[ 韓国 建築巡り Vlog ] LGアートセンター 安藤忠雄設計の楕円柱状の廊下をもつ複合施設 ( Korea Trip Vlog / LG Arts Center / Tadao ANDO )

I take the train to the nearest station I exit the ticket gate My destination is directly connected to the subway station I arrive at my destination It is an architecture designed by Tadao Ando On the left is a three-story multipurpose hall On the right is a two-story science museum

A columnar space of elliptical cross section connects the two facilities Building has 4 stories above ground and 3 below I came to the other side of the building There is a big roundabout This building is located in Magoku Park and was built as part of an urban development project

The elliptical columnar space is named “Catalyst Tube” Underground parking garage Cross-section of Catalyst tube showing on exterior I’m going in. I look inside the building I look first at the space to the south Space with reinforced concrete atrium Staircase typical of Tadao Ando

Next time I want to stop by the science museum next to it I’m back in the Catalyst tube The tilted oval shape is more difficult to construct Corridor is 80 m long and 10 m high The bridge has an artwork that produces a doughnut-shaped fog ring There are openings in places

Walls are louvered with wood-like sheeting I proceed to the back I’ll see the hallway sticking out later In the middle of the long hallway is an elevator hall Overhead caution sign I walked to the north entrance/exit I look from the hallway into the lobby of the art center

I look from the lobby to the Catalyst Tube The outside of the Catalyst Tube has a concrete finish The lobby is named Step Atrium The step atrium is a large atrium space Visual continuity between the interior of the building and the park outside List of various rooms

I see the foyer side of the hall The curved wall that forms the facade of the hall is named the Gate Arc Huge wall 70 m wide and 20 m high The gate arc is a beautiful 3-dimensional curved surface and powerful Ticket counter at bottom of stairs

On the other side is a sub-hall foyer I look at the first floor On the other side of the foyer in the sub hall there is a store Modern interior design Various goods assortment Cool refrigerator with food and beverages on display I’m back in the step atrium

The space is very bright with glass curtain walls Is this chair also designed by Tadao Ando? I see a step atrium I see vertical flow lines in the step atrium Escalators are uphill only I look up I like the contrast between the straight vertical flow lines and the curved wall

I go up to the second floor Monotone space with concrete Cafe on second floor Seating enclosed by walls I look around the second floor of the step atrium Gate arc opening connecting the hall foyer and step atrium in terms of flow and visual connection Sub-hall foyer in foreground Gate arc opening is oval

There is a bar table in the foyer There’s a main hall foyer at the end of the way I’m at the back of the second floor foyer The hallway I just looked up from below And further in is the art lounge I go in. The space is bright with skylights

Used as Tadao Ando corner Photographs, models, and sketches are on display. The model makes it easy to understand the spatial elements Drawing Photography Shows construction view Partial model Cross-sectional model of catalyst tube I see there was an architectural model I see that it is planned based on a 100m square plan

Shows roof garden on rooftop Oval shape of catalyst tube is shown Embedded outlet Bridge crossing catalyst tube I look closer I extend my arm and capture it I came back to the step atrium Embedded switches The escalator here is also uphill only Sleeve wall is straight and cool

I go up to the third floor I look at the third floor landing I approach the atrium I look around the third floor of the step atrium I look around the step atrium from the landing I like to dine while looking at the step atrium Restaurant space on the other side is empty

I see the main hall foyer on the third floor The open foyer is very inviting There’s a doorway to the roof garden in the back I continue to the back I exit onto the roof garden Urban development is going on around Magok Park Long, straight, sharp eaves Oval elevator hall

Skylight section of art lounge Italian restaurant that was visible earlier I want to eat there next time I visit Toilet with monotone design Toilet sign Step atrium 100m long from 3rd floor above ground to 3rd floor below ground I go down to the basement I like the presence of the catalyst tube

Escalator is downhill only 20 pieces of art featuring 7 colored flowers from a nearby botanical garden Moving up and down, opening and closing I walked back to the subway station This video is over〜
