Good morning. Today I will send my friend to Tatsuno City in Hyogo Prefecture. I’m currently driving on the Shin-Meishin Expressway. At Kobe Junction, take the Sanyo Expressway and from here you can go to Tatsuno City in about an hour. Today we will be sightseeing in Tatsuno City.

I haven’t decided where to sightsee yet. We will walk around Tatsuno, eat delicious food, and sightsee. Tatsuno Interchange First, I dropped off my friend at his destination. I’m going to walk around Tatsuno. I will visit a shrine I found nearby. Walk around town depending on your mood.

Visit the Tatsuno Soy Sauce Museum. The price is 10 yen. Tatsuno City is famous for its light soy sauce. Watch a video about the history of Tatsuno soy sauce. The tools used to make soy sauce in the past are on display.

Soft water from the Ibo River with a low iron content is essential for making light soy sauce. Fry the wheat here. A ferry that was used when there was no bridge on the Ibo River. This is the toll for the first bridge built over the Ibo River.

A toll was charged to protect the ferry. Soy sauce tests were being conducted here. This is a koji room for making koji. Here, tools to make barrels for storing soy sauce are on display. Making barrels is also a craftsman’s skill. Soy sauce was squeezed here.

This is a rare soy sauce and moromi vending machine that recreates the Meiji era . You can also tour the Tatsuno Castle Ruins for free. I’m going to go to a store I found on Google Maps. Speaking of Tatsuno, it is famous for somen. I eat somen here. Kasumitei Nyumen

Has pickled plums in the middle. It was very delicious, so I recommend this place if you come to Tatsuno. After eating, I decided to walk around town a little more. Tatsuno Shrine. From here is the samurai residence museum. The ceilings of samurai living spaces are low so that they cannot swing their swords.

I’m going to pick up a friend and then go eat some sweets. It’s a cafe with a space where you can relax and enjoy koji cheesecake . The streets of Tatsuno City have been designated as a traditional building preservation district. This area is also part of it. It’s fun just walking around town.

I don’t think you’ll get tired of walking all day. This time, I walked around the city within the limited time I had. It was fun to see something while walking. There are many places that are free. I wanted to come again in Tatsuno. From here, head down the Ibo River to the south.

Then I headed to the roadside station Mitsu. Just watching the freight trains is fun. The reason I’m heading to Mitsu Roadside Station is… Eating oysters at a restaurant at Mitsu Roadside Station. The area around Tatsuno and Aioi is an oyster production area. You can eat delicious oysters.

Roadside Station Mitsu’s Restaurant has been a place I’ve wanted to go to for a while. Today I decided to go to the roadside station Mitsu Restaurant, which was full of oysters , grilled oysters , fried oysters, and oyster hotpot .
