【山口旅行】ふらり、夏の山口旅行 #1【vlog】

Good morning. This time, it was a spontaneous trip. Today I would like to go to Yamaguchi Prefecture. What can you encounter in Yamaguchi? I’m really looking forward to it! We have arrived at Yamaguchi! The weather was a bit cloudy… Actually, at this time, a typhoon was approaching Yamaguchi.

I hope the typhoon doesn’t hit me during my trip. Well, first, let’s head to Shin-Yamaguchi Station from the airport. Arrived at Shin-Yamaguchi Station! After that, we will head to our destination, Shin-Iwakuni. Take a bus from Shin-Iwakuni and arrive at your destination! It was almost noon, so

I thought I’d fill up before sightseeing. Apparently there is a local dish called “Iwakuni sushi” in this area , so let’s try it. It’s Iwakuni Sushi! I see, it’s a type of pressed sushi. It has a simple taste and is delicious! Iwakuni sushi

Seems to have its origins in the Iwakuni clan, who created it as a preserved food in preparation for battle . Thank you for the meal, it was delicious! I came to Kintai Bridge! Kintaikyo Bridge is a wooden bridge with a distinctive five arches

That spans the Nishiki River in Iwakuni City. The 5 arches are very beautiful. Kintaikyo Bridge is one of Japan’s most representative wooden bridges, and is considered one of Japan’s three most famous bridges and one of Japan’s three most unique bridges. And this bridge was built without using a single nail!

The parts of the bridge where people cross are held together with Japanese nails, but the main structural parts that give the bridge its shape don’t use a single nail! This bridge was created using the sophisticated technique of kumiki, which combines wood with wood, and is not only beautiful

But also surprisingly structurally strong! Wooden bridges with unique arch structures like Kintai Bridge are extremely rare in the world, and are wonderful bridges created by the passion and skill of our predecessors ! It’s a beautiful bridge no matter what angle you look at it, so it’s a must-see spot

When you visit Iwakuni . Well, Kintai Bridge is famous in Iwakuni, but it would be a waste to just cross the bridge and go home. Let’s explore the surrounding spots together! Kikko Park is a park built on the site of the residence of the former Iwakuni feudal lord, the Kikkawa family.

The park is home to the former auditorium of the former Iwakuni Junior High School and the Kikkawa Museum, which stores the cultural assets of the Kikkawa family, making it a park where you can feel the history of Iwakuni. There is also a mountain castle called Iwakuni Castle nearby, which

You can easily reach by using the ropeway. After getting off, it’s a short walk to the top of the mountain. It’s Iwakuni Castle! This is the first time I’ve seen a “yamashiro,” which is a castle on top of a mountain. It’s small and cute.

Unlike castles on the plains, during peacetime when there was no war, the castle lord did not stay at the castle, but lived in a residence built at the foot of the mountain, and in the event of a war, he would enter Iwakuni Castle.

A variety of swords and armor are on display inside the castle. It is a castle tower. Oh, what a wonderful view! The wind feels nice… I’m glad I came to Iwakuni Castle. It was an impressive castle, perhaps because it was located on top of a mountain! Descend by ropeway again.

Now that we have enjoyed Iwakuni, it’s time to head to our accommodation. Now let’s move on to our accommodation for today. Today’s accommodation is Yuda Onsen. Since I left my luggage at Shin-Yamaguchi, I headed to Yuda Onsen via Shin-Yamaguchi. I arrived at Yuda Onsen Station. There’s a big fox! !

Wow, it has an amazing presence. There’s a fox post here! What is this mysterious fox fan? I’m curious, so let’s look into it. …… I see. Apparently, there is a legend about Yuda Onsen. A long time ago, a monk at a temple at the foot of the mountain discovered

A white fox healing its wounds in a hot spring. This is the origin of Yuda Onsen. And it seems that it is called “White Fox Hot Spring” because of this legend. Regardless of whether it’s true or false, it’s an interesting story. Well, in the meantime, we were getting closer to today’s inn.

This time I stayed at “Super Hotel Yamaguchi Yuda Onsen”. There is a 100% natural hot spring here, and the appeal is that you can enjoy Yuda Onsen’s “White Fox Hot Spring” even at the hotel ! Now, after checking in, let’s go eat dinner! This time, I visited “Ajiwaidokoro Akagi” !

It was hot today, so let’s start with tomatoes. Fried tofu is something I always order when I have it. It’s a local sake in Yamaguchi, and its name comes from Kintaikyo Bridge. Perfect to drink today! And it’s delicious! After all, when I travel, I want to eat local food.

All kinds of fish are fresh and very delicious! Hmm, no matter what I eat, it’s delicious. Looks like you’ve found a good shop. The ochazuke is also delicious. Thank you for the meal, “Ajiwaidokoro Akagi”! I was having so much fun that I ended up going to the second restaurant.

And just like that, the night of my first day in Yamaguchi was drawing to a close… How was your first day of traveling to Yamaguchi? I hope you enjoyed it. See you again in the second day’s video. Thank you for your viewing.
