【福岡観光(日帰り)】折尾駅散策｢今しか歩けない!!高架＆トンネルウォーク｣※2019.2.24
Walking around Orio Station “You can only walk now!! Elevated & Tunnel Walk” – around Horikawa-cho, Yahatanishi Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture – Today, February 24, 2019 (Sunday, February 24, 2019), in Yahatanishi Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. I’m going to take a walk to Orio Station.
Head to Kyushu Railway’s Orio Station in Horikawa-cho, Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu City. The purpose is to participate in an event associated with the elevation of the main station. The event is called “You can only walk now!! Orio Station Chikuho Main Line Elevated & Tunnel Walk”, and it will be an event where you will walk along the Orio Station elevated line and tunnel before the elevated line changes. I’m looking forward to it.

(Participation is free) Course steps are: Orio Station North Exit [Start] ⇒ Orio Station Elevated & Tunnel Walk (approx. 1.2 km) ⇒ Old Orio Police Station Building ⇒ Orio Aishin Gakuen [Goal] *Local event (9:30-13: 30) → (15 minutes walk) → Orio Station It’s almost your turn for guidance.
Let’s move on. Head towards Orio Station. “Helmets” are available for rent. (I’m wearing it) I arrived at Orio Station North Exit (Entrance). (10:25am) “Orio Station” has been reborn. Now, it seems to be the Orio Aishin Gakuen Memorial Hall (former Orio Police Station building). This is an event venue. A model of the “Old Orio Station Building” is on sale.
JR related keychains are also on sale. There are also many stalls. It looks delicious. (There are a lot of people) It looks fun. Orio Police Station and Orio Crime Prevention Association have a mascot called “Orihime-chan.” cute. “White motorcycles” and “police cars” are also on display. It’s cool.
It seems that you can ride in the “police car” seat. It looks like the kids are having fun. I have finished the tour. Head towards Orio Station.
I had planned to eat Higashichikuken’s Kashiwa Udon next to Orio Station on my way home, but I gave up because everyone was thinking the same thing and there were so many people in line. (Unfortunately) I can see the people from the later tour group.
