SUB【ホテルニュー塩原】1泊2食付きで9,000円？！館内設備が充実しすぎる温泉旅館に行ってきました【VLOG】 栃木 / 那須塩原
I’m currently at Nasushiobara Station. This is the waiting room inside the station. I came here by car, but since Hotel New Shiobara has a free shuttle bus, I decided to transfer there.
This was because the forecast for the next day was snow and I was worried about driving if I had my own car. The ride time is approximately 40 minutes. It seems that reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. Arrived safely! This is the lobby. The back right is the front.
Check-in was quite crowded even at 14:30. Feel free to bring your yukata from here. It’s been a while since I had a key-inserted door! Today we are in a Japanese-Western room on the 5th floor.
The inside of the building is spacious…! By the way, this is a diagram of the west building (main building). You will be given two keys. A spacious Japanese-style room with twin beds…! I’ll be staying with my parents, and there’s plenty of room.
The bed next to the window was quite cold, but it was comfortable because it had a new air conditioner! Thankfully, this room had a water server! I love that I can drink both cold and hot water whenever I want! There is a small refrigerator underneath. I guess it can’t be frozen…
A towel rack found in some inns. It would be useful to have this. By the way, I was able to go out to the balcony (balcony?) and could see Yusen Gorge and Rainbow Bridge. It is rich in nature, with mountains and rivers. This is exactly what is called extraordinary in the neighborhood.
The water area is immediately to the left of the entrance. I can’t deny that the equipment is old, but I like how retro it is lol. I didn’t expect to find shampoos in pouches! Paper cups may be a good idea considering hygiene.
There are no hair dryers in the rooms in the West Building, so if you need one, please let the front desk know and you can borrow one. The bathroom is tiled and retro and cute! Since there is a large public bath, it seems that there are not many people who enter it.
Finally, a look at the Japanese-style room. The futon was already placed on the tatami mat. Tickets will be given to you for dinner and breakfast, so don’t forget to bring them to the venue! Due to the coronavirus pandemic, tea and sweets have been canceled. Will it not be revived?
The information inside the museum is quite interesting to read! It is connected to the West Building, Yusenkyo, and B&H Building. Dinner starts at 6pm, so let’s go for a walk around the hotel to work up an appetite.
Corridor on the 5th floor of the West Building. I stayed there on Friday, but I passed many customers. The second floor of the west building is the front floor. The store seems to be open from 3pm. As expected from Tochigi! Utsunomiya gyoza. The souvenir shops at hot spring inns are interesting.
There is a small game center behind the store. A large game center is located on the lower floor. Let’s go down the stairs. The first floor of the West Building is also connected to the Rainbow Bridge. This is the main game center. It was spacious and seemed like a good place to play!
I have a weakness for lottery games like this. So one play… I couldn’t get the capsule. I tried it one more time after this, but it didn’t work lol. There is a karaoke box across from this arcade. I think it was paid and reservation only, if you are interested.
Sorry, the order may change! Shiobara Hououza is located on the second floor of the west building. It seems that various events are held depending on the day, such as song shows and performance shows.
Return to the first floor. If you come to a hot spring, you have no choice but to play table tennis! I think there were four more rooms arranged like this. There were no other people around, so it was open.
Freedom table tennis showdown with Mami-chan (my mother). The rally doesn’t last too long and I laugh. It doesn’t have to last as long as it’s fun! I was sweating quite a bit! A fun fork in the road from here. You can go either way, but let’s go to the right first.
Yusenkyo Gorge crosses the Rainbow Bridge. This bridge was also shown in old commercials…! The view from the window on the way . There’s even a little snow! There is also an after-bath area and vending machines near the public bath. Let’s go.
This is an open-air bath for women. There was also a standing bath, a lying bath, and a low-temperature sauna. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath were quite hot, which is what makes hot springs so enjoyable.
After eating dinner, let’s go to the rock bath in the west wing… Hot spring inns are busy in a good way lol. There was also a manga corner in the west wing. I definitely have to come back later…
It’s 6pm and we’re here for dinner! I’ll give you a quick introduction with a video. I think Oedo Onsen has quite a variety of products. There are also local items such as strawberries and rice from Tochigi.
Buffet means you can eat whatever you want and as much as you want, so just hearing the word gets you excited. By the way, the featured ingredient on this day was crab. I’m happy if you like it…!
Personally, I was happy that there was a huge salad corner! I’m thankful because I don’t eat vegetables surprisingly. Utsunomiya gyoza, steak, and tempura are made fresh in front of you! They have a reasonable selection of Japanese, Western, and Chinese items, and at this price, you can’t really complain…!
I tried a lot of different things, but the mapo tofu was delicious and left an impression on me. My parents enjoyed eating a lot of crab. I ate a lot for 90 minutes. Shall we go back after checking the front desk?
It was quite crowded when we checked in, but it was less popular at night. There are massage chairs, a smoking area, and a front desk and yukata corner in the back. There are vending machines and microwave ovens on the way to B&H building, which seems convenient.
For a night bath, go to the rock bath in the west building! The temperature is calmer than Yusenkyo and it is easier to enter. This is the massage machine I was interested in! So, 300 yen for 15 minutes was spent.
You don’t have to worry about those around you because you have a face cover! I think I’m going to go back to my room and rest today. good morning! Breakfast starts at 7am. I went to the B&H building for my morning bath.
This place is available for private use in the afternoon, so we recommend visiting in the morning! There are about 3 bathtubs. Breakfast is also at the same venue as dinner. The staff will be able to guide you in each case.
Now let’s take a look at the table. There was bread in the freshly baked corner for dinner. There were various menu items that I wanted to eat in the morning, but the meat and potatoes were especially delicious!
However, since I woke up early, I was disappointed that I couldn’t prepare many dishes…I’ll be back again lol. What was interesting was this fully automatic pancake machine! It’s amazing what you can create just by placing your hand over the sensor!
I ate a little and got up early. The staff frequently checked the remaining amount of food, which was impressive. Check-out is at 10am, but advance payment can be made from 6am. It’s amazing that you can also use it for a day trip!
[Hotel New Shiobara] How was it? I thought this was a great place to stay for a short trip when you’re tired from work ♪ We also took a free shuttle bus on the way back. Mako seems like there will be more stays in this style this year.
As a bonus, we stopped at Senbonmatsu Farm on the way there. The site seems to be quite large, so please consider it as a sightseeing spot!
