少し贅沢な温泉旅 – 熱海・真鶴 | 伊豆山神社・竹林庵みずの・貴船神社・絶景レストラン | Japan travel vlog
Atami station. First, we will sightsee Atami. Travel by local bus. Tokai Bus A41 Atami Station → Izuyama Jinja-mae 7 minutes ¥190. Arrived at Izusan Shrine. Late December. The autumn leaves are beautiful.
Red and white two dragons. The red dragon is the power of fire, the white dragon is the power of water, and the two dragons combine their powers to create hot springs. They are the strongest guardian deities. There are also photo spots inside the temple grounds.
Passing through the ring of buds on New Year’s Eve. Get rid of bad luck by passing through it correctly. Visit. There was a stone on which Yoritomo and Masako sat.
This is the shrine that Yoritomo and Masako visited around the time they met. It is said to be a place where love was talked about. I’ll just sit down for now. At the end of the precincts there was an area called “Masako Yoritomo’s Sakurakoji”.
The view is amazing! I wonder if cherry blossoms will bloom in spring. Next to the main shrine is a mountain path that goes further up. There is Hongu Shrine at the top of the mountain, but I will leave it there for now.
Exit the shrine and go straight down the stairs leading to the shrine. I went down to the seaside. There is a rare hot spring source here. Running bath. It is said to be a horizontal hole type source, which is rare even in Japan.
It’s dark, narrow, and hot, so visit at your own risk. But I’m a little excited. It’s hot and humid! There was a hot spring footbath outside the source. It’s located a little higher up, so the view is spectacular.
As of January 2023, the footbath is currently closed due to landslides. I hope it comes back to life. Return to Atami Station by bus. The arcade in front of the station is now a competitive area for sweets shops. We will have lunch at a sushi restaurant in downtown Atami.
Drink local sake from lunch. The best. Local fish sushi ¥2,420. It’s so delicious! The golden sea bream is especially delicious. I went out to sea. The sea in Atami is nice even in winter! The scenery makes you feel like you’re at a resort. I took a train from Atami to Ajiro Station.
I will take a shuttle taxi to the hotel where I will be staying today. “Chikurinan Mizuno”. A high-class hot spring inn with all rooms equipped with open-air baths. Ayame [Japanese-style room 12 tatami mats + bed + open-air bath] 1 night and 2 meals included ¥44,000 (1 person).
The room, the view, and the hot springs couldn’t be more beautiful. Drawstring bag with amenities. You can take it home. You can enjoy matcha tea as a welcome drink in your room. I would like to take a tour of the premises. Surprisingly, there are horses on the grounds of the inn.
I will give him some carrots for food that I received at the reception desk at the inn. Carrots are very popular. Relax in the hot spring bath in your room. dinner. I’m glad that I can eat in my room. The menu is also very luxurious, including spiny lobster and abalone.
Dessert. At noon, I ate Atami pudding that I bought in town and enjoyed the open-air bath in my room. Enjoy the open-air hot spring bath in your room while watching the sunrise over the sea. Calm sea with a clear view of Hatsushima.
Apart from the rooms, this ryokan also has several private hot springs. Here is one of them. Private open-air bath “Tenku”. The bathtub is large and the view is outstanding. It’s breakfast. A menu that is like a model for Japanese cuisine. Breakfast can also be served in your room.
It came with fresh wasabi. It has a nice scent when freshly rubbed. Eat it as a wasabi bowl. very delicious! Relax in your room until check-out time. The rooms and service at the hot spring inns I have occasionally splurged on were top-notch.
From Ajiro Station, take the Ito Line and Tokaido Line towards Kanagawa. I arrived at Manazuru Station. Manazuru Peninsula in western Kanagawa Prefecture. Walk from the station towards the port. It feels like a quiet port town. There are many shops offering fresh seafood. I came to Kibune Shrine on the Manazuru Peninsula.
Kifune Shrine is famous for the Kibune Festival, which is held every July. It is one of Japan’s three major boat festivals, where gorgeously decorated boats are pulled on the sea. I received a Goshuin stamp. After visiting Kibune Shrine, we will walk a short distance to the restaurant.
A restaurant with a spectacular view along the sea. The interior of the store is stylish and has a calm atmosphere. The windows are very large and you can see all the way to the Izu Peninsula across the ocean. The opposite shore is probably around Atami City, where I stayed yesterday.
I’ll have a pasta lunch. The garnish is also stylish. The curry looks delicious too. It’s a wonderful restaurant where you can relax while looking out at the ocean, offering authentic Italian and Japanese cuisine.
There are lodging facilities here, and you can also watch the Atami fireworks festival. It was a great location that made you want to come stay and feel like a resort.
