My New Favorite Business Class | Cathay Pacific LAX-HKG
Hello! Welcome back to my channel 🙂 Today, we will be flying Cathay Pacific business class from Los Angeles to Hong Kong Shaun: Jessica, keep walking As you can see, Jessica is quite excited for this trip Before this 16-hour long-haul flight,
We stopped by the Oneworld Business Class Lounge at LAX to grab some food The food was good enough, but wasn’t amazing Although they have a few entrees, most of them are cold salads Does anyone else also hate nuts in their cake? Quite a few options for wine as well
Let’s take a look at their bathroom! Very minimalist and clean I love taking super hot showers before flights to get cozy Shaun: Jessica, first time flying Cathay Jessica: Your first time flying Cathay? Shaun: It’s my first time flying Cathay The business class seat on this flight is a 1-2-1 configuration
We both got window seats this time Seems like Jessica is happy with her seat The seat has ample legroom Shortly after boarding, we were greeted with a pre-flight drink Since it is a long flight, slippers are provided They’re so comfortable and high-quality This flight uses the best bedding This is a Bamford pillow,
Soft yet supportive The size of this TV is pretty standard for business class On the left of my seat, there’s a spacious storage unit This is super helpful for long-haul flights Moving onto the seat control panel, I find this light very helpful throughout the flight There are many adjustments for the seat
By the window, there’s another storage compartment The essentials We can pre-order breakfast before take-off, then hook it up like this They handed out hot towels later How refreshing! A little sneak peek of the amenity kit, which I will show you in detail again later Are you ready for take off?? Bye bye LA! See you in a few weeks! It was nighttime when we took off, so we were served dinner first
The inflight menu has both oriental and Western options Jessica and I are vegetarians, so we really appreciate Cathay having vegetarian options for every meal, although this is usually not the case for economy class We started off with this giant dinner roll paired with some extra virgin olive oil
I got the gnocchi with slow-roasted tomato sauce The crumbled feta cheese is very flavorful, so good with the pasta Let’s see what Jessica is doing She is watching Puss in Boots while enjoying her cream of mushroom soup For dessert, I’m having a little charcuterie board, fruit platter, and chocolate mousse
Can’t go wrong with the grape and cheese combo The mousse has caramel and milk chocolate I love its rich and creamy texture! Another small fruit plate Cold fruits always taste so refreshing when I feel dehydrated on a plane Before I go to sleep, let me also show you the lavatory
A pretty average bathroom to be honest, although I do like the Bamford toiletries This is the Bamford amenity kit for the business class It has a sleep mask, 3M earplugs in case there’s a crying baby, some made-in-Japan mouthwash, a dental kit, and my favorite part: Bamford products,
Including a hand and body lotion, hydrating face mist, and botanic lip balm I saw someone selling the exact same kit on eBay for 30 USD After a hearty meal, it’s time for a nap Let’s make the bed together My favorite part about the flight is not the food, not the service,
But the bedding This comforter isn’t a regular plane blanket, it has the softest duvet, and it’s thick just like a hotel comforter Voilà I genuinely think the bedding beats any other business class I have ever flown The one complaint I have is that even when the bed is adjusted to fully lie flat,
I still feel a very subtle raised, flat bar sticking out near my waist, but it isn’t that noticeable The bed has plenty of legroom also The flight attendants then handed out piping hot towels again Ok I’m ready for bed now I’ll see you in a few hours Good morning!
That was my best sleep on a plane And it’s now breakfast time I’m having a lighter breakfast today Need to save room for the good food in Hong Kong I’m having mixed berry chia seed pudding and some fruits Jessica ordered some pastry and the Croque monsieur waffle,
Then realized the waffle has meat in it so we can’t have it However, the pastry is so delicious They’re flaky and buttery Not sure what the one on the left is, it has a sweet and savory filling that I have never tried A little under two more hours to go Let’s watch TV
This TV is very slow and laggy, and the delay is quite annoying But the options are not bad I also tried switching to the remote, but still laggy Then I gave up haha For business class, they gave out actual headphones, which I much prefer It’s almost time to land!
It’s been a long 16-hour flight, but having a fully lie-flat bed makes it much easier I get excited every time I see the Hong Kong skyline Anyways, thank you for being on this journey with me! If you enjoyed the video, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe I’ll see you next time!

Quite nice!
I don't even see any HKG business from Asia Miles now.
Why still masks
Outdated cabin/pods , poorly maintained… wouldn't even make top 10 on my list..
