly always smiling all right so let’s get the Chopsticks all right Chopsticks ready there we go hairs looking all right right do you want to just go for

The chicken and then maybe dip it into your choice of sauce so you got very simple this one chicken and maybe I’m going to dip it into you want to dip it into this one as well put it like straight to the top

Yeah it’s okay there we go we take the chili as usual wow wow it’s strong strong this is a really strong Ginger kind of sauce here some people thought say that we need to mix the sauces together the

Chili is very strong too it was uh it was Russell he said it was subjective and uh this is why it’s so easy to live Singapore uh he said that mixing the sauces into the hese chicken is preference I personally prefer to mix it

All in and I like to dip it so maybe we can make a section make a section I’m going to put some so do you want to add some sauces for me or should you hold that I’ll have the sauces to the viewers so you got some

Black sauce I like to add a bit of black sauce to give a bit of sweetness there we go and we’ll have some chili the like that and actually the ginger is this is the strongest Ginger I’ve had

With Hainanese Chicken Rice we’re going to mix it up like that all right I really like the sauces goes really well with it I’m going to mix that all up get some of that chicken involved just in there maybe some of that salad all right let’s try this

Out there’s actually a lot of people uh going by right now you can see we’re turn light that wondering why we’re talking to the camera okay but everyone is smiling yeah so we’ve almost finished our chicken rice and to be

Honest the flavors weren’t really there for me they were very it was quite Bland I would say even with the sauces I think we’ve had much better hes chicken rice in in multiple places this one is very simple a little bit Bland I would say

Like I feel like the rice there’s not much flavor in the rice I feel like they might have actually added the the chicken fat stock afterwards maybe but we just want to be honest with you guys and tell you how it is and um you know

It’s less than $5 so from the price point maybe it is what it is but I feel like you can get I’d rather pay an extra dollar or two for uh you know a more flavor beautiful hese chicken rice again we are standing in a queue you can see

Quebe behind me in front of me and we’re at this place called g g Mii and we’ve seen these kind of rice packages where they wrap the banana Lea around and we’ve also seen conji so chicken porridge we love it so yeah we’re

Literally binging on Foods today For Your Entertainment we needed to do some steps here in Singapore so that’s what we’re going to be doing oh hello that’s where are you oh no problem no problem no problem res is this a popular place uh have you been here before yeah what is the most

Popular thing to get yam cake dumpling porridge and the dumplings okay The Dumpling it’s really nice The Dumpling which one the Nona or the pork rice dumpling uh I the pork rice dumpling you prefer the pork rice dumpling hello can I get the shredded chicken porridge eat here eat in yes and also

The Nyonya dumpling you can see the packages yeah you can try both you can try both see which one you like oh cuz your favorite one’s the POR price oh okay maybe should we try both okay I’ll ask her is this uh you like the shredded

Chicken porridge as well oh yeah could we go for instead of the na could we go for the pork uh rice dumpling just one we’re going for the pork rice dumpling what are you having I having is with with saled egg with saled egg okay

I trust you you can try are you from Singapore yes okay so you got to ask the the local for the best advice quite popular and the uh the say conji yes coni the shredded chicken porridge you can see she’s opening up

Now and they’re in these little packages around here just cutting them up for us chce a little bit of chili sauce okay there we go all right 7.50 yeah thank you thank you thank you for your help you too a tray I think cuz it’s

Very hot oh yep I’ll uh oops there we go and the Chopsticks it’s close thank you so much all right let’s go again on the hunt for a table so again we finally found a seat with at least decent lighting you can

See the light lighting in the background is very very dark I know I’ve said it in this video but usually when we go to Haw centers it’s usually really lit up but it feels kind of I don’t know kind of gray and dark inside of here all right

First up shredded chicken porridge we’ve got two spoons yeah she added the second one and uh do we mix there’s some kind of maybe fried shallots on top yeah maybe we have to mix it in cuz I think they add some kind of uh maybe soy sauce to it as

Well what was that meat yeah there’s shreded chicken oh yeah that’s a chicken okay so I’ve got just porridge ooh wow that’s very hot wow so much flavor in it got a piece of chicken here I can tell you this is a very good

Congee super warm and um there’s lots of flavor inside of this uh conry let’s try the chicken it’s very thick like creamy I really like it I love it when the food’s piping hot mhm if it’s lukewarm kind of destroys the meal for me mhm it adds a flavor very

Nice wow that was very nice now the Wild Card this what was this called again the pork rice dumping so this is we’ve never tried anything like this before and there’s some sauces here which I guess you have to mix it in with so or maybe dip yeah maybe dip it

In and she’s cut it up into these kind of more manageable portions but it’s very sticky wow how sticky it is good for it so you can see the sticky rice and then there’s pieces of shredded kind of

Pork in there I don’t know with the sauces is what we should do but I’m just going to mix them all in it’s very dark this well oh all right let’s get this into our mouth o there’s salted egg in here M so in

Terms of this rice dumpling like it’s I like the rice because it’s like a sticky rice but because of the sauces like it’s very strong flavor which is overpowering the the rice probably that’s the purpose of it but I’m not sure if I would order

It again like it’s tasty but maybe not like for my palette I think the sauces are like chili sauces but for me the the flavors are quite intense on this one it is dessert time and not too far from where we were sitting we found this

Place called ah boiling peanut soup so I think you can get these different flavors and you can have them in different kind of soups hello uh can I get three pieces peanut and sesame uh and two peanuts okay in the you want peanut uh Peanut’s got the

Like sign so I think it’s a good one yeah uh eat here yes and and for me to I have also three pieces but red bean yum and matcha in almond milk okay you see they’ve got these signs up for the best foods Singapore Best Foods enjoy top

Rated Foods how long have you been doing this for 20 years wow see the generation third generation okay wow but here only 3 years PR three years in this area and this uh Center for 20 years in total wow okay over here uh let’s get the

Tray and some spoons over there oh yeah is warm was expecting that piping hot and spoons oh you got peanut and you went for almond yeah all right we Lally went you went for peanut Sesame and I went for de

Free okay on the hunt again for some seating let’s see some patches of lighting about there is some lighting here but it’s still very dark inside of it so it’s quite strange actually still looking for seating with lighting see it’s very very challenging

Here uh I think maybe over here we’re looking for some lamps like this but always the seats are taken it’s uh not an issue of uh seating it’s an issue of lighting there’s plenty of seats ah okay I think we’ve come to a

Good area maybe over here would be good I think we can sit over here yeah all right let’s uh you balanced it well you didn’t spill any of it we pretty much crossed the entire porker Center just to find nice lighting it’s probably one of the most

Challenging ha Center videos we had to film we were not expecting this all right so we have got almond milk soup and we’ve got the Almond uh well this sorry this is a peanut almond peanut so I was not expecting it to be hot I was expecting it to be

Cold but uh it looks like you have these kind of like Moi balls just like this and I think uh do you have different colors really like mine like You’ got different colors yeah matcha is green I think yam is oh it’s creamy mine are all

The same all right let’s give this a go don’t want to burn myself M oh wow this is so good we had something similar in Taiwan basically it’s like these kind of warm Mochi ballls with the Sesame I’ve got Sesame and peanut but this one

Is a sesame one and the soup itself is uh peeny and mine like the Yum is very sweet but the soup is almondy but it’s more like maripom like the taste but it’s it’s a bit sweet but it’s not

Overly sweet it’s so good I’m really happy I really like this and it’s really hot in this hog Center so it’s kind of like oh my God I had hot soup now but so delicious let try some of this peanut kind of soup the peanuts are like mushy the soup

Itself it’s kind of like simple in flavor I don’t know if you notice but both of us we are like all the time with this dessert I think we really enjoy it and then I’ve got a peanut one let’s try buy into this

One o m you see the peanut kind of spills out like that wow the peanut one is really good you’re going to have this when you come to this Hawker Centre it’s really good so we have left the Chinatown complex there’s a lot of noise happening

In the background but our bellies are absolutely full so we have to leave because here in Singapore the food is very addictive so we can just keep eating and eating we need to save space because we’re making more food videos

Here in Singapore obviously because it’s the thing to do it’s a part of the culture um how did you enjoy your food I loved it and if you’re not doing this in Singapore you’re doing things wrong all right guys so actually I want to quickly

Show you this usually I don’t do this but look at these beautiful lanterns right now cuz the Chinese new year is coming up very shortly you see everything’s lit up anyways guys if you enjoy this video do not forget to subscribe we’ll see you guys in the next video

  1. If you are still in Singapore, don't miss the golden opportunity to visit bazaar Ramadan @Gelang Serai.. Lots of food in one concentrated area. You will get to experience the Malay and Muslim culture there.

  2. Best thing about Singapore nowadays is that almost all hawkers speaks conversational English ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. Not many foreigners know that chicken rice will taste much better with premium chicken parts other than the breast meat which is quite bland. It will cost more though.

  4. Hawker Chan..good that you went to the original stall rather than the restaurant at a nearby street. I always get indecisive at this hawker center….too many choices…….. There are a total of 3 hawker centers in that area…..

  5. Appreciate tourists coming to Singapore but sometimes i wished they explore the malay culture here as well. Itโ€™s always being overlooked.

  6. For congee or porridge, you can actually just scope the top layer just on the inside edge of the bowl in a circular motion to get a spoonful that is lukewarm.

  7. I like my glutinous rice dumpling (Bak Zhang) without chili or any sauce. When I try a new food, I eat it on its own first, then I would try to dip it into the sauce and see which one I prefer. That stall's chili sauce is too overpowering for me. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Good energy and vibe videos. I subed

  8. really do not fancy the way he is treating her. please help her out when you can, sheโ€™s your partner

  9. Chinatown hawker is where a place my family and I have Sunday breakfast. Since my sisters and I was little girl. Some stalls still remain, some no longer there. The congee and stir fried Bee Hoon stall is one of the stall my family and I once a while will get breakfast. Usually we go to the stall just mainly selling difference type of congee. The stall located right at the corner as look over could see the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.

  10. Guys, I cannot stress this enough even though someone has already commented on this – Please be mindful that all the trays and tables are full of bacteria. So, please do not place your spoons & forks on them (or your arms or mobile phones)
