黒部ダム・松本観光編【長野東急REIホテル】ホテル泊まり放題サブスク tsugi-tsugiで30連泊の旅!Vol.10
This is the 10th installment of the nationwide unlimited stay subscription Tsugi-Tsugi 30-night trip. This is a video of me staying at Nagano Tokyu REI Hotel and sightseeing. The majestic Kurobe Dam. Matsumoto Castle is a national treasure. Tour and meal at Ishii Miso. Matsumoto City Clock Museum, etc. What kind of trip was it?
At the end of the video, I also list the expenses I spent during my stay. Please watch till the end. On this channel, we upload information about hotels and living abroad. If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet, please do so. Check out Glamping & Port Yui in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
On this trip, we will head to Nagano Station, the longest distance traveled. First, take the bus that departs at 8:10 a.m. and head to JR No. 6 Station. At 8:58, I used the Seishun 18 ticket for the 4th time from Rokugo Station and headed to Fuji Station on the Tokaido Main Line.
As we approached Fuji Station, we could see Mt. Fuji from the train window. At 10:15am, transfer to the Minobu Line from Fuji Station and head towards Kofu Station. Local trains on the Minobu Line bound for Kofu run infrequently. Seishun 18 tickets are not used for this section.
I bought a train ticket and a limited express ticket, and took the limited express Fujikawa for a short warp. The seats on the Limited Express Fujikawa were cross seats, so they were quite comfortable. Outside you can see the majestic Mt. Fuji and the Fuji River between the Southern Alps.
I enjoyed the train journey just by looking at the scenery outside. I arrived at Kofu Station at 12:05. After that, I used the Seishun 18 Ticket again and headed to Nagano Station on the local train. At 16:56, we finally arrived at Nagano Station.
We left on the bus at 8:10am, so it took us 8 hours and 46 minutes to get here. The Nagano Tokyu REI Hotel, where we will be staying, is located a 1-minute walk from the Zenkoji exit of Nagano Station. Now let’s go inside.
The front desk on the 4th floor is decorated in white and has very friendly staff, as well as bookshelves and chairs. In one corner there were amenities that you could get freely. It was a clean and relaxing place, yet it gave the impression of being compact. This time’s room is 910.
Now enter the room with the card key. I just entered the room. It’s so small that this is the only place to store your luggage, so I’ve already left my luggage there. There is a folding luggage rack here. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same as a regular hotel.
It contained disposable slippers, a shoe horn, and a shoe polish bag. If you look up, you’ll see four hangers. There are two hangers for jackets and two for pants. The hanger is a little dated. This is deodorant. And below there is a phone and a notepad.
Let’s open this shelf to see what’s in it. It’s a shelf in the aisle. When you open it, you’ll find a kettle and a cup. When I opened this cup, there was nothing in it. It comes with two of these.
There is a mineral water server on this floor, so use it to fill up the water. We don’t have plastic bottles, but if you use this you can drink as much as you like. That’s how it feels. There’s a kettle inside. There are glasses and teacups below. It’s very simple.
Drinks are not included. You can bring as many drinks as you like at the reception desk below. There is a refrigerator downstairs. There is a simple refrigerator in the hotel. And here we have an air purifier. This is the bathroom. The bathroom looks like this, with a large mirror in front.
It is a unit bath. There is a washlet type toilet below. There are two rolls of toilet paper here. And the glasses are separated by color. A toothbrush is provided as an amenity. All I have here is a toothbrush. You can bring the necessary amenities yourself from the front desk.
That may be the most ECO. There are two hand towels. There are bath towels and body towels on top. This one had a hair dryer in it. This will be the wash basin. And a unit bath. It is a pump type and comes with body shampoo, shampoo, and conditioner.
There is a shower here. The length of the bath is a little narrow, and you have to bend your legs to enter. The bathtub seems to be quite deep. There is no public bath here, so you have no choice but to enter here. The bathroom looks like this.
Let’s go back to the room. The room as a whole looks like this. The room was listed as 16-17㎡, so it felt a little larger than a business hotel. I have a chair and a coffee table here, where I’m putting the amenities right now.
There is another chair, so you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee at this table. There’s a TV in front of me. This amenity was brought from below. This is a hair milk for women, and it seems to be good for women’s hair. This is a cleansing oil.
There were many other things, but my wife just brought this one for now. If you go back to the front desk later, I’ll bring you the things you need. All that’s left is a cotton swab. There was also a shaver. Here are the drinks. I only brought apple tea.
There were also many other types of coffee, tea, and Earl Grey. You can bring your own favorite tea or coffee. I also had a newspaper downstairs, so I brought it with me. Let’s take a look at the bed. There are two single beds. Nightwear was also included.
Each item comes with a gown-type nightwear. There was only one pillow, but pillows were available for rent. I added one pillow to each. Each bed has a light like this. There is one outlet at each bedside. There is no USB. There is a shelf below with tissues and a mirror.
These are mirrors, one of which is a magnifying glass. There’s a window here, so let’s take a look at what the view looks like. When you open the window, you can see Nagano Station on the other side. It’s right after you cross the traffic light. The room looks like this.
The room is compact, but since it’s right in front of the station, you can go to many places using the station. We will enjoy our 3 nights here. That’s all from this room, excuse me. Measure your internet speed. Let’s start. Download speed is 30.6Mbps. Upload speed is 17.0Mbps.
I think you can also surf the internet normally. I think that’s enough. Irons, ironing boards, trouser presses, and shoe dryers are also available for rent on each floor. A coin laundry is also available on the 4th floor. For dinner, I had tempura soba at a nearby soba restaurant.
On this day, I bought a Shinshu round-trip ticket and took the Shinano limited express train to Matsumoto Station. First of all, I was hungry, so I went to Ishii Miso, which is an 18-minute walk from Matsumoto Station.
Here, you can enjoy a luxurious lunch using miso made using a natural brewing method, which is rare these days. You can eat it at a restaurant that has been converted from a miso storehouse. First, we will have a single item of miso gyoza.
The gyoza ingredients are kneaded with miso from here, and since it already has a miso flavor, you only need to add chili oil. When you eat it, the deep flavor of the miso matches the flavor of the gyoza, making it very delicious. This is a miso ginger pickled meal.
This large pork soup uses miso that has been aged for three years. The accompanying dessert is 3-year miso kuzumochi. It also comes with white amazake. The main dish is Shinshu pork loin marinated with aged miso and ginger.
The flavor of the marinated miso and ginger soaks into the pork well, making it tender and very delicious. My wife ordered another menu item, Shinshu pork loin marinated in salt koji, so I’ll have that as well. The taste of salt koji and black pepper was exquisite, and it was also very delicious.
We also recommend the large pork soup with its rich miso flavor. When I put the sesame vinegar miso dressing on the salad, the miso, sesame seeds, and vinegar matched perfectly and it was very delicious. I bought it as a souvenir for myself. After the meal, we took a tour of the miso brewery.
The staff was very kind and explained the characteristics, types, and manufacturing process of miso in detail. It’s a very interesting facility and the food is delicious, so be sure to check it out when you come to Matsumoto.
At the sales office, you will learn about the characteristics of the miso made here and how to enjoy it. Since the lunch was so delicious, I also bought the miso that had been aged for 3 years for myself. Next, we headed to Matsumoto Castle, which is a 20-minute walk from Ishii Miso.
Matsumoto Castle was visited not only by Japanese people but also by many foreign tourists. As you walk towards Matsumoto Castle, you won’t see any modern buildings, utility poles, or wires. You will feel like you have traveled back in time to a bygone era.
Matsumoto Castle has a very beautiful exterior with white plaster and black lacquer. It is also famous as a beautiful castle that stands out against the backdrop of the Northern Alps mountains.
The inside of the castle is built as it used to be, so the stairs going up from the 4th floor to the 5th floor are at a fairly steep angle of about 61 degrees.
From the top floor, you can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view of Matsumoto’s castle town and the mountains of the Northern Alps. After enjoying Matsumoto Castle, head to the Matsumoto City Clock Museum, which is a 6-minute walk away. This large pendulum clock is the landmark building.
Inside, there are mainly valuable watches from the 18th to 20th centuries on display. There are clocks that work with various mechanisms, and the staff at the museum will kindly explain them to you. It’s a very interesting facility to tour, and I highly recommend it.
After this, I took the limited express Shinano again and returned to Nagano Station, where my hotel was located. For dinner, I ate Tsukemen near the hotel. Please rest today. Today I took the Alpico Kotsu bus from Nagano Station at 8:15am.
Then, head to Ogizawa Station, where the electric bus that goes to Kurobe Dam leaves. As we approached the dam, the river water became a beautiful emerald green color. I was glad that the weather was nice today because I could see the mountains clearly. The bus arrived at Ogizawa Station.
From here, transfer to a Kanden electric bus and head towards Kurobe Dam. There is something like a train pantograph on the top of the bus, and you can see that it is currently charging. Since it is an electric bus, it runs very quietly.
We are currently passing through the fracture zone, which was a difficult point during the Kurobe Dam construction. It is said that even now, when you open the inspection door, a large amount of spring water flows out. Once you pass the yellow sign, you will enter Toyama Prefecture.
Then the bus arrived at Kurobe Dam. It’s now 10:48. I got off the bus and went to the toilet. From here, head towards the observation deck. If you go to the right at the end, there will be 220 steps of stairs.
After climbing about 100 steps, you can drink delicious spring water from the fracture zone. The spring water is very cold and tastes delicious when you drink it. Personally, the spring water I drank in Kamikochi was more delicious than the one here. I’m going to climb another 100 steps.
Surprisingly, the 220 steps are just a short walk away. Think of it as a staircase that warms your body. Arrived. It’s amazing. The weather was very nice today. I am spraying water properly. Kurobe Dam is something I have always wanted to see. A huge structure built by our ancestors who made many sacrifices.
The magnificent view of Kurobe Gorge is very wonderful. It can truly be said to be a dam that represents Japan. Currently, water is being sprayed for tourism. There was always a beautiful rainbow in the place where water was being sprayed.
The closer you get to the water discharge site, the more intense the water spray will be. You can feel the power of water being released from a huge dam. For lunch, we will have Kurobe Dam’s famous dam curry. The rice in the middle represents Kurobe Dam. The roux in curry represents dam water.
The round potato salad represents water being released from the dam. Fukujinzuke seems to represent a rainbow. This cutlet may represent a pleasure boat. The green curry here is a bit spicy, so my wife chose a regular curry. Let’s have it then. Let’s start with the cutlet.
The cutlet is crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. The green curry contains ground meat and has a bit of spice. Personally, I recommend this green curry better than the regular curry that my wife ate.
There is a special venue in the new observation plaza where you can enjoy the history of Kurobe Dam construction through panels and videos. A replica of the tunnel set from the movie “Kurobe no Taiyo” is also on display. This concrete bucket.
It seems that a lot of concrete was transported using this when building Kurobe Dam. It is said that it has carried concrete 960 times in one day. It’s amazing. This is the hook for fishing, and it’s on display. The wire is very thick. There are a lot of fine wires inside.
There is a promenade along the lake on the other side of the dam, so I decided to take a walk. This is the view of Kurobe Dam seen from the dam’s dam. This view is a rare and magnificent sight that can only be seen from the top of the dam.
I am now walking across the dam’s embankment towards the sightseeing boat. There are almost no tourists here. Garbe boarding area. I came to the boarding point for the pleasure boat. The other side is the dam we just walked over. The water level has dropped considerably. It’s very open. This is another nice view.
You can see the fishing bridge ahead. This is Kampa Valley Bridge, and from here it becomes a fishing bridge. The view is great, but it’s quite scary so it’s quite scary. I was walking as if I was getting further and further away from Kurobe Dam.
There was a sign saying “Beware of bears!” so I hope I don’t run into a bear. Kurobe Dam seen from here. It’s amazing. I’ve been walking quite a bit. September 9th. It feels so good.
If you’re still feeling energetic after seeing Kurobe Dam, it might be a good idea to walk all the way here, as if you were hiking. This is a viewing rest area. The mountain in front of me is Mt. Akazawa, 2,678m. Granite looks whitish, so this is why the rock surface is bright white.
The water here is also beautiful. There was a path from the observation rest area earlier, so I went down. This is also a very narrow road, but I think it might take you to the lake. There is no road from here on, and the water probably comes all the way to this area.
The water is receding right now so I feel like I can walk. You can see the mountain better than the observation deck from earlier. Because my field of vision is open.
It’s a narrow path where you’ll have to plow through the grass, so if you have weak legs, it’s best not to push yourself too hard. I returned to the dam embankment. This time, if you look at the water outlet side from the top of the dam’s embankment, it will be even more impressive.
My legs are tired from the walk, so I’m going to have some soft serve ice cream. Eating soft-serve ice cream while looking at the beautiful scenery is something special. At 3:01 p.m., there’s time for the return bus, so it’s time to get on the electric bus and head back to Ogizawa Station.
At 15:40, take the bus from Ogizawa Station to Nagano Station and return to the hotel. I was able to sit in the front seat of the bus on the way back, so I was able to enjoy a nice view. We arrived at Nagano Station at 17:32.
The bus stop is close to the hotel and Nagano Station, so it’s very convenient. From now on, I would like to have dinner at Meijitei near Nagano Station. I ordered the sauce cutlet bowl and my wife had the horse sashimi bowl. This was the most delicious meal around Nagano Station. good morning.
It’s September 10th, 6:50 p.m. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and checked out today, so I would like to share my impressions. This hotel itself felt more like a business hotel. I think the biggest advantage of this hotel is that it is close to the station.
The downside is that the room is a little small. There is no public bath, so you have to use the small unit bath in your room. Starting from here, you can go to various places such as Kurobe Dam and Matsumoto Castle.
I felt that the location of Nagano greatly increased the value of this hotel. When I stayed there, I didn’t spend much time at the hotel, I spent most of the day sightseeing. I thought I didn’t need to expect so much comfort from the hotel itself. A lot of foreigners come to stay here.
I think I’ll use it as a starting point because it’s easy to go sightseeing. Therefore, I think this hotel is recommended for those who want to sightsee in Nagano or those who want to go to various places from here.
Speaking of greed, I thought it would be easier to use if a Tsugi-Tsugi hotel base was opened in Matsumoto as well. Anyway, I’m checking out of this hotel today. I had so much fun going to so many different places for 3 nights. Well, that’s all for this hotel, if you’ll excuse me.
After this, the next destination. I will head to Hakuba Tokyu Hotel in the same Nagano Prefecture. Nagano Prefecture has many attractive tourist spots. I’m also really looking forward to Hakuba. Tsugi-Tsugi’s journey continues. If you are interested, please check out this channel from time to time.

クマに注意に震撼
クマに注意に震撼した!
松本は頻繁に行くのですが時計博物館を知りませんでした、今度行ってみます。長野県はどこに行っても外国人旅行者が多いですよね。次回の白馬も楽しみにしています。
