Walk around Sengokucho, Isemba, Ishinomori Mangattan Museum, the core facility of the Ishinomaki Manga Land Concept, and the former Ishinomaki Hristos Orthodox Church. Ishinomaki City is the second northern coastal city in Miyagi Prefecture. We took a walk around the historic area in front of the station.
With the development of the Ishinomaki Bypass in the old days and the development along Route 45 in the suburbs in recent years, the central shopping area of Ishinomaki has lost its role as the main commercial district and was further damaged by the earthquake. 宮城県県北沿岸に位置する第二の街、石巻市。
かつての商業の中心地であった、中央から駅前に連なる市街を巡ってみました。
今回は駅東の鋳銭場・千石町、そして中洲にある石ノ森萬画館・旧石巻ハリストス正教会教会堂の動画です。
他地方同様、駅前商店街の衰退傾向に加え、あの大震災。
町並みを揃え、新しい街のありかたに挑み続けている最中です。
以前より進めている「石巻マンガランド基本構想」や「Reborn-Art Festival 」等の取り組みの
エッセンスが盛り込まれた、よそ行きでは無い、ほっこりとした街になるといいですね。
