The capital city of Tino du a currently serves 10 International destinations and three domestic destinations within Bhutan connecting the country to the rest of the world 220 now and we are preparing to check into our flight to so the flight from Tuan Bui airport Bangkok to Paro is

At 5:00 a.m. in the morning we will actually reach bhan at 7:00 a.m. in the morning so basically we have day one the entire day one to and we also felt like we wanted to break up the trip a little bit instead of taking a whole fles 5

Hours flight from Singapore to p just book it up so you can drive the checked baggage allowances on International Dr air flights are 30 kg for economy class and 40 kg for business class busy Mr PE waiting to go onto our plane waiting to sleep we are going to bought this shut

Bus shut bus to bring us to our plane foreign tourists will need a visa to clear immigration into Bhutan except for Indian Bangladeshi maldivian Nationals or or holders of diplomatic or official passport of Thai or swiss Nationals we took the Airbus a319 aircraft from Bangkok to parro the Airbus a319 is a

Member of the Airbus A320 family of short to medium range narrow body commercial passenger twin engine jet airliners manufactured by Airbus the a219 carries 124 256 passengers and has a maximum range of 6,900 k km the seats are arranged in a 33 configuration you will be treated to an extremely Scenic flight with views of the stunning Himalayan Mountains be sure to request for window seats on the left

Side of the aircraft when flying in to parro from Bangkok the tray table is basic and can be extended slightly towards you Lake space for 1.6 M Asian is sufficient however it becomes a problem the moment the passenger in front of you reclines their seat in the seats pocket

You’ll find a few safety information brochures and the Bhutan magazine you can even ask for a copy of the Bhutan newspaper from the stewards although there is no inflight entertainment screen you can connect to the inflight Wi-Fi and access the provider entertainment online using your mobile Devices they are options for movies music TV shows games and online dutyfree shop back to on to the once we have that uh we’ll be pushing back for departure of Runway 0 right from back there making a left out of I’m up what’s an oh hey jelly Vlog without a

Toilet tour because I was seated at the window seat going to the washroom was inconvenient especially since it was a full flight light I gave Mr P the mission of doing a toilet t on my behalf and he came back with a 10 seconds toilet T footage please enjoy standard typical toilet setup

That’s got hot and cold water but look at this this is nice it’s a little flower arrangement that’s meals were served about an hour after takeoff and as you can tell Mr P had just woken up from his nap it’s kind of tough on the steart and steers to

Serve meals while we were going through m you can even notice them wobbling a little considering that it’s an airplane meal I must say that it is quite delicious Mr P opted for the tomato pasta well I went for the Standard English breakfast set consisting of eggs

Potato wedges a sausage and some spinach the meal also came with a small cup of yogurt jam and butter for the croon and assortment of fruits living up to the reputation of being sustainable The Cutlery we were given is made up of natural birch wood inside the same packet you will find

Salt and Pepper condiments you may notice that the camera keeps shaking that’s because there was a considerable amount of turbulence on this flight route our trades were shifting on the trade table while we ate and we had to drink our beverages until it was about half cup

Just to avoid spillage if you are one who gets anxious nausea and nervous during turbulence you may want to take note of this and take necessary precautions to prep for the flight since we are on the topic of mes on this was what we were served for lunch from parro

Back to Bangkok rice with chicken and vegetables there was also a site of CH pasta salad a bread bun and brownie for dessert we watched the sunrise turn into Daybreak on our flight into parro it was mesmerizing to observe the change in scenery outside our little window as the

Minutes went by as we approached parro airport we saw more Mountains and we started flying above clouds then in between clouds and then above clouds again the changes in to do and air pressure was making my ears pop Nonstop we will go on to see this view four more times due to repeated fileld Landing attempts and poor visibility the cabin music was also really hypnotic and sleep inducing I kept drifting in and out of sleep while the pilot tried to land the plane here’s a soundbite of the Music Ladies and gentlemen while we arriving at B International Airport please Ure that your SE Bel is securely fast the table is folded by the is right and your window is open for for your information the local time is 37 minutes 7 in the morning and the temperature outside is

7° C generally the pilot will Circle this m mountain and if visibility is so poor that they cannot see the airport’s Runway the pilot will then gain altitude and pull us back up above the clouds Circle the mountain and try Again where I can see the light with my own FL Captain once again break very low Cloud over and we south of and we about 30 minutes and as the sun comes up should help and continue the pilot say that we were unable to break the club C because it

Was too dense so they need to wait for the sun to come up Let the clubs disit then they will try again so right now we are hovering around the south of we enter again I’m not complaining though check out the snowcapped mountains a few inches later we’ll be

Arriving at l l b International Airport k for your information the local time is 41 minutes 7 in the morning thank you anded so B news we are even read a all five times and I think the plane is running out few so we are making a temporary diversion stop to an India

Airport this nearby so that the weather can clear up and we can ref at the same time cost us a day I think and I’m not too sure what the travel disruptions are not covers anything but it mean that we may be some but it does mean that we checked

Our FIRST TIME taking DRUKAIR and our FIRST TIME to BHUTAN! We flew into one of the world’s most dangerous airport – Paro International Airport – from Bangkok.

Did you know? According to Forbes, a few factors make the approach particularly dangerous, including the steep 45-degree turn into the runway – which the pilots can’t even see until moments before dropping onto the airfield! No wonder our Captain was making these crazy turns in the air which I’ve never experienced on another commercial flight elsewhere! :O

Apparently, only 24 pilots are certified and allowed to land at Paro International Airport. *mind-blown*

Feel free to drop your questions and/or comments below and we’ll do our best to get back to you!

  1. Good video you 2. What a bummer making so many attempts. Safety first. I'm coming to SG tomorrow 🙂

  2. Hi Jelly and Mr. P, Hurray! Start of journey to Bhutan. Wow there are a lot of passengers on the plane. Looks like you had a better flight than your previous one on Gulf Air despite the diversion. I think the view of the mountains is stunning. Did you get any altitude sickness when you arrive at Paro International Airport? I read Paro International Airport is 2,235 m above sea level. 11:59 No Food No Life Just Eat it.

  3. @0:34 –> Mr P's influence is clear. Here we go!
@2:45 –> Our guide Kinley shared with us that flights enter Bhutan via two directions, depending on weather conditions (we saw the plane fly in from the right at the viewpoint but it could enter by the left). Either way, the plan will make a sharp left turn as it enters into the valley, so be sure to ask for the left window spot for the best views. There is a reason why only 24 pilots are qualified to fly this route
@4:02 –> toilet tour is short and sweet, but hello there oheyjelly toilet mascot
@9:03 –> to share, we didn't check off India, because we weren't allowed off the plane so we technically didn't step foot into the country.
@11:30 –> Internet connection speeds are fast at major spots, and sim card is cheap. There is also an atm near the luggage carousel to withdrew ngultrum.

Drukair provided the basic comforts, and admiring the landscape views from the plane made the lengthened journey more bearable. Post-trip, we thought breaking the flight up made sense, because 6hours from SG–> Bhutan may just be too much with this plane model. Hope our vlog helps to provide a flight sensing, happy travels!
