[Music] welcome to the beautiful island of St  Martin where you’ll find pristine and relaxing beaches. great weather all year round and incredible Wildlife. dude there’s a  wasp nest out here somewhere. and a rat just   ran over my foot. I’m just kidding we actually  had a super amazing time in St Martin and I  

Just thought it would be funny to add our  travel mishaps don’t squish the iguanas! anyways   we spent a few days exploring the island  which is actually super beautiful has the   most incredible food and a few other  interesting spots too so we’re excited  

To take you guys with us around St Martin  starting with a hike to Devil’s cupper which   is locally known as the natural pool oo  so pretty with all the butterflies I love that this is a little bit scary it’s a  little treacherous drop this is supposed to be an easy

trail. from this Trail you  can see that’s St Bart and then   out that way I don’t know if it’s  going to pick up on the camera can   barely see it with the eye there a  mountain right there and that is uh

Statia and looks like we’re going  to get some rain here real quick so something unique about St Martin is that the  island is divided into two different countries   with the South being part of the kingdom in the  Netherlands and the north being part of France  

So it’s two countries one people they just spell  it a little differently for our next stop we’re   headed to the capital of the Dutch side of the  island this morning we’re in Philipsburg which   is the capital of St Martin it’s like the tourist  place to go it’s where all the cruise ships come  

In on the Dutch side and it’s pretty cool uh  there’s lots and lots of restaurants lots of   shops to go to but we’re up a little bit early so  not quite uh the right time for us but it’s still  

Fun to explore it’s beautiful here and the bay is  perfectly glassy and flat on a day like today yeah   and as a side note if you’re not coming in on a  cruise and you’re driving like we did there is a  

Parking lot that is free on pondfill road but you have  to get your early because it fills up by about 11:   yep that’s right and it’s just right on the  other side of this yeah like literally just past   those [Music] buildings so something you’ll see  when you’re messing around down here and really  

All over the island is the damage from Hurricane  Irma a lot of stuff’s been rebuilt I’d say   probably like 95% of what we’ve seen but there’s  still like a lot of old that building almost looks  

Like bombed out but they still keep them nice it’s  actually a guy in there doing a landscaping right now [Music] all right that was Philipsburg it was a  shame everything was closed cuz it’s so   early but we’re on an early schedule right  now and now we are trying to Boogie on over  

To Fort Amsterdam okay so we’re not totally  sure how you get there but there’s parking   here Ford Amsterdam is up there there’s  that little Housing Development there Fort Amsterdam straight all right we made  it to Fort Amsterdam of which there is not  

A lot left but I don’t think that’s why  people actually come out here the views   are wonderful a full 360 view uh you know  we’ll get out to the end of the peninsula   and show it off but it’s very nice you  got the Big Bay there you got the bay  

On the other side all the mountains and  everything it also seems like they have   like a pop up behind hienekin bar yeah there  is some level of corporate sponsorship up Here so if you go just next to the Fort I think  this is North maybe anyway it’s pretty pretty   obvious right you look there’s a big boat ramp  looking thing I think that’s what this was you go  

Right down to where they snorkel right like that’s  tour boat dang too bad you don’t have your mask I Know okay so we’re going to try out some local  food I’m not entirely sure which place we’re   going to go to because there’s not exactly a lot  of information on the little roadside stands they   call Lolos here yeah there’s no Posted hours  they’re kind of like informal Affairs you know  

Plywood And so we just drive by and see see if  they’re open yeah all right all right let’s go we   went to like what this is our fourth restaurant  now uh and we finally stumbled on place it was  

Open and didn’t have a line out the door we’re the  only ones here but we got beef stew rice and beans   fried [Music] plantains so good and fried chicken  I’m going to get nice and close so you can hear like are those tears of joy yeah it’s  like inappropriately good I don’t know  

How they did it but the whole thing is  like covered almost in like chicken skin   and fried I don’t know what that is on  the outside or maybe they peeled it and   then fried it but it’s not battered but it’s  fantastic I’ve never had fried chicken like

It so it’s in like a tomato and almost tastes like  there’s scotch bondet in there yeah think yeah   it’s spicy and has a some sort of Caribbean pepper  though super [Music] delicious after a few days  

On St Martin with a very limited schedule we had  our first and only full day there so we went on a   mission to see as much as possible so our plan for  today is to make a loop around the entire Island  

And it’s pretty small so we should be able to see  a lot of the best sites here it’s iguana time so   we uh kind of got lost on our way to the beach but  we found this spot that was literally just called  

Iguanas with a little photo icon so you could take  pictures here and there are tons of iguanas tons   of iguanas it’s actually kind of weird yeah  there’s like a huge big one over there pile of don’t squish the iguanas! [Music]

Iguanas yo come on get get all right that that  stuff is going to be hard to beat if you like   animals you should definitely take a moment  to check this little spot out we’re really  

Big Wildlife people so this was fun I like ganas  a lot I actually just painted one yesterday I will   show you guys that so this is the process of the  painting I did obviously inspired by the iguanas

Going to look really good with some really fine  scales that I just can’t do with a brush [Music] hey guys I’m just popping on from the future  and sorry for the crazy setup I don’t have a

Protected and stuff okay I think I’ve talked  enough so let’s get back to the video [Music] who all right [Music] onward look at that we’re going to france FR we are now on the French side so so far we’re finding that a lot of  these places seem closed or privatized private  

Property no trespassing back there I felt like we  couldn’t really be there this is it for you maybe   we should just submit to doing the beach thing  everything is privatized I don’t know I guess  

If you want to go sit on the beach this is the  place for you and I think we might go try to do that you’re looking great in your qualified  dep party shirt combined with the Captain  

Morgan hat I know and I don’t even drink okay  we are at The Rotary Lookout Point which is   technically that right there but there was a  big tourist bus blocking out the parking so   just down the road there’s a little spot  right here here and you can just walk up  

To it so we’re going to do that but it is  beautiful here the water here is amazing   and this is still the bad side of the island  you can feel the wind it’s the windward side  

So it’s all choppy yeah so if you guys don’t  know um when you’re on like a a lot of islands   there’s a side that just catches all the wind  so and all the waves and all the waves exactly  

It just kind of chops things up so it’s hard to  believe this is like the murky bad side for the ocean what do you think of this view it’s nice  it’s really nice I was actually taking   a moment to appreciate the placards about  the wildlife love it they actually do have  

Quite a bit of wildlife here like there’s some  interesting stuff we’ve never seen anywhere else uh-huh across the bay over there is Orient Bay  Beach which is one of the most famous beaches here  

Because because it’s a nude beach so think this  may be the only footage we get of it we might go   check it out the cameras aren’t allowed but if  you’re interested that’s what it looks like at  

Least from far away are you saying we’re getting  nude on the nude beach it’s up to you Randy I   mean when in Rome when in France when in France  are you nervous Alan says he’s a little nervous  

I’m a little nervous I’m not a hot chick I think  that like makes me more nervous all right let’s do this oh it’s not the most comfortable all the  way out here okay we’re doing it and it is  

Just like being on the beach except a little  more Breezy yeah I think if you’re a french   guy you’re kind of lucky because you don’t  have to buy your wife expensive swimsuits I   mean it would be nice if everyone could just  go out like this cuz some are expensive mine  

Was like 100 bucks that little one right  there mhm yeah Yep this is it we were too   nervous to do it in front of everyone  although Orient Bay Beach is well known   for its clothing optional South section it  is expected you wear clothing in the northern  

Section but on the North End you will also  find restaurants shopping and a cute little   town center it is also a very popular Beach for  kite surfing this is a nice Beach it has a huge

Sad okay so for our next stop we are going  to go to that beach with the airplanes land   directly over it it’s called Maho Beach um and  we tried to go the other day but we found out  

You can only go between like 1 and 3ish I  mean a few other big planes land but there   are no plane landings pretty much while  we were there so uh we’re skipping ahead   to that and then we’re going to backtrack  so we can be there on time to see the big  

Planes it’s almost a good thing we came here  the other day and like couldn’t figure out the   schedule because we found this whole parking lot  back [Music] here this feels really wrong. It blew my hat off. I think that’s why  I screamed I just wasn’t expecting to win that was loud oh my

[Music] go wow that was really loud that so  loud had to walk away cuz it was just so noisy   with that by that airport but I thought that  was is going to be like a total tourist trap   thing but it’s actually super fun at least if  you’re in airplanes yeah definitely come it’s  

Awesome it gets so close like right overhead I  thought one of them for sure was going to hit us that was a little close for comfort  yeah I know people started running he   looked like he was struggling  a bit there a little bit Yeah  

Flying chicken with an airplane right  right and then the jet blast thing is crazy that caught me off guard I know it’s like  so windy it kind of like pushes you like at  

Least me I’m tall and have a lot of surface area  and I like flew like a kite I like caught myself   stumbling oh that was great and then it’s right  by this little town too which is awesome and uh  

I got to stop by the pharmacy while we were  waiting for the big planes to show up and I   got my medication like really cheap didn’t have  to go to the doctors love it is that what you  

Wanted to talk about or just the airplanes no the  airplanes I mean the pharmacy thing cool too you   can get over the count of birth control if you’re  a chick woo back in the car we’re getting the AC  

Pumping right now but uh we’re going to head  over to the capital of the French side it’s   called Maro it’s supposed to have really good  food and just be a cool little town we drove  

By it earlier but didn’t sto there cuz we wanted  to catch the planes coming in but let’s go we’re hungry all right so we tried to go to a  restaurant in marago but they’re not quite  

Open for another half hour so we hiked up to  or are actively hiking up to Fort Louis Fort   St Louis Fort St Louis oh I don’t know  I didn’t see anyways we’re at Fort St  

Louis it’s on a not so tall Hill it’s a very  easy walk from the town it’s an old 200y old   French Fort nice Town nice Fort to protect  it some Pirates of the Caribbean style stuff   I guess I love it yeah it’s really nice the  view is great it’s like 360° Hilltop there’s  

Lots of old cannons and stuff French flag  you can you know do yourself stuff [Music] too St Martin is actually really pretty yeah  the beach is incredible water is incredible   I love this like hilly lands stap all the  houses in it the forts are cool I like it

Here all right let’s go eat yeah I’m starving check this out we’re right by the water [Music] amazing yes thank you oh that looks so  good enjoy oh my the rice fell it’s okay enjoy   thank you so I got myself some Caribbean  Jerk ribs here do you let’s give it a try

Then spicy okay so there’s some sort of Scotch  bonnet sauce on them or perhaps that’s like the   base of the jerk I don’t know much about  Caribbean food yet uh here’s me learning   but Jesus they’re spicy oh my God they’re  really good though they fall right off the  

Bone but not too fun got the right amount of  cooking to it right there’s a bite to it oh make a I got the cre shrimp they also look  so good I’m just going to go right on for

[Music] it they’re so soft and tender what’s  it taste like what’s the seasoning like a   little tomato it’s a little tarp maybe  it’s just a touch of sweet and there’s   like all these like different like  War seasonings but it’s not [Music]

Spicy it’s good right yeah that is unlike  anything I’ve ever tasted it’s good it’s   not fishy at all no I like it I could  eat that that’s how shrimp is supposed   to taste yeah that was that’s really good  I like that a lot how many miles do you  

Think we walk today uh um six seven wow  I had seven miles and [Music] flip-flops
