The red section of the train is the Akita shinkansen and will get detached from the rest and go to Akita prefecture we will board the green section, bound for Aomori Japanese train technology is very sophisticated and interesting trains are also very clean and extremely punctual finally time to get on board!

Train is clean, quiet and very comfortable lot of space for my legs departure! I love drinking coffee on the train while watching outside from the window Shinkansen lavatories are so clean! weather outside is good.. but seems like it might rain later

Arrived in Hachinohe where we will take the local train to Same station this is the Hachinoe line. It goes from hachinohe to Same arrived at Same station. Same means “shark” in Japanese from here we will walk for 15 minute to Kabushima shrine view of the bay with Kabushima shrine on the other side

It’s very windy today During spring and summer there are many birds here they lay their eggs and migrate south during winter.. so no birds today 🙁 Kabushima shrine People ring the bell then run around the shrine here. Seems to bring good luck nice wooden structure amazing views this must be awesome in summer

But now it’s too windy and it started raining you can enjoy the sun here on the beach on warm days This is a very famous donuts shop close to the shrine Sugar-cinnamon donut and hot chocolate so good It was so good that I decided to get another one!

It’s time to go explore the city centre This area is called Miroku-Yokocho Many small and warm restaurants here let’s go inside it’s a bit vintage area… love it! it’s cold outside, but inside the shops it’s very warm which one should I choose? lets explore a bit more is this a bus stop??

I heard there is a fried sushi restaurant around here it’s very famous but I cannot find it I will try another street found it!!! finally.. I will dinner here Mackerel skewers looks good! Fried cheese Fried sushi!!! I wonder how it is.. never had fried sushi before it was incredibly good!

Dinner was so good! Time to sleep now. Good morning! It’s snowing today great opportunity for a morning walk nobody around here 🙂 very different from yesterday night.. it’s so quiet now! of course all shops are closed at this time

I have to walk back to the station, next train is waiting for me I only have sneakers with me floor is a bit slippery, not ideal to walk around but we are not scared 🙂 I made it to the station I like the nickname “seagull town”

Platform is elevated, so there is a nice view of the city with snow next destination is Kuroishi, other side of Aomori prefecture but our trip ends here today. See you soon with the next part!
