Huh…I want to go even deeper… This store is a renovated storehouse of the Kubo family residence, which is a tangible cultural property. Wow, it looks very stylish.

A shop serving pancake-style [Dorayaki] and [Japanese black tea]. There are 8 seats at the large counter. Wow, this is a very artistic [Dorayaki]. [Matcha dorayaki & Japanese black tea set]. [Dorayaki] can be chosen from plain or matcha. Choose from 4 types of Japanese black tea. I chose [d:matcha lemon] from Wazuka, Kyoto.

[Dorayaki] But it’s like a pancake. No matter how you look at it, pancakes are a mess (lol). There are 4 layers of fabric. The bean paste is spread between the dough, giving it just the right amount of sweetness. I’ll try adding brown sugar syrup.

It’s delicious and you can enjoy it in a variety of ways by changing the taste with matcha cream and brown sugar syrup. This Japanese black tea has a refreshing lemon flavor and is easy to drink. A hidden cafe with a unique building and menu that is typical of Kyoto.

I’ve been waiting for a cafe like this to open! I’m so happy ♪ It’s about a 15 minute walk from [Nijo Castle]. Recommended for sightseeing. Next, I will go to a shop around Gion. I’m heading to the store on Hanamikoji. GION SAKAI is a Western confectionery shop, although it has a Japanese-style appearance.

Choose your favorite cake on the first floor. The cafe will be on the second floor. There are counter seats and 3 table seats. Cute [moss balls] and [roasted tea]. Ah, it feels hard and soft. I wonder what’s going on? I was so careful that I thought something might jump out (lol).
