Hello to everyone around the world. My name is Satoru Sato and I live on Taketomi Island, Japan. Ugh! The sea water is very cold. The sea water is incredibly cold. Oh… I’m used to this water temperature.
I take the shallowest route to cross to the white sandbar ahead, but the water is up to my neck. I arrive at Satoru island. It has been an unnamed sandbank until now, but due to various circumstances, the name ‘Phantom Beach’ is likely to be generally established. So beautiful ！
I think the timing of my arrival here was also good. 9:25 am High tide is 5 minutes later today at Middle tide. Today’s tidal levels will be no higher. The surroundings are very beautiful. From now on, the tide level will only fall.
Even at 9:30 am I am the only one on Kondoi beach. I am very sad to see that tourists in December are dressed in mid-winter clothes and few bring swimming costumes. Today’s weather is in line with the forecast. Every few tens of seconds the weather switches between sunny and cloudy.
When you come to the beach, everyone should go barefoot. It is still beautiful when the weather is clear. I hear the sound of an aeroplane, but I cannot see it. This could be a plane from Yonaguni Island to Ishigaki Island. My friend Nozomi may be going to meet my friend Hiromi.
The two of them are as close as lovers and I hope they get married soon. I am already wet all over, so I go back into the cold water. Today it is beautiful whichever way you look at it. The sea water is a bit cold, but… It’s okay. But it is cold.

It is a cold season for swimming without sunlight. When it is cloudy, it is very cold in the sea. Good thing I have a wetsuit today. Even in winter, you can swim comfortably naked in the sunshine. In often cloudy weather, a wetsuit is required. It is a lonely season.
However, when the sun shines while wearing a wetsuit, it is very hot. This is 100% fruit juice from Okayama, Japan, given to us by a viewer. This is grape juice of the Muscat of Alexandria variety. So tasty ! very very tasty ! The product name is Okayama Fruit Juice Story.

A couple of Giant trevally spotted a cowering sea snake and started messing with it. Another Giant trevally is outside the angle of view. When the sea snake starts to move, Giant trevally and I leave the area. What were the circumstances of this? This was also given to us by a viewer.
This is a sparkling wine from Kobe, Hyogo, Japan. Yes, it is sparkling wine. A couple of Giant trevally about 50cm were swimming. I got the GoPro On and Off wrong and didn’t get many shots. They were relentlessly messing with the sea snakes. What were they doing?
Is Giant trevally a predator of sea snakes? I saw the flanks of the Giant trevally as striped like a tiger. Are they of that pattern? I go home and take a nap. I am the world’s strongest rain man. But today is a holiday and it’s so sunny, I’m very happy.
I feel that my holidays have become clearer since I visited the Hodaka Shrine in Kamikochi, Nagano, Japan. It is wonderfully beautiful. I feel I don’t deserve to go home. Soon we will see shadows like Stingray. See, isn’t that a Stingray shadow?
I happen to have a friend in the vicinity and he said, “That would be Stingray.” . Kondoi beach is interesting this year because of its ups and downs. And behind me… That area is also interesting because of the rising beach. Any of the black shadows in this area may be Stingray.

竹富島も12月半ばとなると、冬の気候が色濃くなります。
2023年の八重山諸島は雨がとっても少なく快晴ばかりでしたが、
それでもこの季節になれば北風と雨天が多くなりました。
植物達はホッとしてると思いますが、
観光地としてはすっかりオフですね。
年末年始を終えれば島民は冬眠します ♪
今年もあと２週間で終わりかと思うと、
今年は他の離島へ１度も行きませんでした…。
ネットスーパーの存在を知ってからは石垣島でさえ
殆ど行かなくなってしまいました。
いけませんね～…
１度きりの人生をもっと楽しまないといけませんね ♪

１２月なのに、この素敵な天気✨いい空気吸いたいです。
ちょっと前の私も😊移住+転職の思いが繰り返し沸き立ち、15年も居た職場を辞めました。慎重な性格と、想定する先の苦労を考えるとなかなか決断できず、あえて退路を絶って😂動きだしました。結局、松本は断念してしまいました。ですが、興味はあったけれど二の足を踏んでいた、分野に挑戦して、絶賛苦労中です🤣記憶力も、理解力も落ちて大変で、同じ医療業界なのに、収入も〇百万落ちたけど😂😂やらなかった後悔はすることはなくなりました。
ここに至るまで、随分動画で癒やしを頂き、ありがとうございます😊 気分転換のつもりだった島への旅行が直前に仕事が決まり、ご褒美になり自転車で島を周れるとは思いませんでした。😊
また、伺えるといいなぁ。店長のスリスリはおやつくれと理解したので、次は対応を間違えませんよ🤭
