In super fine detail, though… here! But it’s still cute. After all, I’m changing the interior panel. If you ask me what to do with the shift knob, I want to change it. There was also a long, thin one made entirely of wood. That’s not from Kazuki Auto. It’s from a different place.

These seat covers have an additional option with cushions inside. Seats are not just about patterns, they are also sold for body protection. I was recommended this, and I was quite hesitant. With this, you can also insert cushions, which is great. Changing colors and adding cushions, killing two birds with one stone.

It also has pockets at the back, nice. Oh, right. You can put the vehicle inspection certificate there. Certainly! Looking forward to it. Let’s install this today. Basically, we don’t take the expressway during our travels, so we drive safely like this. In case we need to take the dogs to the vet, we can remove the rear luggage and put a crate there. We hope that won’t happen. But we’ve arranged things to be user-friendly.

Finally, our dream custom parts have arrived! How does it feel, the seat? Pretty good. Really good. Totally different. I didn’t think it would be this different, so it feels like a great purchase. The rebound urethane is truly amazing. Now, let’s talk about the price that everyone’s curious about.

Allow me to announce it, even though it may be presumptuous. The cost of these custom parts! First, the interior panel. It was 34,100 yen. Quite pricey. But it’s cute. Good. I’m glad we bought this. That’s good. Next, the shift knob! It’s 7,700 yen. There were cheaper shift knobs for around 2,000 yen, but…

We wanted it to match the color of the interior panel. We got a bit particular about it. Next, the handle cover! It was 4,800 yen! Surprisingly, it turned out to be a good purchase. How about the handle cover? It’s good, it’s good. Does it feel different? It has a solid grip.

It got a bit thicker, so people with small hands might find it hard to grip. For women or smaller individuals, it might be a bit challenging. But it’s good for me. It’s good, it’s good. Continuing with the complete set of seat covers! It was 30,400 yen.

The low-resilience urethane we mentioned earlier was an option. 12,000 yen. So, a total of 42,400 yen. The seat covers are surprisingly affordable, but… Expensive is expensive, right? Compared to buying a chair, it’s inexpensive. That’s right. Certainly. It got quite soft. I think it’ll show its true value during long drives.

But it’s quite comfortable. Nice. I’m happy; the color matches well. Good. So, the total for the DIY around the driver’s seat was! 89,000 yen! It adds up, doesn’t it? Since we kept the overall DIY costs low. When you add it all up, it’s quite a bit. It’s quite a bit.

As we mentioned in the beginning, we were really undecided about whether to change the appearance or go for custom parts. To turn the Hiace into a round model, the kits from Flex are around 200,000 yen. Those Toyota-themed kits. It was a tough decision. But, well, well, well…

It’s half the price of going for the round model. When we do go for the round model, we’ll work harder to afford it. It’ll be a reward for achieving something. We’re keeping it as a surprise. So, we don’t know when we’ll turn the Hiace into a round model.
